We decided to try a dentist closer to home in Dickinson, TX after going to the same place for years. Big mistake. From the start, the front desk barely acknowledged us. The hygienist seemed annoyed when I asked where they were taking my kids. X-rays are always tough for me because of a condition, but she had zero patience. Right away they tried pushing a deep cleaning on me. I've been diligent about cleanings every six months, so that felt like a money grab. Really disappointed with the whole experience.

Getting Invisalign here in Dickinson has been great. I come in for my aligner checks and cleanings, and my husband comes too. Stephanie does my cleanings and she's fantastic. If you've ever had tooth pain, you know it affects everything. I was in serious pain and needed help ASAP. Called Bay Colony Dental in Dickinson and they got me in the same day! Dr. Patel had to pull my wisdom tooth — it was impacted and stubborn, but he didn't give up. Eventually got it out and I'm on the mend. Thanks to the whole team!

My daughter recently turned 18 and scheduled an appointment with Bay Colony Dental to have a consultation on dental work, but the main reason was for her wisdom teeth removed later down the road.
When she called to confirm the cost with insurance, she was told that her appointment was booked as a cleaning, not a wisdom tooth removal. The office then changed her appointment to later in the day.
My daughter was understandably nervous and asked about sedation options, but was told they do not provide sedation at this location. I then called when she arrived to her appointment and asked about laughing gas, but was told they only provide it for pediatric patients. When I explained that my daughter was in nervous and asked if they could give it to her, they said no. The the staff quickly suggested sending her elsewhere instead of helping her because she was nervous. I told them we will work with her being nervous and to move forward with the extraction so she is no longer in pain.
When she arrived, she explained which side was bothering her.
Unfortunately, she was numbed on the wrong side. When she spoke up and clarified, they numbed the correct side.
The doctor came in, briefly looked in her mouth for less than two seconds (with a witness present), and then told her she needed to be referred out. After all of this, she was still in pain and no treatment was done.
To make matters worse, the office attempted to charge her for this visit even though we had already paid for her consultation several months ago — and they themselves were the ones who refused to perform the procedure. My daughter rightfully questioned why she should be charged when nothing was actually done. Also, they made the error and numbed her on the wrong side.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. They knew from her consultation that she needed wisdom teeth removed, yet still scheduled her, wasted her time, and caused her unnecessary stress and pain. The lack of communication, compassion, and professionalism from both the front office and clinical staff was unacceptable.
If you are seeking care where your concerns are taken seriously and your time is respected, I would not recommend this office.

Regarding the numbing issue and the need for a referral, we certainly never want our patients to feel unheard or dismissed. We’ll be reviewing this case. internally with our team to ensure better communication and that all patients receive the proper care, from start to finish. We also apologize for the confusion about the charges. We will look into this immediately and make sure that this is resolved.
No treatment was complicated due to patient declining the treatment. We need to evaluate the patient before making any decisions since we don't know what I going on

My husband and I had been looking for a new dentist in Dickinson for a while. Bay Colony Dental is hands down the friendliest dental office we've ever been to! From the front desk to the hygienist to Dr. Patel, everyone was professional and kind. They listened to all my questions and gave thorough answers. I asked a ton! Every experience I've had here has been good. Im having pretty extencive dental work and the prices combined with the staff are are a blessing. The doc. The environment and positive energy. The doc is very personable and cares about his patience. My son is special needs and the doc was extremely patient and honestly made the job possible with his kindness and compassion. I know I'm going on and on. But its no exaggeration. I am very impressed and thankful for everything they have done. Im going to suggest them to you reading this and everybody I know.
