She said she'd check with the doctor and call back, but that never happened. As someone who's immunocompromised, physically disabled with limited mobility (I use a cane), and has autism and ADHD, I fit exactly who they say they accept on their own site. But I was told I don't fit their mission statement—feels like discrimination and a real barrier to getting pediatric dentistry or any care here in Virginia.

Hands down, the best dentist and front desk service I've ever had in Roanoke! I was seeing Mrs. Natalie Powell—she's amazing, but she's leaving, so I'm going too. Just had my cleaning done today by a lady who's always done it after my surgery; can't recall her name, but she loves football and is EXCELLENT, my second favorite. I've been scared of dentists my whole life (I'm 48), then got oral cancer and had extreme surgery. Carilion Clinic Dental Care went above and beyond for my dental exams and cleanings. They took such good care of me with cleanings, fillings, and everything I needed. Couldn't be happier!

Don't even bother calling Carilion Clinic Dental Care in Roanoke, VA, even if the emergency room gives you no other options. I'm 33 weeks pregnant with three extreme abscesses that antibiotics won't touch, and the infection is spreading into my jaw. The ER told me to call them, but they turned me away instantly without a second thought. I've had sepsis before, and this is just scary. For oral surgery or any help in Virginia, they weren't there when I needed it most.

Giving a neutral review because I couldn't even get a referral through at Carilion Clinic Dental Care in Roanoke. The referral coordinator laughed at me repeatedly, even when I said I'd send over the appropriate documentation—she said, 'Oh that won't be necessary.' Their website says they accept people with developmental and physical disabilities. My disability causes mobility impairment, mouth changes, poor wound healing, and affects other organs. Another dentist in Virginia refused to work with me due to my disability, and I have autism too. Just really discouraging.

Folks are very nice but can't recommend them. The doctors don't follow up. They don't do what they say. It took 3 appointments to find a Cracked tooth and if you have pain they don't seem to care.

My experience at Carilion Clinic Dental Care in Roanoke has been great—I really appreciate all the professionalism shown during my visits. The entire staff is completely awesome! I'm a difficult case needing several departments to concur on my diagnosis, and thanks to them for the diligent care. My dentist, Dr. Buckwalter, gave the most care of any physician in my 66 years. After trying for over a year to get an appointment at Carilion Clinic Dental Care in Roanoke, VA, I finally got in after being hospitalized for dental abscesses that swelled my face badly. The ER sent me here to get two teeth pulled. Their new facility is so beautiful, the room was clean, and the staff was super kind. If i could minus a star I would. Worse appointment of my life. They made me feel like they were looking down there nose at me. I truly pray someone gives each one who was nasty there karma, and that someone makes them feel same way. And the dental work was shabby too i had to go back where she cut something wrong. Needed Dental clerance for Radiation. Dr. told me I needed all my teeth pulled to proceed with Radiation. After pulling them I asked for a letter stating they were remove for medical reasons and she refused. I got the impression it wasnt necessary for me to have pulled my teeth
Made me feel like it's a "chop shop" for getting teeth pulled and bill insurance. Then proceeded to tell me if I went anywhere else I needed her referral. Sorry Dr. I dont need your permission to never go there again.

Very friendly and professional service. State of the art equipment and great hygienist. I liked how they were respectful of my wishes to avoid the usual fluoride treatments (toxic!) without any argument at all unlike other places I have been.
Front desk receptionist that has been there for years is extremely rude and very very unprofessional. Also like every other review the consent forms are unbelievable!!! As a parent you feel obligated to initial the forms but I've always been able to go back with my kids and Dr. Jones has always been polite and good to my kids.
