Honestly, I don't usually write negative reviews, but I had to after what happened with my dental crown in Philadelphia. Dr. Mehta placed it, and right away something felt off—I mentioned it, but she said my teeth would adjust. Fast forward, I've moved and my new dentist was shocked at the placement issues, calling it a 'wide open distal margin.' Got a second opinion that confirmed it. Really disappointing experience with crown work here in PA.

My whole life, I've hated dentists—serious fear, mostly 'cause I never learned good dental hygiene. Always felt like a lost cause, and dental offices in Philly were so judgmental. But then I found Center City Dental! Dr. Song and her team are a dream for someone scared of dentists. Been going for about a year and a half now, started 'cause a crown fell out and I needed help fast. Never once felt looked down on. Actually getting excited about dental care now, which is wild!

Big fan of the receptionists at Center City Dental in Philadelphia, but check-ups with Dr. Song always feel rushed. Had a broken filling—second time one from here broke—and Dr. Song was mid-convo with her assistant while using a 'wiggle technique' for anesthesia. Afterwards, my left eye kept twitching even though the procedure was on my bottom right molar, and the anesthesia didn't wear off for like 8 hours. Dr. Song left after the anesthesia and had a dental student do the filling. Whole thing felt super rushed for a dental filling in PA.

Had such a great visit with Dr. Wendy Song and her assistant Jont'a at Center City Dental in Philadelphia! They were both amazing—super pleasant, caring, and friendly the whole time. Great experience with Dr. Song and her team at Center City Dental in Philadelphia. She set the tone by playing my choice of music and went through the procedure with no pain at all. All the staff is nice and personable, which made my teeth cleaning way better than expected. Highly recommend this place if you're in PA and need dental work—they really know how to make it comfortable!

I visited this place for an emergency using their $99 new patient promotion which included consultation, exam and x-rays (look at the screenshot from their website). They did NOT do any cleaning, just x-ray and exam.
I paid $99 after the visit and asked if everything is set and they said yes. A month later they sent me THIS $174 bill!!!

Been a patient at Center City Dental in Philadelphia since 2013, but the front desk staff really dropped the ball. Got a huge bill, called my insurance, and they said the claim wasn't coded right—multiple attempts to fix it were ignored. Wow, super incompetent! If I hadn't called, I'd be paying for their mistake. Not how you treat patients in PA, especially for dental services. No thank you!

This place in Philadelphia feels like a scam! Went in to get two tooth gems removed, and the guy said I needed an x-ray. Told him I just had one two days before from my usual dentist (who doesn't remove gems). Asked if they could get my records, but he said it'd take days and offered a 'free' x-ray so I wouldn't have to come back. Asked three times if I'd be charged—he said no. Did the x-ray, then someone else came in and said it'd cost... unbelievable experience with dental services in PA.

Back in June, I scheduled a deep cleaning at Center City Dental in Philadelphia, but the earliest slot was August. Was kinda disappointed at first, but the employees were so knowledgeable and welcoming that I decided to wait. Good thing I did—Melissa did an exceptional job during my deep cleaning in August, calming me down with her patient vibe. Missed my second appointment like a dummy and had to wait 'til December, but Melissa got me on the list. Really appreciate the care here in PA!

I normally do not write reviews however, I felt the need to do so after my last few encounters. I started going to this dentist because I have been having jaw, teeth, and mouth pain. I thought because they have updated equipment and services more than my previous dentist they would be able to help me but I haven’t had any help at all. I initially went and had a CBCT scan which I paid for out of pocket and they found nothing. After that I went to get a cleaning I was supposed to get a fluoride treatment or more treatments but I sat in that chair for an hour for a cleaning and then when I brought it up was told next time which never happened. Then I started having more pain in my back tooth specifically and I suspected I had a cavity. I went for an appointment and they confirmed I had a cavity but she refused to fill stating “ it’s small no point in drilling into otherwise health teeth”. Mind you this tooth was causing me pain then. They had no problem however , pushing and promoting for me to pay for a mouth guard which I still have to pick up. Then I called today because I knew I have an appointment coming up and my tooth with the cavity is really painful and making it hard to chew. I just spent the last few minutes being told by office staff that a cleaning isn’t an examination and I won’t see the dentist. Also, she can’t guarantee a dentist will fill my cavity that day or at all. This shows a lack of integrity and disregard for peoples time. This location is downtown and far from me. I don’t have time to keep returning until they decide to care. My pain is real and the cavity is real either give me something to help or fill the cavity. I have never had a dentist refuse work but push for buying more things that are probably useless. Now I have to either endure this mess or find another dentist on a short notice to do the work. This is the most unprofessional dental experience I have ever had. It’s ashamed because they have more updated equipment and atmosphere and the staff are friendly but they are not effective.

At first I was skeptical by how young everyone looked and how expensive everything sounded at first but after getting a tooth extracted here I feel so comfortable and relaxed. The Receptionist, Assistants and especially the Doctors know their roles and are the best I’ve seen. Dr. Mehta answered every question in an easy precise manner which made her answers very knowledgeable and understandable. The assistants will comfort you with their reliability and confidence in their knowledge, they always have the Doctors to verify answers just for confirmation. The receptionist is extremely helpful ! I will be getting an Implant and thanks to my insurance premium and the great receptionist I won’t have to come out of pocket as much which makes this experience even better. See you guys soon. I have been a patient at this dental office for over 20 years, and now my adult children go here as well! The office is always impeccably clean, professional, and equipped with the latest technology. The hygienists are thorough, and I’m particular about my cleanings, so I truly appreciate their attention to detail. Every hygienist is equally skilled and knowledgeable, which makes every visit smooth and consistent.
My dentist here is absolutely amazing. He has always been gentle and understanding, especially during times when I was nervous about a visit or procedure. His calm demeanor truly puts you at ease.
I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist. I regularly recommend them to friends and family—this place is simply the best!
I have been a patient of Dr. Turner's for over 10 years and there is no going back! He is fantastic. The addition of Dr. Song has been wonderful. She is incredibly thorough, explains everything and is super understanding when it comes to cost and figuring out what needs to get done sooner or what can wait until later (because going to the dentist can be pricey!). She also is so caring and gentle when it comes to big procedures when she helped me with my root canals, cavity and caps (I don't have the best teeth, sadly). I really appreciate her honesty, her knowledge and how dang funny she is. Is it weird to want to be friends with both your dentists?! Also 5 STARS to the front desk staff, they are amazing, so nice and work so hard! They have helped me solve so many questions I've had with my dental insurance, they have gotten me in when I've had dental emergencies and they are just super sweet and caring. Also big thank you to Dr. Turner and Dr. Wong's techs, they work their butts off and are always so busy, but still are all so sweet, super knowledgable and make you feel like they really care about you when you're in THE CHAIR :) Love Center City Dental and the whole staff!
I would leave a zero star review if I could, but whatever you do please find another place. The dentist is extremely young and advised me against having my chipped tooth filled because her previous procedures of fillings were unsuccessful in fixing the problem. The hygienist to clean teeth told me herself she wasn't qualified to give out any medical advice. They refused to help me, or even clean my mouth. All I wanted was a teeth cleaning, but they were so incompetent they could me they could not even do that. Wasted my time, money, and I can see why they have so many open slots to fill. PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Worst dentist I've ever seen.

Please be mindful and not get anything done at this place except for cleaning.
I was told I needed a crown as preventative measure to protect my teeth. I found myself with crowns implanted on adjacent teeth without my knowledge. Since the beginning I complained to the Dr. That I felt discomfort and pain on the entire left side of my mouth. I told that the crowns were too big compared to my original teeth and needed to be redone. My complained was never acknowledged or addressed. I asked several time to speak to the manager and they never cared to actually come and talk to me. I was never offered the possibility to get new crowns at their expenses since it was “all good for them”. I later discovered the crowns have been wrongly placed. I had to undergo surgery and I m still working towards solving this big mess that was “preventative” so I never really needed.
I have been in pained and emotional distressed since they implanted the crown. I was never addressed by the manager. I was never presented with the possibility to get those crown removed and have some news and more fitting to alleviate my pain placed on by them. The physical and emotional damage caused cannot be described in words.
Please do not get anything serious done at this place.
They will ruin your life and disregard your complain like you are trash.
Service was so so. not impressive. but environment is quite and clean. My hygienist was so great. But i absolutely didn’t like Dr.Wendy song. I am a physician also, but didn’t found her being so patient friendly tbh. I feel like she is always in a rush while doing procedure. Hope they improve in future.
