I don't usually leave reviews, but this needs to be said. The hygienist here is great—always kind and professional. However, my experience with Dr. Yan during a filling was awful. The instruments didn't fit right and made it hard to breathe and swallow. Instead of adjusting for my comfort, he basically said he couldn't treat me because of the tools, but continued anyway. His tone was condescending too. Really disappointing.

Writing this for a friend who had a rough experience here. They went for a filling and planned to start braces, but after the procedure with Dr. Nima, they changed their mind. They said they weren't fully numb and felt discomfort, but the doctor continued anyway. They felt unheard and his attitude came off as rude and dismissive. Really disappointing.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I've seen Dr. Shayesteh for overlays and extractions, and each visit impresses me more. I had two biomimetic overlays for severely broken teeth—he saved me from root canals! The overlays look completely natural. He's incredibly thorough and takes his time for perfection. Dr. Shayesteh and his team are best in class. Came here on a coworker's referral for clear braces treatment and it's been great. When my original plan needed tweaks, they worked quickly with Clear Correct to revise it at no extra cost. They even fed my parking meter when the machine wouldn't take cards! While they do incredible dental work (the best I’ve ever had), I have decided to seek out a new dentist strictly because of Yan, the office manager and person at the front desk. He is unprofessional, frequently yells at patients and speaks down to them. He recently changed their insurance billing process, didn’t clearly communicate it to us before my husband’s visit and then had the audacity to charge a cancellation fee after my husband took the day off work as a private contractor to have work done today. While we LOVE Dr. Nema and his work, dealing with Yan is unbearable and unfortunately has made me decide to seek care elsewhere. While I am very torn about leaving a bad public review for a small business that I have supported for years and don’t wish to do any harm to Dr. Nema, him making the choice to allow Yan to treat supportive patients this way is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed.
I highly recommend Dr. Shayesteh and his team! The entire staff is incredibly patient, kind, and thorough. I truly feel like they take the time to explain everything going on with my teeth and why certain treatments are being recommended, which really helps me feel informed and confident in my care.
They’re also great about following up, confirming appointments, and keeping me updated on insurance coverage and payments. During visits, Dr. Shayesteh always takes his time and does a seamless job - I never feel rushed, and I always feel comfortable asking questions and getting honest, thoughtful answers.
Tatsiana is a truly incredible hygienist - the best I've ever had, by far! So thoughtful and friendly, but also gentle, detailed, and diligent in her work. It is a gift to be her patient!!!

I hadn't been to the dentist in years, and I came in for a deep cleaning. The hygenist (I can't remember her name unfortunately) did an amazing job, and she had fantastic bedside manner. Dr. Shayesteh was also very friendly and easy to talk to. After doing my exam he did a great job explaining the options that are available for dealing with the few issues that I have - especially with my jaw hinge which every other dentist I've ever been to has completely ignored. So yeah, A+ experience all around. Am glad to have found my new go-to dentist.

An amazing doctor who always strives for perfection. I went to a few doctors and they wanted to take a tooth out because an old root canal had gone bad. Dr. Shayesteh is Los Angeles’s hidden dental gem. I am glad I got to find this office. This is really Los Angeles best kept secret. I have never been to such a luxurious dental office that is calm,serene, and clean. However, it doesn’t end there. This was the first time in my life I actually knew what was going on with my teeth. Dr. Nima went through every tooth x ray and gave me his undivided attention to explain what each x ray meant. What needed to be done and what he thought about the next step he can take. I never had such an appreciation for dentistry. I cannot recommend this place enough. His radical philosophy “save the tooth at all costs” has saved my teeth. There is no better dentist in Los Angeles. He is worth every penny.
