And every time I try to call to make a appointment no one picks up the damn phone

My second visit on Jan 22, 3025, and it was a mess. They quoted $4500 for oral surgery in Long Beach, CA, then said $1175 to pull teeth. I agreed to a payment plan—$300 today and $187 monthly. Gave my card on Monday, and they charged $450 without my okay. No receipt, and other customers were complaining about money issues too. They had no record in the system. Feels like a scam; avoid this place for emergency dental care.

When I got partials top and bottom at this Long Beach dentist, I was told they were permanent. The top was like the bottom initially, but after a problem, Dr. Pham added metal to the top, saying it was permanent. Now the bottom has broken twice, and I was told it's temporary. No way I'd have a permanent top and temporary bottom—feel deceived after paying for two permanents. Used to admire this place in CA for oral surgery, but not anymore.

My hygienist Lyca was great here in Long Beach! She explained the deep cleaning process clearly and got it done super quick. Also gave me some oral hygiene tips that I've started using after my appointment. Really made my dental hygiene visit smooth and helpful in CA.

Honestly, my visit on 10/7/2025 for two crowns and a deep cleaning here in Long Beach, CA was fantastic. Dr. Kinh La-Pham and Brianna handled my crown work and were just super professional and gentle. They actually laughed at my jokes, which made me feel totally at ease since I'm a huge goofball. They really took their time to make sure everything was done right instead of rushing. Afterward, Brianna took care of me with such attention. Couldn't be happier with the cosmetic dentistry and dental hygiene services!

Had a great experience at this Long Beach dentist. The team was awesome—greeted with a smile right away. Ray and Sal were patient and explained my scheduled services clearly. When I didn't understand some things, they said the dental hygienist would go over it. Julia, the hygienist, was wonderful; she explained everything before starting and was super gentle. Check-in was easy at this Long Beach dental office, but after that, things went downhill. Got X-rays, waited, then moved to another room for polishing before my cleaning. The hygienist didn't floss or clean under my bridge. They wanted to take my blood pressure, but I said that's between me and my PCP—I just wanted my teeth cleaned. Ended up deciding to find a new dentist in CA for routine cleanings.

Avoid this place at all costs in Long Beach, CA. Had over $3,500 of work done and paid in full, but a month later, they added extra charges without explanation. Called multiple times with no callbacks. After three months, they sent it to collections. They misrepresented services, constantly upselling, and don't do same-day crowns as promised—had 5 appointments in 2 months. The lack of integrity with dental implants and other services is shocking.

My wife went in for a simple cleaning, unfortunately they only took ~10 x-rays and did not do a cleaning as my wife needed since the lady was not there. They told her she had to get a deep cleaning with laser because of a bacteria build, but when we checked with a family dentist, our family dentist told us all she needed was a simple cleaning with ultrasound. Further, we contacted them several times to schedule the simple cleaning and get our X-rays, but they do not respond. I believe this dentistry is only motivated to make money off their patients by exaggerating their issues to maximize profit.

The best dentistry I’ve ever been to, and I actually am not Stressed out because of fantastic staff! They are very friendly, listen to Any concerns you may have, and typically don’t have to wait very long to be attended to. If you’re looking for a Dentist, this is a place to go and the cost is reasonable as well!

The service was amazing at this Long Beach dentist. Briana was so sweet—talked me through everything and explained it all. My nervousness dropped from a 10 to a 2 in minutes because she really cares. Everyone is extremely nice and friendly. The doctors are great at explaining why treatment is needed with xrays and photos so i know I'm not being upsold and lied to. The front staff are so helpful in showing me my insurance coverage and working to help me get a payment plan going. Love it here!

Dr. Frank Duong and his entire staff are kind, professional, and incredibly gentle — and yes, having small hands really does make a difference! From my first appointment until now I have felt completely comfortable, welcomed and appreciated as a patient. I have had experiences previously where I felt the dentist and dental staff cared very little about my dental health and were instead trying to "sell" products or procedures that I didn't need so that insurance would pay.
Dr. Duong and his team have made me feel like a valued member of their community since the beginning. I have never felt that they're trying to sell me anything and they take the time to answer my questions and make me feel very appreciated. I highly recommend Bixby Knolls Modern Dentistry. In fact, I moved further away from the office and refuse to find another dentist in my new area, because I have so much trust in this office and their care. I will continue to sit in LA traffic just to keep coming here!

I have found a dentist that I am going to be coming on a regular basis!
The office is clean and inviting. Everything, from the furniture to the technology, is modern. In this technological world, it is great to see this dental office has embraced technology to improve patient experience and better streamline the registration process. From filling out medical history forms to signing documents, everything is done on a hand-held device and on digital signing pads. The front desk individuals (Karina and Tori) are pleasant and are efficient in checking me in.
The dental assistants are patient and personable! They take the time to know you as an individual while prepping you for the dentist. They are knowledgeable and make you feel at ease.
Dr. La-Pham has a sense of humor yet professional and passionate - He is thorough in his work and makes the dental experience painless and enjoyable. He made sure I
was comfortable and took great care and time in explaining ×-ray results and the procedures needed. During the procedure, he would stop to ask how I was feeling. Overall, I am very satisfied with my treatment plan.
I HIGHLY recommend this dental office to anyone who is in need of dentistry services. This dental office does have specialists; endodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons.
