The staff here is excellent, friendly, and competent. My hygienist Leslie was super gentle during my cleaning—I'll definitely see her again for a deep cleaning. Dr. Freeman is a wonderful dentist, but the front desk experience with Randi was terrible. She was rude and unprofessional, and I have audio recordings. They never followed up on treatment plans or handled billing properly. Really disappointed because the clinical care is good, but the front desk needs serious improvement.

I genuinely have not had a good experience with the doctors here. I’m a bit confused by all the outstanding reviews, I have seen two separate doctors now and each were either dismissive or all together rude.
One expressed his upset (childishly), since I had used the “uk numbering system” when talking about where I had cavities filled in the past. He then proceeded to lecture me and ask multiple times if I have medical background.
The second doctor looked at one molar, after the cleaning with the assistant, asked me a question, got tired of my response and left mid conversation. They also both left before giving me fluoride which I had already asked for separately.
The some assistants are nice, some front desk is nice, but my overall experience here has not been welcoming in the slightest.
28 years and counting—that says it all. The team here is fantastic, from the hygienists to the dentists. Cleanings and X-rays are always pleasant, and the office has modern equipment, a comfy waiting room with coffee, and I rarely wait more than a minute. Super convenient location in Atlanta.

Edit: The office reached out to me to try to fix the situation. some months later when I was visiting family, I came back in and Dr. Freeman scrapped off the overhangs and gave me a refund for one of the fillings since it would need to be redone. Dr. Freeman suggested I redo the filling with a dentist near where I live now since it'll be easier to do adjustments and follow-ups that way. Still a headache to deal with and the insurance coverage has already been used so nothing can be done about that, but I appreciate that the office earnestly tried to help me and refunded me when they couldn't.
I had gone to this dentistry for a few years and thought I could trust them but at my last set of appointments with them, I had several cavities found and filled by Dr. Patel. I had some pain after some of them and they were adjusted eventually to no longer hurt. However while the filings on the other side of my mouth didn't hurt they did seem to shred and catch my floss sometimes. I didn't think it was an issue since it didn't hurt and was told to look out for pain after fillings not floss, so I focused on the painful fillings. After moving and getting x-rays from a new dentist they could see my floss was getting stuck because I had multiple ledges/overhangs where the fillings stick out done by Atlanta Dentistry by Design. My newer dentist warned me it'll be easier for food to get stuck in the overhang and I could get cavities more easily. Now I have to worry about the bad fillings and wait until my insurance covers new fillings before I can get them redone.

For the first time I can truly say “I love my dentist”. I am in and out in under 45 min for cleanings, never have to wait, and never have any insurance billing issues. The staff and hygienists are so friendly (shoutout to my hygienist Jamie!) and professional. Parking is validated so make sure you bring your ticket in with you.

I was referred to Atlanta Dentistry by Design and was pleasantly pleased with the ease of setting up the appointment. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the pleasant front desk staff. I arrived about 20 minutes before my appointment time and was able to be seen shortly after arriving. Chau was the staff person that assisted me from beginning to end. She was very pleasant throughout the procedure (cleaning) and the visit. The Dr. gave a very detailed and helpful analysis of my Xray images and provided suggestions on how we should move in the near future to address some minor issues before they develop into a larger concern. I was very appreciative of his candor and professionalism. I'm pretty sure that I have found my new Dental Home. :)

Good dentist. Nice office. A long way up from the medicaid dental offices that I'm used too. The highlight of my appointment on yesterday was the warm rag they give after my cleaning. Made me feel as if I've made it in life after leaving here.

First of all I am the biggest baby when it comes to going to the dentist. I needed a crown and was so frightened! Dr. Freeman and the staff calmed me down and it WAS NOT what I thought. The only discomfort was the shot but the procedure wasn't at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Freeman!!!
