Honestly, worst experience I've had at an orthodontist in Swansea, IL. Big miscommunication on their part about my braces removal. I was scheduled for removal and paid $1,000 upfront for removal and retainers included (or so I was told). My appointment was booked a month and a half out by the office manager herself. Come the day of the appointment, the receptionist requested an additional $500 for retainers. I tried to explain what Julie told me when I booked, but was completely shut down and told it was a "he said, she said" situation. The only thing they could offer was a refund or removal without retainers. Of course, I requested the refund.

The absolute BEST orthodontist in Swansea, IL! Dr. Markarian goes above and beyond for his patients. We've been seeing him for over 10 years with my daughter and not once have I been unhappy. Dr. Markarian and my daughter have the best bond! His staff is absolutely amazing and you never feel rushed. No one beats Dr. Markarian! Awesome orthodontist office in Swansea! Our family is currently on our 4th treatment here - both my children and I'm back for my second round (purely for aesthetics since I didn't wear my retainers as a kid). The staff are absolute professionals - kind, patient and thorough with younger patients. My youngest daughter just had her upper braces placed, and I was so impressed with how they educated her about her responsibilities during treatment and reduced her anxiety. I had had a terrible experience with smile direct club and dr markarian stepped in and helped me out tremendously to get my teeth back in order it was a journey and a process but he got the job done .
Never got to Smile direct club for braces they are terrible .

We decided to take our young daughter to Dr. Markarian for some braces. It was a no-brainer to go there, since my grown step-daughter was going back to him and I went when I was younger for a consultation. I then decided at 40 to try to get my teeth fixed. He suggested Invisalign (wasn't out when I went to him when I was younger) and the rest is history!!! I love going to the clean, bright office. His staff is also so professional is courteous.

Been going to Markarian Orthodontics in Swansea since I was in third grade and I absolutely love Dr. Markarian and his staff! Everyone there is very professional yet they make sure you feel welcomed and are super personable. Vivian has been great with my last few appointments too. I give this Orthodontics a 4 out of 5 stars because the employees are all very kind, but I didn’t give it a full 5 stars because there were a couple times when my Invisalign trays were way over due and my appointments continued to get pushed back. Covid was also no help to the situation, as it made scheduling appointments that much tougher. Overall I’d recommend this orthodontist because they do care about your final results and showed sympathy when I came in with any issues.
