Please look elsewhere for dental care in Roanoke. Five years ago, I explained my anxiety and wanted all treatment done quickly. They agreed, then said I needed fillings in every tooth. During the procedure, the dentist missed my mouth and drilled my lip, leaving a huge gash that still scars. Worse, three years later, a filling failed and caused a horrible infection. I trusted them as professionals, but this experience with dental fillings in Virginia has been traumatic.

Absolute worst place I've been to in Roanoke! Outrageous prices, and Will was rude and standoffish - felt like they were scamming me out of hundreds. Had teenagers taking x-rays, and the doctor wasn't much better. Came in nervous for extractions and dentures, and they made me more nervous. Left crying, not knowing where to go. Unprofessional and made me feel nervous the whole visit. Last place anyone should go for dental care in Virginia!

This place in Roanoke is incredible. Had a dental emergency late evening, and they fit me in next morning. I'm very pain-sensitive, but Dr. Ferreira and her team were super understanding and went above and beyond to make me feel safe. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Amanda helped clarify insurance hiccups, and Brooke at the desk always answers questions. Usually feel anxious at dentists, but not here in Virginia.

My hygienist was awesome and super friendly, but my wife and I had insurance issues at almost every visit over two years. The problem was an out-of-network dentist in Winchester, VA we have no connection to. Some bills got rebilled, some I paid out-of-pocket, but it should've been fixed after the first visit. Something's goofy with how they handle insurance in Roanoke. Also, making you call to cancel appointments is just annoying.

Honestly, making the two-hour drive to Aspen Dental in Roanoke, VA was totally worth it. My previous dentist said I'd need four extractions, but the team here was so thorough they found I only needed two. The hygienist was super helpful with my dry mouth and sensitivity issues, giving me tons of practical tips. Office staff were kind and knowledgeable, and the whole thing was way less painful than I expected. Best dental experience I've had in Virginia!

Loved it here! The dentist was absolutely amazing, and so were the other girls - very professional. Can't believe how far the team at this Roanoke office went for me. My crowns got delayed by a storm, so the dentist and office manager actually picked them up from FedEx themselves before she left town. New patient. The call center that took my initial call was thorough and helpful. They got me in the next day, handled my broken tooth and had me scheduled for a cleaning a few days later. The Doctor was great and Stacy, the dental hygienist, was wonderful as well! Good processes and good people!

Front office staff and hygienist were very friendly. The doctor was very good.
The biggest problem was i wasn't scheduled for an emergency appointment like I had done online. Upon checking in was told it would be taken care of. Instead they send you to an office manager that's only wanting to sell you dental implants or dentures and do a treatment plan. When I asked about my emergency...can't be done today you can come back tomorrow. Wait....what???
If they would skip the trying to upsell and treat the patients first would be a good step. But it's a franchise...

Very underwhelming experience. Didn’t feel like dentists office. First words… “that will be $29 for today’s visit” before asking why?? A lot of staff running around in various street clothing with just 2-3 pts. Young experienced staff learning how to shoot X-rays. May be appropriate for emergencies? No thanks!

I had my teeth removed and then got my dentures. I always felt uncomfortable smiling because they looked to big for my mouth. Everyone there they look really good...then along comes Kristie. She asked me how I liked my teeth and I went all out about my feelings on my teeth. So then she told me that they could look a lot better and that's exactly what she did. She got me some better fitting and also better looking teeth that fit my mouth so much better. I hope she can help others out there with their problems. I had an appointment today as a new patient. Staff is very friendly and professional from the dental assistant to the operation manager Will. Amanda and Will explained and went over my treatment plan and made sure I knew what was being covered. Dr. Ferreira I would recommend to anyone. She is very friendly and professional and thorough with her explanations.

Dr Carolina Ferreira is the dentist owner of this location. She is excellent. I had two tooth emergencies back to back.
First, I had a cracked tooth underneath my crown, and she recommended and referred me to an endodontist. The endodontist said it was not a candidate for a root canal so it had to be extracted. Dr Ferreira extracted the tooth with no issues.
Then my other side back molar crown cracked and I had to get it replaced. They have the newer technology which works great to take digital images of your tooth size for manaufacture of the porcelain crown. It fit great and comes with a 5 year warranty.
The temporary crown was not the best, but you only wear it for about 1.5 weeks until the new crown is made and delivered.
I did have to wait a couple of months to get in for 6 month cleaning though as they were short staffed for hygienist at the time. The dental hygienist was pleasant and did a good job.
Everyone in the office is friendly and professional.

I'm very impressed with everyone! They are all extremely pleasant and professional. Everyone offers to assist and listens when you talk.
The facility is extremely clean. All employees from the receptionist, to the dentist, to management answer all questions and treat with respect and understanding.
The focus is on what you want and need and to do their best to provide in the most affordable way possible.

I feel very confident that once my treatment is totally completed, I'll have absolutely no discomfort and the smile back that I had 10 years ago. I've been very ill for years with a great deal of vomiting. I clench and grind my teeth, increased by being in severe pain. Over the last few years, my weakened teeth began cracking and breaking and I didn't have them treated. I finally got to a point I could focus on my health. Aspen Dental has been wonderful providing a solution that will get my teeth cared for, my smile back, and give me my confidence back.
I've always been one that loved to smile and bring happiness to others. I want to be that person again and Aspen Dental Tanglewood is making sure it can happen!
