Excellent manners from everyone on staff especially Jamie. She was very kind and explained everything well to me. Definitely ask for assistant Jamie if you ever go here. Dr. Shi was quick to explain the procedure and seemed very confident. Everything went smoothly and best of all he didn't try and scam me out of money for unnecessary procedures.
I get super anxious about dental stuff, but Centre Dental in Manhattan made my experience way better. Met Dr. Huang first for cleaning and fillings in New York, NY—she was comforting and sweet, making sure I wasn't in pain. Had to get both wisdom teeth extracted, and the doctors and assistants informed and reassured me on every concern, keeping me relaxed. Dr. Shi was professional and nice, and the extraction took less than 5 minutes per tooth. Honestly, couldn't be happier!

The treatment was a great experience. I came for the first time doing the tenth cleaning. They also did an x-ray and examination. I found that I had some issues with my teeth. All of the dentists are really nice and gentle. I would definitely recommend here to whoever needs a dentist.
This location alleviates my dental phobia, and I would love to continue working with Dr. Huang and Dr. Shi, who are dentists with professional abilities and positive attitudes. My teeth, which I would consider to be in a horrible situation, were treated with care and compassion here. They gave me clear explanation and made sure that I got all information I know. Working on teeth is a sort of teamwork and I have to say I feel it went quite well here.
Also, people in the front desk are truly amazing. They are patient and caring who you are as a person. They helped me a lot with applying insurance and making appointments.
I had my four wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Shi. It was a very good experience and it didn't hurt at all. I really admire the professionalism of Dr.Shi. The staff here are very friendly and and the price is very reasonable. I would recommend centre dental to my friends.
I had an emergency visit for my infected tooth that caused my half face swelling. Dr Shi was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule and helped fixing my tooth on the spot. Dr Shi is professional, attentive and thorough! I trust his professional opinion as well as his skill. He saved my tooth!!! My pain and swelling were gone after I visited him. I have been going to Dr. Shi for 12 years, since he was in the tiny office further up the street. We no longer live a few blocks or a quick train ride away, but still continue to see him because he is a great dentist. He is very gentle and knowledgeable. i’ve been going to dr shi since before i can remember. recommended by my sister who has complicated teeth and only likes high quality everything. i’ve tried another dentist before but came right back because i just don’t believe there’s a better dentist in new york. highly skilled in procedures and i trust his overall professional opinion. aside from dr shi, his staff is also great! may is a very sweet receptionist who’s always welcoming. diana cleaned my teeth and it was one of the most gentle cleanings i’ve ever had.

I’ve been going to Dr. Shi for many years. Not only is he gentle and thorough, but he’s very informative. He takes the time to give me a full explanation to my questions. Now that I have young children, I take them to him even though we live pretty far from him. He is very accommodating and patient with them. I will gladly make the trip for a good dentist.
