Honestly, my first visit to Bay Dental with Dr. Anthony Cirillo was excellent from start to finish. The office in Staten Island, NY is super clean and organized, and I was seen right away. They took panoramic and regular X-rays efficiently. My hygienist was wonderful—thorough but gentle, and she even flossed my teeth and showed me how to handle my problem areas. Had my filling at Bay Dental in Staten Island less than a year ago, and it fell out while flossing. The dentist told me the $500 option would last longer, but it felt rushed and poorly done. I shared my concerns, and he said it'd be okay over time. Now it's out, and I have to find another $500 or more elsewhere. For dental fillings, please save your time and money—they seem to care more about money than health.

He noticed some cavities forming and, since he had time, offered to do the filling that same day instead of making me come back. It was quick and great work, and he tells it like it is. My insurance covers everything I need taken care of. This specific doctor states he takes my insurance however he states my insurance covers nothing. I’ve had this insurance for years with no issue in payments ever. This was done to me two separate times. The doctor comes to see me plays in my mouth with his tools then sets them down tells me what I need and someone will speak to me about payment. Each time they tell me I have to pay hundreds of dollars for the filling that I require.

I've been a patient at Bay Dental in Staten Island since 2022, and Dr. Anthony has always been excellent. However, during my last visit with the new office manager, I was overcharged by $300 beyond my insurance copayment. There was a new billing code for a scan done on my way out, which was used in prior visits without issue, plus an additional lab charge that never appeared before, even though I've had three crowns done there previously. The insurance complications made it frustrating.

For a young man, he really knows his stuff, is truthful and reasonable and overall it's just a very satisfying and honest experience each time. I literally was in tears sitting in the chair and Dr Circosta was so patient, kind, and compassionate to me. Now, I am really looking forward to finally fixing my teeth because I trust him and he thoroughly explains what he’s going to do before he does it.
