Had the BEST experience at Advanced Dental Care in Costa Mesa. The front desk, assistant, hygienist, and dentist all made me feel cared for. They're not even in-network for me, but I paid out of pocket and will switch insurance just to keep coming. I am a terrible dental patient. My very first experience with a dentist as a 4 year old is a core traumatic experience and I have been terrified to find a new dentist. I wanted a dentist that specialized in “gentle” dentistry, took my insurance and was near either my neighborhood or where I work. Advanced Dental Care checked all of those boxes and had excellent reviews. When I called to make an appointment, the scheduler was informative, friendly, and I was able to get an appointment three days later, which blew me away. I filled out all my forms online and before I could even finish the office had called me back with all of my insurance coverage information. Gotta love proactive financial transparency.
My first experience at the office today was fantastic. The reception staff was very friendly, upbeat, and welcoming. My hygenist was amazing (and on time!). She was kind and LISTENED to me. Her empathy and compassion made me feel at ease. Dr. Jorgenson has a wonderful “chair side” manor and he was clear and consise without adding anxiety or fear to the appointment. When I was checking out they already had a financial breakdown of today’s appointment and any future appointments. Honestly, the financial breakdown of the future appoints was really helpful for scheduling follow ups.

Switched dentists after seeing the same one for about 14 years. I researched good ones in the area on Google and Reddit and this was the one that was highly rated. They had better availability than my old dentist and much more up-to-date technology and scheduling options. Had booked a cleaning and was able to fill out new member forms from my phone. I even had the option to request dark glasses for the visit which I LOVED. The front desk, x-ray tech, hygienist, and of course dentist were all very personable, professional, and friendly. I even had the option to bring my retainers for cleaning. The cleaning itself was pretty thorough and my teeth felt great after. I have to change insurance again so I made sure to pick one that this office accepts.
