Save yourself trouble and pain—do not go here. They are extremely pushy when they know you have good insurance and not very experienced. My wife's implant was a total nightmare. The orthodontist didn't do it correctly, causing the implant to come out and get infected. Now he needs to add more bone graft and redo the procedure. They didn't even offer sedation or gas on them. They only care about money. Avoid.

Dr Richard C Evangelista at Designing Smiles at Mission Hills performed a root canal on me and broke off two dental files without telling me. When my new dentist took x-rays he found the broken files and an infection. When I contacted Dr Richard C Evangelista about it, he said root canals are not guaranteed, so he won't fix it. Now I am faced with a tooth extraction, and implant at my cost due to his negulance, and a lawsuit. Sad thing is I started going to this dental office in 1987, but not anymore because of Dr Richard C Evangelista's constant up selling, lack of empathy, and his refusal to stand behind his work.

I really hate the dentist and get super nervous, but I found Designing Smiles on Groupon. My best friend's mom recommended them. They took me even though I was 40 minutes late due to traffic, gave me a thorough cleaning, and offered a discount on a deep cleaning I need. It's an hour drive from my place, but totally worth it because I didn't feel like crying after. Highly recommend!

I unfortunately had a bad experience at this dentist, the x-ray equipment they use was very out of date and was painful to endure. My fillings took a very long time to grind down due to them not being able to find a sharp bit at the office. The lighting overhead during my procedure was covered in filth and my seat was broken and was falling to the right side. I would recommend everyone to look for a higher rated dentist in the area.
Great warm feeling dentist office. Everyone from front to back is super friendly, gentle, and understanding. They offer support and resources if your dental needs can't be met at the appointment. Back office staff takes their time with procedures. Overall an amazing experience with a calm atmosphere. Very thankful for great dentistry.

It was a 6-month cleaning appointment and the doctor's office called to confirm a few days before which was nice of them. The visit itself was professionally handled. The doctor on duty took my concerns seriously and followed up with a quick x-ray to rule out any problems. Overall, I would say this was an uneventful trip to the dentist which is always welcomed.

I was looking for a new dentist, and decided to give them a try. You'd think they'd want to make a good impression on a new patient right? Pro tip: if you want to make a good impression, don't put someone in a dental chair that's so broken the footrest is literally sideways, don't use an X-ray machine that's held together with TAPE, and don't use a cracked and broken light for your exam! The place is falling apart. If that's how they care for their equipment, how are they going to care for your teeth?
I let them do the X-rays, exam, and cleaning (had I noticed the tape on the X-ray machine beforehand, I might not have agreed), but by the time they were starting to discuss treatment, I was too sketched out, and decided to go somewhere else. Now they want to charge $50 for my records. I know they're allowed to charge a "reasonable" fee for providing copies of records, but seriously, this is from one visit, and everything's digital. It doesn't take $50 worth of work to copy a couple of files into an email.
Maybe they were a good practice back in the day and built up loyal customers that way, but considering the condition of the office, I have to wonder how many decades ago that was.

My appointment is to inquire whether I am good candidate for dental implant. I was seen by a South Asian General Dentist without any people skills. The first question she asked me is what do you want me to do with her dentures,. No history taking was done, she did not asked me for how long I am a denture wearer, she did not even discuss with me what is the best treatment option for my situation , so in short she just talked to me in less than 5 minutes and asked her dental assistant to schedule me with the surgeon.
So the reason for my visit was not address properly she was explaining which one is expensive .and which one is cheaper even if I am not asking for the cost.
My suggestion is for that dentist to a attend a course on people skills.
Stay away from this place, they will over charge you and the dentist will try and say you need work done in order to charge you even when your teeth are good as you were seen the hygienist a few months before and the teeth were fine. The one dentist is rough and when she cleans your teeth they don't feel clean.
I had Invisaligns put on and at the time I was told that my retainer would be included, when it was time to fit me for the retainer they were giving me prices of 1200.00 or 500.00 and when I told them that I was told it was included they asked to see it in writing, like I would make this up.
They bill you for things that weren't done and what you have paid in advance. The staff keeps changing although the front office staff are very nice and helpful, except the billing clerk.
If your smart you will find another dentist to go to. Beware!
My daughter got her braces here & overall has been a stressful journey. With the inconsistency of
changing orthodontic doctors throughout her whole treatment as well of the front desk receptionist . I was really upset having to pay $400 for a retainer that was quoted to me in the price that I paid. When I asked if I can at least brake the payment up because I wasn’t ready to pay it all up front I was told no. One of the new girls was very rude And honestly I didn’t have the energy to argue. I don’t think it’s good costumer service to not honor your patients word after all with so many changes I feel like that’s the least they can do.
Trust is the single most important aspect I look for in any vendor I do business with, especially so for a healthcare vendor.
If you are a new patient who is there just to get your insurance-allowed regular cleaning, expect them to acknowledge what you are there for and still proceed to do all kinds of tests and measurements to give you a laundry list of procedures costing 1000s of dollars.
If you choose to be a normal human being and not make a hasty, rushed, on-the-spot decision regarding the 1000s of $ in spend, expect that they will walk you out without any cleaning at all. It appears that a regular cleaning isn't worth their time compared to the 1000s of $ worth of other procedures they could be doing on other patients.
Most of the work were not even required. My personal recommendation: they can’t be trusted - avoid this place unless you want to waste time, money and risk your health.
If the overall rating looks good, sort the reviews here to see reviews over the last 6 months - the theme of my complaint repeats consistently. And the few positive ones appear to say very little (I.e. they are mostly fake).
My wife and I had a horrible experience. We were told we had to get a mandatory deep cleaning for routine maintenance, costing $1100 each over 2 days. We had no issues, no cavities, but they said either deep cleaning or no cleaning at all. Dr. Lee handled our case. I researched and found her previous practice near Pleasanton is now closed, with very negative reviews.

I have been going these since almost a year now. Looks like they are in the business for a very long time. They understand every aspect of dental health and hygiene. The staff is super friendly. They definitely make me super comfortable by explaining everything they are doing with my teeth. They are always available to answer my teeth related questions.
