THE BEST DENTIST EVER. Both of my children had a fairly traumatic experience at previous dentists, but the way Dr. Waxman approaches the kids, and how her hygienists are trained is second to none. They engaged both of my children in a friendly manner, making them feel relaxed and calm while getting cleanings or cavity fills. They understand the importance of the dentist and no longer have any anxiety when I tell them their appointments are coming up. They keep asking when they can go back to see Dr. Waxman. I am so thankful we found her practice after going to see 2 other pediatric dentists.
The office staff were amazing as well as Dr. Amy. They all took time to care and explain everything to me and my son. Office is extremely clean and kid friendly.

They do cute things like painting nails and drawing pictures with pink fluoride during fluoride treatment. The prize wall is super cute too. The facility is beautiful and welcoming. Best dentist I've been to so far. My child had fun with Dr. Amy and Dr. Lisa during her first dental visit—they made her so comfortable. My daughter was so happy and comfortable during her first visit. Doctor Amy and the staff is very kind and helpful. But I wish it was a nice experience too because it’s been almost 2 months my daughter teeth still bleed after getting those crowns.. we don’t have any insurance and they’re so expensive.
We went to see this doctor for my child’s annual checkup. Her office and her staff were very compassionate and nice, but the doctor herself Dr. Amy Waxman was very rude only because we didn’t want to do X-rays in this visit. She was visibly upset and said things like I will not let the patient dictate to me whether they want to do an x-ray or not, all we said was that we will speak to our pediatrician and come back to do the x-rays in our next check up because my child does not have any problems so we wanted to delay her exposure to radiation as much as possible. She was offended and wanted to speak to the doctor herself. She also told us we need to find a new practice if we don’t do x-rays, she said don’t come back to this facility if your daughter has any problems suddenly one day with the pain. Dr. Amy Waxman is rude and misbehaved with me just because I said no to X-rays in this visit. She humiliated me during my first visit started questioning if my child watches tv or mobile phone sadly she doesn’t watch any of it. She was upset that she could make me agree to do an Xray. Rude and misbehaving doctor. Never recommend this place to anyone. Don’t go by ratings as they are fake. Rude doctor can’t take no for an answer
We are sorry that you felt this way. We follow guidelines set forth by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry on frequency of xrays. We want to provide the best care possible for our patients and that involves taking xrays by certain ages to assess a child's growth and development and to check for possible cavities. We often find anomalies such as missing teeth, extra teeth, and cavities starting in between the teeth that could never be seen with the naked eye. We also like to make sure our parents are properly informed on the safety of digital xrays since there can be misinformation on the internet. Our goal is to educate the parent on how minimal radiation is from digital dental xrays and to avoid potential pain and infection in your child down the line, which can be much more detrimental to their overall health and well being. We certainly do not take them every visit nor are they forced upon patients. We wish you the best of luck in finding a practice that meets your needs.
Dr. Amy and her staff are amazing! They are all very attentive, informative and the appointments are pretty fast every time. I highly recommend her office as they are wonderful with the kiddies. My daughter loves going to her appointments!
They are the greatest here! The office itself is a fun, kid friendly atmosphere and the staff are so sweet. They interacted with my toddler and included her in the cleaning and explained everything as they went along. Dr Amy is also great!
My son liked the visit. All of the staff were nice and friendly. Dr.Amy and her assistant were amazing! They explained everything to my son thoroughly and the way they interacted with him was great. They weren't pushy , they respected our decision on certain topics we discussed.
I called the office after 3pm and they were able to fit my son in for a 5:30 apt, as a new patient. My ten year old son was really nervous about seeing the dentist, and the team at Dentistry for Kids was wonderful with him. They had so much patience and they were very understanding and kind, and they answered all his questions. Dr. Waxman has a gentle manner, and she answered all our questions, and explained everything clearly, and her office team is outstanding. I highly recommend this dental office/team, especially if your kids are nervous or concerned about seeing the dentist.
Melissa and Dr. Amy were excellent in getting the job done while I had to basically hold my nervous kids down!! Melissa knew exactly what position to hold them in that would be best for me and for them. The kids were difficult during the cleaning but afterwards were very proud of themselves and excited about their prizes!! The office felt safe and clean and everyone wore masks. Beyond thrilled that we came here!! Thank you all for the positive experience!!
We've been going here for a few years now as my daughter is almost 3, and we've seen Dr. Amy so far for all of our visits and she's great. She takes the time to answer questions and is great with my little girl. The dental hygienists are amazing! They have the greatest bedside manner, explain everything in a fun way, and make sure that my child is comfortable and feels secure. I can't say enough great things about them and would recommend them to anyone. The wait time is minimal, and the reception area has toys and movies, and a fish tank that my daughter just loves. 5 stars all around :)
