Under new ownership, Dental Cosmetic Spa is now led by Dr. Ibelys Subirats, as Dr. Alvarez is no longer there. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Subirats was deeply disappointing. She came across as rude, condescending, and lacking in empathy—made for an unpleasant dental visit. This practice was once a gem, but I won't be returning.

Today I came in for my periodic dental cleaning and check-up. Desire, the hygienist, did an amazing job—my teeth came out white and shiny, and my self-esteem got a boost. Dr. Subirats is excellent, and the whole staff is great. The receptionist is sweet and kind. The office is in a nice spot in Coral Gables where you can grab a bite after your visit. I love the attention in this office. I seldom stay with a dentist office for long because, although most are nice, I am a nervous wreck due to history and dental issues. This office has the kindest and most patient staff/doctors. They always treat me with respect, take their time, explain everything, and most important to me, they offer solutions to my stress/anxiety ie blankets, head phones, water. Honestly, just acknowledging my feelings goes a long way. I never have to chase them for appointments or answers, and the doctors are very gentle (the hygienists as well, obviously). I’ve been with them for 6 months now, 2 cleanings and some cavity fillings later and I don’t plan on changing dentist any time soon!
I've been coming here for a few years now and they're great. The place is spotless from the entrance to the back. It's on a strip of shops and restaurants in Coral Gables, so parking is by meter using the pay by phone app. Front desk staff is super courteous and accommodating, and they take most insurances. The hygienist did an awesome job with my teeth cleaning, and the doctor took her time explaining everything. They have a little stand with water, coffee, and tea, and the waiting area faces the open court with a big glass window. Really nice vibe.

Front desk receptionist Brenda was cordial and professional, and after my cleaning she sat with me to explain my bill and insurance coverage—really rare these days. If you're scared of the dentist or haven't been in a while, this is the place. The office has a relaxed vibe and friendly staff. Dr. Alvarez was great too.

This dental office checks all the boxes for me: clean, friendly, timely, efficient, and transparent. They are family owned and do a great job of getting you in & out but also taking the time to ask how you are and let you know it was good to see you. Dr. Gutierrez extracted all 4 of my wisdom teeth in one sitting and did a phenomenal job of making it a comfortable experience for me. Otherwise, I go every 6 months for routine cleanings and the staff is wonderful. Thank you DCS!
Wonderful experience. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The dental office and exam rooms are very clean. The clinic runs very efficiently and always on time. The doctor was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The doctor did not rush and spent an ample amount of time with me. I was very happy with my treatment and have been back to the clinic several times. I highly recommend this office for all of your dental needs. I will be a long time patient!

Dental Cosmetic Spa is like no other dentistry office. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you have amazing attention, service, etc. Dr. Alvarez is the nicest Doctor you will ever find, she explains everything to detail, gives her recommendation plus she'll tell you what she would do if she's in your shoes. Mirtha is amazing, super friendly and caring and does amazing work! The receptionist are incredible, amazing welcoming and people's skills are great. I've never been afraid to go to the dentist but if some is afraid to they should give a try in Dental Cosmetic Spa ! This people are amazing ! Starting with Sharon, she is the administrative assistant and she is fabulous, so kind and funny. The hygienist Maria is amazing too, she did a deep dental cleaning to me and I felt great ! And Dr. Carlos is awesome too, you don't feel anything, anything hurts and you are perfect the next day. Plus they have a friendly schedule, so is perfect if you work until late. I'm super happy with this place I live 1 hour away from them and I still love them hahaha.
I have been in to see Dr. Alvarez several times over the past few months, and each visit has been a wonderful experience, with both her and the staff. Each visit was met with little, to no wait time. Everyone is professional, prompt, and courteous. In addition, I had an extraction with Dr. Gutierrez, that went extremely well. The office is incredibly clean, and up-to-date. And, most importantly, the dental work itself is fantastic. My many visits with Dr. Alvarez have demonstrated she is a true professional that cares for her patients and the practice, and this clearly shows in the details.
