Popped into the Cardington Dollar General for a few grocery items and was super impressed by how friendly the staff was. In and out quick with my in-store shopping. No complaints at all!

Watch out at this location. Bought an item and the register price was higher than the shelf tag and online price. Ohio has sued Dollar General for this before. I got a refund, but I won't be back. Not cool to overcharge customers.

Had a really bad experience at the Cardington Dollar General. The general manager, Tammy, was incredibly rude to me and my little girl. We had coins and a dollar bill to pay for food, and no one was at the register, so we had to use self-checkout. Tammy came over and told us not to bring change in. We've spent a lot of money there and never had issues with anyone else. Just her. Really disappointing.

I usually have all good things to say about the cardington store BUT I went in the store to do some Christmas shopping for our residents 5 of them so you can imagine how time consuming that would be WELL first the cashier acted disgusted with us because it was time consuming and the manager herself was sooo HATEFUL because the store was a mess well were not the ones who messed it up but she really acted like we did it all anyways this was the first really bad experience I've had at this store and the manager has had so many complaints about her but nothing is ever done about it smh.
Would be 5 stars if it weren't for Tammy, an employee who is consistently rude. Every time we go in and she's working, she's awful. After the remodel, we asked about stock and she just pointed at empty shelves with a smart attitude. We've tried being friendly, but she's always like that. The store itself is fine, but her attitude ruins it.

I'm from Marion but I'd rather drive to this Dollar General in Cardington. Way better selection and prices, and the staff is great. Never have to wait in long lines. Worth the trip for grocery shopping!

Management is terrible. Prices are wrong constantly, and the manager is rude to both employees and customers. When you correct her on a price, she makes excuses. I live in town but drive to Mt. Gilead just to avoid her. Change managers and you'll see improvement.

More than 6 customers in line and only one cashier. Reminded me of Walmart. Cashier carded me for cigarettes—I'm over 60. Then after digging through my wallet, she asked for my birthday. Come on, ask that first. Makes me miss Family Dollar.

Had a great shopping trip today at Dollar General! Bought two 32-packs of water for $6, an official Mossy Oak shirt, and a $10 Ohio State Buckeyes hat. Also grabbed some Progresso clam chowder. Love this store!

They have a lot that you would have never thought they would. If your not sure about it being there just ask the employees and they will point you in thw right direction if not just take you to it. Very helpful employees at this store.
This store is always running out of things or it's never on the shelf. The dollar general brand cat litter bag is never tied closed and it spills out. They give me a hard time about going to the back to get me dog food that's not on the shelf. They suck....
Excellent product selection. Fast friendly service. Staff friendly and smiling, made me feel very welcome.
It's great having a place to get last minute necessities so close to home, especially till 10pm after most everything else had closed.
Employee s are friendly .. I understand multi tasking but when you leave the regester they should have a bell when you go up to check out..
There is a lot of idames for $1.00 that a lot of others charge $2.00 to$3.00 for so if you wonte to save a little money then Dollar General is a great place to buy
Was in the store with my mom and an employee came out back talking about 'the woman' in the bathroom. I realized it was my mom. Called her out on it, other customers heard, and it was just unethical. Won't be returning.

They are very polite and friendly at the Cardington Ohio Dollar General. The restroom is in the front of the store and clean and accessible unlike the Mount Gilead Ohio 43338 location.
