I don't leave reviews often, but this experience in Naperville, IL was extremely negative. Chose this dentist after moving to the suburbs for convenience—I live just 2 minutes away. After a routine cleaning, I needed a filling. It was rough: took three rounds of numbing injections before they could proceed, leaving half my face numb. Not what I expected from an emergency dental service in the area.

Our whole family goes here and everyone has been so wonderful. Two year old has started to brush teeth more and for the adults in the family everyone has been very thorough, communicative, and punctual. I don’t feel rushed and feel very informed!

Edit: I am updating my review from 5 stars to 1 after a visit with another dentist. My reasoning will be explained below.
TLDR: Dr. Wells recommended a very aggressive treatment plan for my cavities, including a crown on a tooth I had gotten a filling in three months ago. I revisited my original dentist, who my family has been with for my entire life, for a second opinion. She disagreed with 11 of his 13 filling recommendations, additionally stating that she would not even touch the tooth Dr. Wells said needed a crown.
Additional explanation:
My family switched to Living Well Dental Group after wanting to find a dentist who was closer to home and also took our new insurance. They are the third practice we've tried since leaving our original dentist.
Previous to this cleaning with Living Well, I have only ever had three fillings, two within the last nine months. Six months ago, the dentist proceeding Dr. Wells had filled what needed to be filled and told me they wanted to monitor a couple others - but that work did not need to be done at this point in time.
Dr. Wells recommended that I get the crown and six fillings done before I left for college, which would be in just under a month. When I asked him how long I could hold off on getting work done, he only told me it needed to be finished as soon as possible to not risk further decay. I do not have any pain or sensitivity in my teeth.
Like mentioned above, I then went back to my original dentist for a second opinion and she disagreed with nearly 80% of Dr. Wells' plan. She also said most of what Dr. Wells had concluded were cavities were only staining.
Those are the facts of the situation and you may come to your own conclusions. The staff were professional and the facility was lovely, but I will not be returning for another visit.
