Took my husband to Afdent in Fort Wayne today and everyone was so kind and professional! As soon as we walked in the front door the ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We were called back for X-rays and a full exam. Sarah explained all of the treatments that we should do and she was so kind. My husband had two teeth extracted. We eventually ended up back with Sarah and she rebuilt my husband’s front teeth! Sarah was the most amazing person we have interacted with in a professional setting like this! She was so professional, kind, patient, caring and talented! We highly recommend Afdent in Fort Wayne.
Afdent was so great and very caring. Someone such as myself who is terrified of all dentists but I had to go get some work done finally, they were absolutely amazing and I couldn't be happier with how Afdent treated me. I highly recommend them for anyone that needs any kind of teeth work.

I have to say, having an emergency where my tooth had bothered me for days, and I couldn’t get any sort of relief and to walk in and receive the kindness and care as well as wonderful treatment from start to finish, is truly amazing. It never felt like it was a cash grab or I was pushed to do something. They wanted me to do. I was given options, which were explained thoroughly and Afdent not only managed to pay pain from the moment I came in the door, but also ease my anxieties. I could not have asked for a better outcome and can only give praise for those who had a hand in taking care of me during my visit. I will be highly recommending Afdent to anyone in need of dental work.
I brought my son in for an emergency dental appointment at 9:30 AM and was told there was one patient ahead of us who was already being seen. However, after waiting for three hours, we walked out at 12:30 PM without my son ever being seen. While I understand that walk-in appointments are fit in between scheduled patients, the wait time was excessive and unacceptable. When I inquired about the delay, the staff was rude and dismissive. If this office advertises emergency dental services, they should consider having a dedicated dentist for same-day emergency appointments to avoid such long wait times. The lack of organization, the rude behavior of the staff, and ultimately not even being seen after a three-hour wait made a stressful situation even worse.
Everyone was super nice and helpful! The office is nice makes you feel comfortable. The doctor i spoke to was very understanding and helpful to me with my options! Definitely recommend going here even if you are scared of the dentist, they will make you feel comfortable.
Always excellent friendly service. They really know what they are doing and do it well. I have been there many times and always get great service and care from start to finish.
Unheard, rushed, and Disappointing
I recently had all my teeth pulled to get dentures, hoping for a better smile and improved quality of life. Instead, I’ve left with a painful, non-custom fit that doesn’t look natural, and I feel completely unheard throughout the process. I have visited over 20 dentists in the last five years, trying to rebuild and recreate my smile within a budget I can afford. It’s been a long, stressful journey, and this experience has been among the worst.
Three weeks ago, I started this denture process here, but I’ve found the approach unhelpful: I’m told what to do without understanding my goals, and the fit and aesthetics don’t reflect my individuality (the gaps, natural look, and comfort I want aren’t being achieved). I don’t feel like I’m a person with a unique smile—more like a number in a cattle call.
I drive over two hours to this clinic and have had scary, negative experiences and very little listening or empathy. I want my care to acknowledge my needs, including how I eat, speak, and feel about the natural look. If you’re considering this clinic, please ask for a plan that addresses daily comfort, natural appearance, and a patient-centered approach, not just procedures and numbers.
My goal is a natural appearance, comfortable fit, and a process that treats me as a partner—not just a video to watch , every time I express a concern told everyone goes through it or as a number. .
I had a filling coming out of one of my teeth which made my tooth tender to cold stuff. The doctor explained what was going on with the tooth in detail and explained my options. He was very thorough and friendly. My tooth was in bad shape so it had to be removed. They were able to remove the tooth that same day and they did it for a fair price. Afdent is by far the best dentist around for me. I trust them and have used them for other dental procedures too. For once I found a highly rated dentist that treats you honestly and they don’t try to sell you anything. You don’t need. Thank you Afdent!
Very nice and compassionate staff, very helpful explaining the processes. Never made to feel ashamed of my dental issues which has happened with other dentists. Walked in with pain and out without!
Afdent (Fort Wayne) was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked through the door. I came in around 10:30 a.m. the day after Christmas with serious tooth issues, and the front office staff immediately made me feel cared for—offering ice packs and oral numbing gel while they helped me get settled.
Despite having a completely full schedule, they went above and beyond to make room for me and complete extensive work, including a tooth extraction, bone graft, and creating a replacement flipper so I didn’t have to leave without a tooth. The lab team even stayed late to finish my flipper. I truly can’t express how thankful and grateful I am for the time, effort, and genuine compassion the entire team showed me.
Dr. Hubbard and Dr. Hester were fast, efficient, and did an excellent job. However, the person who truly made the biggest impact on my experience was the dental assistant, Cindy. She was phenomenal—handling X-rays, multiple impressions, and thoroughly explaining everything along the way. Her passion for her job truly showed, and she made me feel completely at ease throughout the process.
The fact that the entire office stayed until 6 p.m. the day after Christmas just to make sure I was taken care of speaks volumes about their dedication. I highly recommend Afdent to anyone looking for outstanding dental care and a team that genuinely puts patients first. I will most definitely be going back. - Austin
By far the absolute worst experience I have had my entire life at a dentist. I received a crown into which I have had pain and discomfort since I had it done here. When I called originally all they said is give it a few days the discomfort will subside. It’s been a few years, I still have constant pain I have hot/cold discomfort I can’t chew anything but extremely soft foods on the side of the crown. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE unless you absolutely have to. You’ll regret it
In the past, I have been quite satisfied with my treatment at Afdent. There were a few problems over time with two new crowns falling off more than once, but the response was prompt and satisfactory. On Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, my appointment to replace an older crown that had fallen off lasted 5 hours. The first person who worked on me seemed to me to be working very slowly with lots of long gaps between actions. At about the three-hour mark (my guess in a basement office with no clocks), whatever painkiller you were using was no long effective. I was actually whimpering. She was replaced by a team that gave me occasional boosts, but the pain was only reduced for a few minutes. They moved as quickly as possible, had a gentler touch and acted much kinder than the first person. My experience was not what I have come to expect at Afdent.
Chipped my tooth and they had it fixed in 2 hours, very polite and friendly. Had to wear my back up dentures and he even fixed that one really quick so it didn't hurt me. Very happy with them.
I have some incredible doctors, but I have never been treated so warmly at a healthcare facility. From the minute I walked into Affdent, everyone treated me special. It did not seem forced or phony. Sydney was extremely gracious and provided me with two blankets when I had convulsive shakes from being cold. She was very attentive and asked about my comfort level several times. Great personality. Dr. Braasch, there is nothing I can say to address his professionalism, bedside manner, personality, and skill. AWESOME - the best experience as a patient. He was funny, which was disarming. He was expedient because I wanted to go home and crawl under my electric blanket. That was my only complaint - being cold, but I have no tolerance for cold. Thank you so much. I have no discomfort & no need for pain meds, today. Feeling great!
Kelly & Helen in financial were very helpful & Technicians Caroline , Heather & Anna made our family comfortable and our treatments easy. It was my four children ages 11,13,15,&17 as well as myself. 2 cavities on 2 kiddos & all 5 cleanings. We were there at Fort Wayne office from 11-3. The time went fast & we were all made comfortable for our treatments. My 13yr old daughter was scared midway through her cavity being cleaned to be filled and Anna came to get me to stay in the room to make it easier for my daughter. The Dr was also very patient. Great teamwork and customer service A+
I don’t understand for the life of me why this place thrives on causing mental distress and anxiety to the point of causing a patient to want to harm themselves. For what? money!!!! Too bad there may be some good people here but because they work here it makes them ugly. I’m so sad. Sick to my stomach really. Why must a patient get upset to get anything done. I don’t wish the way I’ve been treated on anyone. I wonder if their parents would be proud of them. Proud that their child may be the cause of another’s life. I wonder if their loved ones got treated like this. Now it’ll take forever to calm down after a trigger. Talk about PTSD. Something needs to be done, training, a separate finance office I don’t know maybe hire folks that care and if they don’t like their job INSTEAD of triggering a patient… QUIT! Mandy S why don’t you work from home? CLEARLY this is not the job for you. Do you thrive on creating an unsafe space for the same people you asking money from? Maybe just maybe if you were a little more approachable, professional, empathetic, oh wait maybe if you knew your patient today would have gone differently but no you had to be something out of this world. Sad. Really. It’s sad that I have to scream and ask for a higher up to get anything done.
They get you in fast and try to fix your teeth. They do their best to keep you comfortable and as pain-free as possible. You get your dentures fast and they are there for any problems you MAY have with them later on. Finically, use insurance, if you don't have it, they will work out a payment plan for you-minus that days visit. They do not accept medicaid though.😔 Everyone from the front door to the dentist are friendly, making sure you are comfortable and feeling at ease. I recommend them to everyone I know.
I updated my review. We ended coming back to have 2 wisdom teeth removed. The staff was phenomenal. So kind, talked us through how everything was going to go, and helped with payments. Definitely recommend, just don't go as a walk in. Lol.
I need to start with the employees are very friendly and helpful. But saying they accept walk-ins is a joke. We waited almost 4 hours and still didn't get called back; but had to leave because of kids and work. You can't tell me they can't look at their schedule and know if they have room for walk-ins or not. Just not super impressed with how they operate.
We did make an appointment for Monday, so my review may change. But I'm still disappointed in the overall management of operations.
Excellent Service and Compassionate Care
We went in for my daughter’s emergency tooth extraction, and the team was amazing! Everyone was so kind, patient, and reassuring. They really helped calm her nerves. They did a great job and made sure she was comfortable the whole time.

Fantastic place. The front desk girls are wonderful and even in pain, you can’t help but smile back at them. Right upon walking in you are offered ice packs and numbing cream - already making you feel cared about. The techs or dental assistants (? Not sure their roles sorry) but they are such kind, gentle people. I feel they went above and beyond to make sure i understood everything going on, and they even took off the price off an x-ray that Aspen was supposed to send them (never did of course and that’s why I switched!). Very gentle with me & could see I was anxious and emotional about switching dentists, and they exceeded my expectations. I have never felt so confident in a decision to switch providers. I feel at afdent they actually care and have EMPATHY! There was a little miscommunication with the dentist about what medications he would prescribe me & I had to call a few times to get the correct medication but ultimately the dentist was busy & that’s understandable! They ended up filling it by the end of the day & honestly probably after their office hours by the looks of it. I am so thankful to afdent and grateful for the people who work here. I feel more motivated than ever to go to the dentist & keep up with my care because I am HAPPY to give my money to a place like this. Also this dentist seems to care about people’s confidence and is more open to exploring saving teeth versus other dental offices. Seems like they give patients more options instead of making them feel stuck. Recommending this office to anyone who will listen lol !!
