They really went above and beyond for me at Southwest Virginia Oral Surgery in Roanoke. I was in so much pain and needed an emergency oral surgery, so I called to see if I could get in earlier—they scheduled me for just two days later. On the day, they gave me a valium beforehand which helped a ton with my nerves. I got there a few minutes early, and they took me back right away, had me hooked up quickly, and didn't even make me count down. The whole thing was handled so efficiently, and I felt so much better afterward.

Well to be honest for an overall review I can give it four stars. Dr Perez seemed very nice and the staff up front were very pleasant. One of ladies in the back was a little short and snappy with me and it kind of made me uncomfortable before I ever sat in the chair. I woke up from being under while I was still being stitched up and that was not a good experience for me at all. They did however follow up on me the next day which was very nice. So yep, four stars it is. Thank you Dr Perez.

Staff was very friendly and explained everything before, during, and after procedure. Wisdom tooth extraction was very quick, and zero pain afterwards which was a pleasant surprise. The check-in staff and nurse at Southwest Virginia Oral Surgery in Roanoke were friendly and helpful, and the doctor did a great job with my extraction—he told me exactly what he was going to do. The only downside was my appointment was at 3:30, I got there at 3:15, but I didn't see the doctor until around 4:20, which was almost an hour wait. They were super friendly! I didn't have to wait in the waiting room long! It was very clean! I had a broken tooth and I called and explained that I was having really bad pain all of a sudden could they bump me up to a different day they did and I was in and out with my tooth being x-rayed and pulled in less than an hr!
So if you are looking for clean, friendly and quick with no worries its the place for you!!!! I hate getting teeth worked on and it was a great experience!

Sincerely… if you need an oral surgeon I’m sorry… it’s not easy. But if you do… Dr Scroggins and Staff are the best! The Staff are like a Mom I never had… so incredibly kind and caring. As a Trauma survivor… I have old-fear issues but they made me feel safe, cared for, and even held my hand when it was needed. Implants are not so bad 😊 and worth it. They do, for real, care about you there.

My daughter had all 4 of her wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Scroggins was very thorough in his explanations of the process as well as how to prepare. Post procedure, he thoroughly explained the recovery process (we also received a handout with detailed instructions) and answered all of our questions. He never made us feel rushed, showed extra kindness to our daughter who was feeling anxious, and did a great job. We will definitely be using his services for any future needs!
