Well, I've been a patient at Amara Dental for several years, but in the last couple, they've scheduled appointments for me only to cancel them when I show up—happened about 4 times now. Not even a call or email to let me know ahead of time, which just doesn't seem professional for a dental office in Howell Township. I called ahead to check if my insurance covered a cleaning, and they just said 'it should' without even looking. Got there 15 minutes early, gave them my cards, and they said no paperwork needed. 45 minutes later, I had to ask when I'd be seen, and they hadn't even marked me present because I needed to fill out forms. Went to Amara Dental in Howell Township for an emergency, and nothing was done—they diagnosed me with sinusitis and two cavities, scheduled me for the next week to treat them. The pain got worse, so I saw two other dentists who both said I didn't have cavities. Canceled that appointment for a cavity that doesn't exist, and on top of the wrong diagnosis, I was charged $75. Makes me wonder if they would've 'treated' non-existent cavities for emergency dentistry in NJ.

Where do I start! Had to see the doctor last minute in Howell Township because my front cap was loose before surgery. Got it done quickly, but it felt off, and sure enough, it was crooked when I got home. Called the office, the receptionist said she'd tell the doctor, but never heard back—plus I paid a big copay for what was supposed to be emergency dentistry. A week later at a cleaning, the doctor was adamant about fixing it right and asked why I didn't come back sooner.

I had used Amara dental Wall and Brick but both closed. I have been at Howell Amara for a couple of years. The dental professionals were fine. The office management was terrible. I emailed the general office email a few times a couple months prior to an appointment. I needed a one page form to be completed for a prior authorization. The office never responded. I called and was given another email address of a specific person and sent the form there. They again never answered so I ultimately canceled the appointment. I then requested by phone message and email that my x-rays be sent to another dental office. I have not had any response to either emails or phone messages over two weeks later. I ended up getting new x-rays. My final thought is to file a HIPAA complaint for failure to provide medical records. I would find an office which has better management.
Needed a lot of work done at Amara Dental in Howell Township, with stains from tobacco and coffee. They made me feel at ease and got most of the stains out in under an hour—super quick! Honestly excited to go back and finish up, which is crazy to say about a dentist. The staff here in NJ has such great personalities and service, especially for things like teeth whitening.

Been coming here for years! Michael is the best hygienist I hope he never leaves! He is gentle and I very rarely bleed during my cleanings! He also makes sure to smooth my bonded front tooth out each time!

The entire office was so friendly and helpful. I’m a huge brat when it comes to the dentist and the office made me feel beyond comfortable. I can’t sing their praises enough. When I walked in the door I was pleasantly greeted, exceptional care in the room while my very painful mouth was examined and radiographed, clear plan was communicated and future appointments booked. The office was accommodating for my recent broken tooth and I was seen fast. I would highly recommend.
I have been going to this dentist office for a while and they never cease to amaze me. Not only is the staff very friendly and accommodating, but they're very efficient for what they do. They definitely make the routine check ups easy and make me look forward to going to the dentist.
Totally impressed with the whole place. Front desk lady has her stuff down- and goes out of way to ensure u understand how the insurance will work. Dentist was totally personable but also really professional. My Xray tech was an effective ninja- and my cleaning guy was on point with great suggestions and was gentle but thorough- so far so good! I’ll update review after my new crowns are completed in few weeks.
