When I first went to the Center for Family and Implant Dentistry in Bluff City, I was actually on my way to Clear Choice but figured I'd check them out first. I told the front office girls I wanted someone to make me some pretty teeth, and they said Dr. MacConnell makes pretty teeth. I didn't know anything about him or Clear Choice at that point. I actually left for a while and came back later after finding out the closest Clear Choice was in Knoxville. With all my dental implant needs, I knew I'd be making a lot of trips, and I just didn't want to drive that far. So glad I came back!

Beware. They don't provide what you pay for and don't stand by warranties. Please, if you ever read a review, I pray this is the one. They act like you're family until you realize they screwed you out of thousands. When I asked them to fix something that wasn't even 5 months old, they escorted me to the back door and threatened to call the cops if I came back. Go across the bridge to that implant dentist—they stand by their work. You won't regret it.

This was definitely an experience that I would suggest being very well informed on before proceeding with. The Center for Family and Implant Dentistry did a good job overall, I just wish I hadn't been so shocked at the amount of excruciating pain I was in after having the surgery on top for implants. It was comparable to having an organ removed is what an actual doctor told me- afterwards. I was not prepared for it and I didnt feel like the extent of the seriousness or side effects from the surgery was well enough explained to me prior to having it done. The second thing I would say is that my first set of provisional (temporary teeth immediately following surgery) were less than appealing as far as the way they looked. They were literally yellow. Which i was told was a malfunction or mistake made.by the machine that produces them and there was nothing that could be done about it. So on top of a whole lot of pain which didnt subside for a solid week, I also had teeth that looked worse than my natural teeth and I was not happy to show people which weren't replaced for 3 months. That was corrected with my second set of provisionals, however. I just have to be honest in my initial feelings about this surgery and it was not all positive. I didnt feel like I had any say in what my teeth were going to look like and for 51k and the amount of pain I was in, I was not happy. I have been told that I will have an opinion and say-so in the design of my permanent teeth which I go in August to have attached to the implants (which I had done towards the end of February). We also were told I could not have the bottom surgery even scheduled until we paid the second half of the $51,0000 which was $25,500. Considering we had to pay the remainder in February and I wont even be done with the process until technically August, it was a little hard to swallow the somewhat attitude.we received when being told I couldn't even schedule the bottom surgery until we paid it when we had just given them $25,500 in cash. So, that's the whole truth about this surgery at this location. I will say though, the doctor and nurses are all friendly. I guess it was the process that was a little aggravating. Take from it what you will. Just be very informed of every detail before you hand anyone $51k. I dont feel like my teeth look like they cost that much but I hope to be included in the process of what my final, permanent set will look like and hope to be blown away by how much better they look and fit in my mouth! Will update my review when the process is complete.

I have went through the whole process of having my teeth removed and implants put in to retain my dentures. The process is very long taking about 1 1/2 years to complete but it was well worth it. Dr. McConnell is the best! He will treat you with respect and as an individual understanding what you are going through on personal level with the whole process doing his best to make you comfortable in the office and confident in the process giving you the best smile you can ever have.

This was a great place and staff is amazingly kind. However, I will tell u dnt miss your appointments because you will be booked way out every single time for 2 months at a time like do stay busy but other than that, it's a great place. And can't wait to get my teeth

I’m about halfway through my journey to a healthy and beautiful smile. It hasn’t been easy, but Dr MacConnell and his team have been wonderful. Anytime I have an issue they get me right in and have continuously kept me updated and informed during this process. I am very pleased with my experience so far.
