Dr. Sims is super talented—he used numbing and laughing gas, and the whole thing was quick and easy. On day 2 of recovery now, and it's going smoothly. Honestly, if you need wisdom teeth removal in this area, I'd totally recommend them!

Can't say enough good things about this dental clinic in Ontario. I was really nervous, but Dr. Sims, Georgie, and Kira were so kind—they even gave me a weighted blanket and lavender oil to help me relax. Their dental work is top-notch, and the front desk folks are amazing too. Everything was done with care, and I felt no pain at all. My teeth look and feel great after the dental crowns they did!

Honestly, I was just looking for a dentist near me in Ontario, and Century Stone Dental popped up with all those great Google reviews. So glad I gave them a try! I have to go more often than most, but the team—front desk, hygienists, reconstruction folks, and Dr. Sims—always make it positive. I strongly advise against visiting this clinic, especially if you are a someone using the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). My experience here was both exhausting and costly.
Despite the CDCP covering my services, this office charged me 'extra' out-of-pocket co-pays at every single visit, totaling over $400. Even worse, they billed my insurance for my entire annual cleaning/scaling allowance but only completed half the work. They then quoted me nearly $500 out-of-pocket to finish the other half—a practice other local dentists confirmed is highly irregular.
Be very careful with what they ask you to sign. They constantly push iPads in your face to get quick signatures on financial consent forms. I now realize this is a tactic to 'cover' themselves so they can charge extra fees that should be covered by the plan. Since switching to a different dentist, I have found that no other professional office operates this way; you should only need to provide your medical history and insurance info—not sign away hundreds of dollars at every turn.
I am currently filing formal complaints with the RCDSO and Sun Life (CDCP) regarding these billing irregularities. If you want transparent care and want to protect your insurance benefits, go elsewhere.

What I can share is that the Canadian Dental Care Plan does not cover all services in all situations, and in some cases patient co-payments are required by the program itself. Whenever any out-of-pocket cost applies, our policy is to disclose this in advance and obtain informed financial consent before care.
That said, if anyone leaves feeling unclear or pressured, we take that feedback seriously. Consent should feel informed - never rushed - and your comments help us improve how we explain a complex system.

Wasn't planning to leave a review, but they asked after my last appointment. The staff at Century Stone Dental in Ontario are sweet and a pleasure to deal with. Over the last 4 years, though, the consistency and quality have dropped. Dr. Sims is great, but the hygienists and other dentists aren't consistent. Called in early 2025 about a possible broken filling, but they said it wasn't, adjusted the bite, and charged me since a different dentist worked on it. Frustrating for emergency dental service.

My baby was having difficulty latching to breast-feed after he was born. He wasn’t gaining weight and he would wail when I would try to breast-feed. After a few lactation consults we were told his tongue tie was the issue, and his breastfeeding wouldn’t improve unless we got it released. Our lactation consultant recommended Dr. Sims for a tongue tie release. We already had one booked at a different Dentist, but once we found out that they weren’t planning to release the tongue tie on the same day, we cancelled and booked an appointment with Dr. Sims. The team at Century Stone Dental was super helpful in explaining all of the issues related to a tongue tie. They were very thorough in the care that we would need to take for his post procedure, and they made sure we both were comfortable and doing a proper job with his tongue stretches before letting us go. We have been able to do multiple follow ups when we felt necessary to double check that everything was healing appropriately. Overall, we are very, very pleased with Dr. Sims and would absolutely recommend him for any family going through similar struggles.

I have a very very strong fear of the dentist and have ever since I was a child. Century Stone Dental, firstly, implements questions on its initial intake forms that ask your comfortability level and actually use your answers to dictate the appointment.
Dr. Sims took the time to sit with me, and explain everything that I needed to do for my best health outcomes and didn’t in a way that was so kind and so supportive, and also manageable. Both Dr. Sims and each tech that I have dealt with have also recognized my anxiety and made things so comfortable and easy (and that, especially for me, is saying so much!). I never thought I would say that I had a positive, pleasant experience having dental care, but I truly did with Century Stone, and their entire team.

Our son required a tongue and lip tie release and we went to Dr. Sims based on recommendations from midwives and the BANA clinic at St. Joseph’s hospital. We had a wonderful experience with the staff. They were friendly and very thoroughly assessed both my son and I. They took the time to ensure that all questions were answered and clearly demonstrated the exercises and stretches. Manual therapy was recommended to have a complete and holistic approach to his healing. Dr. Sims followed up a few days after to check and see how our son was healing and we were able to come back in at any time for complimentary follow up appointments to ensure that everything was healing properly.
Overall, we had an amazing experience with Dr. Sims and his staff. I would absolutely recommend Century Dental for tongue and lip tie releases.

Wow! What an absolutely amazing experience. Both Dr. Sims and his staff (specifically Lauren) made the entire process from start to end, seamless. It's not easy dealing with the challenges of a tongue tie but having the right education and support from Dr. Sims and his team has traded our anxiety for confidence and comfort. Not only did they thoroughly explain the process and procedure itself but they did it with patience, kindness and compassion. I cannot recommend Century Stone enough! We are already seeing improvements and working through the recovery alongside Dr. Sims has been promising for our little guys future. The biggest two things that stood out to my husband and I were 1. They provided us with a private space to comfort and feed baby after the procedure with a personal bathroom, pregnancy pillow and a lock on the door. This truly helped us feel right at home. 2. Dr. Sims personally msged us multiple times to genuinely follow up and check in on us and our son prior to our two week follow up appointment. Such a personalized experience! I had a wonderful experience at Century Stone Dental with Dr. Sims and the entire team. From the moment I arrived, I felt very well cared for. The staff were kind, professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit.
