Honestly, Dr. Campbell was wonderful during our visit to the oral surgery center in Columbus, GA, but I'm really upset with the front desk. My daughter had a follow-up appointment scheduled for Tuesday, and when we got there, the girl said she had no appointments for us. She didn't even bother to check—just said, 'Oh, she must have fallen through the cracks.' No apology at all, which felt super unprofessional. My time is precious, just like Dr. Campbell's, and I don't like it wasted. Those girls really need to do better with scheduling appointments for patients.

Back in November, I waited 3 weeks for a consultation at this Columbus oral surgeon to have 3 wisdom teeth removed, and I paid out of pocket for it. They told me it had to go through insurance and could take up to 3 weeks, and I mentioned one tooth was hurting. Never heard back. Called in January, and they said insurance hadn't responded yet and they couldn't resend because the 21 days weren't up—it had been almost 2 months! Called my insurance, and they hadn't received anything. Called again in late February, still nothing. Really frustrating experience with the wisdom teeth removal process.

I had my wisdom teeth removed here. I was not informed until I was about to be operated upon that I would not be able to keep my teeth as it was against the law in Georgia as they would be considered biomedical waste at that point. I didn't have time to come to terms with that before I was being put under and I cried about it during my surgery and afterwards. The surgeon was very unsympathetic and acted like it was no big deal, but it is a big deal to me. I literally lost pieces of myself; my bones were thrown in the trash! I couldn't've given informed consent as I was already being administered drugs by the time I realized what was happening. The lack of transparency is what especially upsets me: why wasn't I informed I wouldn't be able to keep my teeth until the last moment? Many of us have our baby teeth from when we were children, so why is expecting to be able to keep one's teeth so unusual, especially since many of us have been able to keep our teeth from other dental procedures? I wouldn't've underwent surgery here if I'd've known my teeth were going to be thrown in the garbage. I don't recommend this surgical center as I felt belittled and like I was stupid for wanting to keep my teeth. There should be clear communication during consultation of what will happen to a patient's removed teeth -- people should be informed before the day of surgery so that they can make an informed choice about whether to have surgery here or try to get a referral elsewhere.
I am not going anywhere but to see Dr. Campbell and his staff. I had a wisdom tooth extracted. I was so nervous. It took less than 5 minutes and I did not feel any pain. They let me know every step they were taking before they took it. I appreciate Dr. Campbell and his staff for the care they took.
I’ll start with the cons and then pros.
Cons: the wait was pretty long. Think he was behind with a patient. I felt like the procedure was rushed because he was behind. Dr. Campbell wasn’t super duper friendly but wasn’t rude. I told him I was nervous but not sure if he cared much.
Pros: He got me in so fast! I was impressed. The method that he took the tooth out was way better than other oral surgeons I been to around here. And he got the tooth out fast! He is very skilled. I’ll give him that.

The office staff took really good care of me, and Dr. Campbell has great bedside manners, explaining everything thoroughly. The whole thing took under 20 minutes, and I didn't even realize the tooth was out. Read reviews beforehand and prayed for an easy, pain-free experience, and that's exactly what I got with the dental implant placement. Couldn't be happier!

So when i went to my dentist and complained about my molars biting my cheeks she said that i might have to have my wisdom teeth taken out and recommended me too Dr. Campbell. When i went for my consultation He rushed through what would happen and it was muffled because of the mask. So fast forward I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled Thursday morning. And the pain is endless its been like 5 days and I don’t know what’s wrong I’ve read multiple RELIABLE websites and it’s gotten worse and he’s out of town.

On surgery day, he and his nurse made sure I was comfortable and pain-free—they were flexible if I needed a breather. The local anesthesia gave me a weird feeling when swallowing, which made me nervous, but they handled it super well. Highly recommend for wisdom teeth removal in GA!

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon with super uncomfortable, swollen cheeks from wisdom tooth pain and an infection in my cheek. The staff at this Columbus oral surgeon was very helpful, nice, and caring—Dr. Campbell was just as pleasant. They got me in for removal the next morning, and I was out and resting at home within like 2 hours! Pain wasn't as bad as I expected after surgery, and I even went to the gym for light recovery that afternoon. Highly recommend this office in GA for wisdom teeth removal, and I'll be back to get my right side done. The office is very clean too!

The front office staff was very nice at this oral surgery center in Columbus, GA, as well as the sweet pregnant woman who took me back. But the doctor's assistant wasn't very pleasant. I've worked in a doctor's office, so I get when appointments fall behind—it was almost 2 hours past my time when I asked her how much longer. No sass or anger from me, but with a mouth full of food, she rudely said, 'He's with another patient, so it's going to take as long as it takes.' Felt really dismissive during what should've been a straightforward visit for oral surgery.

my husband had wisdom tooth removal surgery here September 2021, and we just went with it since it worked with our insurance and we didn’t know any better. during this time, the office staff was very friendly, Dr. Campbell himself not so much. He is arrogant and doesn’t take your level of pain seriously. Aside from the pain, sickness and mistreatment, my husband developed sinus issues (which is normal for most tooth extractions) but was told by Campbell that he “is a tooth doctor, not a nose doctor” after dealing with recurrent drainage issues, pain in sinuses, etc. Post extraction, no antibiotics were prescribed nor was a referral given.
Fast forward to now, April 2022, and multiple other doctors/specialists later…turns out Campbell left HOLES in my husbands sinuses causing bacteria to fill his sinus cavities where no antibiotics, rinses, etc can clear it. he has been dealing with this for 8 months, seeing other doctors at our own expense. Now he is undergoing a surgical sinus endoscopy that would’ve cost us $47k if we didn’t have health insurance, all because of carelessness during surgery.
Sinus issues are normal following tooth removal but unfortunately, i don’t think they should reach this extent, nor should have his sinuses been punctured in the first place. Unless you have thousands of dollars lying around to give other doctors, time to endure extra pain, and want to smell bacteria in your nose 24/7 to where it makes you sick after the fact, don’t go here. Please do your research, even travel to another city if you have to.
My experience with Dr Campbell office 3 years ago for my oldest daughter was amazing. This year with my youngest daughter was horrible. The staff doing the beginning of the consultation was so kind then when they found out that I had cigna the issue began. My daughter mouth was swollen. and she was in a lot of pain, however that didn't matter to them. The told me that my insurance required a preauthization and I takes 21 days for them to get to the insurance company and 10 days for a response. Yes they wanted my child to wait 30 days to her teeth removed. I left the office and called the insurance company and they stated it was not required. I called the office back with the insurance company on line and insurance company stated to the office mananger it was not required. She stated in a smart tone well we require it because cigna doesn't like to pay what they say they going to pay. The moral of the story they was rude and even told me that Dr Campbell said that if I didn't pay 1787 up front that he will not be performing the surgery. Don't go here!! USE WEST GEORGIA ORAL SURGERY
I had 5 wisdom teeth pulled here, I had an extra under my top right. Dr. Campbell was super gentle and gave me no issues. I had a fear of getting it done, not having the best experience with dentists. I chose to have it done under anesthesia. The surgery was super fast and I had no issues afterward. I would recommend him to anyone needing to have teeth pulled.
So glad to have Dr. Campbell as my oral surgeon in Columbus, GA. He and all the staff are very kind and helpful! On surgery day, he explained everything he was going to do and made sure I was pain-free—didn't feel any pain or pressure during the procedure. It was super quick and over before I knew it! The young lady assisting him was also helpful and well-mannered, giving me full details on aftercare and a bag with goodies. Overall, a great experience for oral surgery in the area.

The staff are wonderful, especially Dr. Campbell at this Columbus oral surgeon. Got my tooth removed on Monday, and it was painless. Developed a dry socket and was in a lot of pain, but I was able to call the office and speak to him directly on a weekend. He came from out of town to meet me at his office in GA to relieve the pain—never had a doctor do weekend calls or stop what they're doing to help like that. Really grateful for him and appreciate all he and his staff did for me with the dental implant care.

Dr. Campbell was excellent at the oral surgery center in Columbus. He removed a cracked lower wisdom tooth, and the whole process took maybe 5 minutes—pain-free! I've always had bad experiences with molar extractions being painful, but this was the first time it wasn't. Dr. Campbell and the office staff were very nice and professional. After this, if I ever need any tooth removed in GA, I'll definitely go back to him. Highly recommend for dental implants and other procedures!

Absolutely LOVED the office! My daughter is always uptight, nervous, crying before she arrives at ANY dental appointment, she was really emotional because it wasn't her pediatric dentist Dr. Lee.
This time was different though, she had oral surgery and 5 minutes after they got the laughing gas hooked up she was laughing.
If she has to ever have an oral surgery again, we will be back here. When we left, she expressed to me that she really liked the dentist and he was super nice😁❤
