Honestly, taking our 4-year-old in for IV sedation dentistry in St. Charles was nerve-wracking, but DPD Smiles made it so much easier. She needed 4 crowns and some cavities fixed, and everyone from reception to Dr. Joshi was just incredibly kind and thorough—they explained every detail. I really liked that they handled payment upfront so we didn't have to worry on the day. My daughter left feeling better and loves her 'shiny teeth' now! Big thanks to them and the anesthesia group for handling a tough situation so well.

My son had an exam at DPD Smiles in St. Charles on May 14, 2023. Today, November 22, 2025, I got a 'final' notice for billing saying I'd be sent to collections—this was actually the first notice I ever received, over 2.5 years later. No letters, emails, or calls before this. Claiming you've sent reminders when you haven't and calling it a final notice after so long isn't good business practice for emergency dental care or any service.

DPD Smiles is the best dentist office for kids in St. Charles. My son actually likes coming here—they have TVs or iPads for them to watch during cleanings or cavity fillings. I really like that they use laughing gas instead of shots, and the X-rays are easy to do. Would definitely recommend this place for pediatric dental care and orthodontics for all kids around here.

It was okay, but not quite what I expected for a kids' dental office in St. Charles. No toys, just a TV, and some staff seemed warm while others were kinda apathetic. My kids were fine with their experience, but it felt unwelcoming when my daughter asked if her toddler brother could have a sticker and the doctor said only one per person—they have tons out, so why put them all there? Odd, but alright. Probably a 2.5-star experience overall, rounded to 3.

Brought all four of my kids to DPD Smiles in St. Charles for their checkups, and the team managed to see them all at once—smoothly and calmly. The waiting area kept them entertained, and each child got the attention they needed without us being there all afternoon. Staff is warm, patient, and so good with kids (even my shy one felt comfortable right away). We left with clean teeth, no tears, and big smiles all around after our pediatric dental cleanings. My boys have been seeing Dr. Joshi for over 7 years and we absolutely LOVE DPD Smiles. Pediatrics dentists are hard to find. I went to another one and had a horrible experience. So, she was a referral from a friend and I’m so happy I went with her recommendation! 10/10 :)
Such a great experience for all three of my children who are 6, 8, 10. My middle was pretty anxious and the hygienist was so incredibly patient and kind to her. She gave her options for a "pasteless" cleaning bc she is so sensitive to textures. The dentist was thorough and kind. The reception staff are so friendly and I always appreciate the steps they take to mitigate germs. We love DPD!
Had a really great experience bringing my child here for a cavity consult. The dentist and assistants were great with my kid, extremely kind and helpful. They explained everything thoroughly. I will likely be switching my kid to DPD Smiles as their primary dentist.
Don’t use anesthesiology services from this dental office. The place they use doesn’t accept any private health insurance and is based in Florida. You also will be charged a booking fee that isn’t refundable yet they don’t tell you that either. Will be reporting them to the better business bureau.
I took my 2 year old daughter here for the second time, first time went well, but after this visit we will be finding another dentist. My daughter became extremely overwhelmed and anxious while there. She started panicking and screaming. Instead of the dentist working with her or explaining what was going to happen she became annoyed. The dentist directly told my 2 year old daughter "you are making this harder then it needs to be" multiple times. She told her to "just lay down" and "don't be difficult". When I finally got my daughter to lay down the dentist told me "hold her, hold her, hold her" (meaning hold her down). When I refused the dentist was annoyed with me. No alternative solutions were given until she allowed my daughter to sit on my lap to apply fluoride. Instead of explaining what she was going to do she told my daughter "just open your mouth for 2 seconds now". I left the office in tears because of the way my daughter was treated and how upset she was with no help from the dentist. We chose a pediatric dentist for their expertise with children, but they did not show that.
I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Joshi and the staff. My kids are treated with respect and kindness-whether it’s for a checkup or procedure! Everything is always done quickly, efficiently and thoroughly, Highly recommend!
Had the most wonderful experience at DPD Smiles' St. Charles office. My daughter was really anxious about her appointment, but her hygienist was so kind—explained everything before starting and even let her try the tools first. The therapy dogs helped her relax too! My boys also had a great time. Kind staff, a doctor who covered all details... definitely recommend them for pediatric dental care in the area. Can't wait for our next visits!

This is by far the WORST dental office to go to. I sent hours tracking and verifying expenses I was charged for. They billed me and my insurance for services we never received. They are run, un professional and money hungry. They tried to charge me a finance charge and I never financed anything and this was after I was told my bill was paid in full. I was sent 6 different invoices for the same day of service with different amounts on each, and they couldn't explain why they charged for some of the services never received. It took me to go over my itemized invoice with Dr. Joshi on the phone to get the billing and charges correct and even then they were still wrong! Save yourself the headache and find another pediatric dentist. This ISNT IT!
Dr Joshi was very confident and very knowledgeable on my son’s lip and tounge tie he is not even 14 days old and She was willing to fix my issue so I could breast feed my son and provided me with personal and valuable information. The office is quick and easy and in and out. She’s just brutally honest and blunt and I love that about her. I would definitely recommend this place and they were able to get me in quickly and accommodated me and my needs. She also addressed any questions and got right to work. I’ll be bringing my son and daughter here for further dental care. Thanks again doc! I’m one happy momma
We brought our daughter for her first dentist appointment to DPD Smiles and we had a great experience. They really cater to kids and have fun pictures on the wall, emotional support dogs, weighted blankets, and a tv where necessary. The hygienist, dentist, and receptionist were very friendly and supportive when my daughter was a little nervous. Highly recommend for kids!
