I wish I could give them no stars. When my son has his tooth removed, it was only me and the dentist in there, I’m not even sure that’s legal. Also, the amount of how horrific The Who scenario was, I believable. The amount of blood and her pulling him out of the chair by tooth. Horrible. After my son and I sat on the floor in tears and covered in blood. 0 personality when it comes down to the actual nitty gritty. I wouldn’t send a corpse here for dental.

My 4 year old son was seen here and a plan was constructed to minimize his propensity to develop cavities in the deep pockets of his molars. After being talked into the premier upgraded treatments and fees associated, my son developed 4 cavities where the sealant was supposed to have been placed in less than a year. Another DDS told me off the record that the sealant was improperly and inadequatly applied, hence the cavities in relationship to their locations where resin was supposed to be placed. Disappointed to say the least.

I had a great experience at DPD Smiles. As someone who is very afraid of the dentist, I truly appreciated Dr. Joshi’s approach. In the past, I’ve had dental work redone unnecessarily, but she respected my preference for conservative treatment and only recommended fillings for teeth that genuinely needed it. She also took the time to educate me, explaining that not all early-stage cavities require immediate filling and that good oral hygiene can sometimes help reverse them. One of my favorite parts of the visit was the use of the laser—completely worth it to avoid getting numbed with a needle. I usually dread both the injection and the numb feeling afterward, so this made a huge difference for me. On top of that, she worked quickly and efficiently, which helped ease my anxiety even more. Highly recommend, especially if you’re nervous about dental visits!

Honestly, DPD Smiles in Wheaton, IL really saved the day when my 1.5-year-old daughter fell and hurt her tooth. They squeezed us in for emergency dental care even though they were fully booked, which was such a relief. Had a pretty disappointing experience with this Wheaton dental office. Two days before my appointment, I called to confirm if my insurance was in-network and ask about the consultation cost. They said I was in-network but couldn't give an exact coverage amount, just that insurance 'typically covers 80%.' The next day, I called again for a clear estimate before coming in. The staff member got kind of rude, repeating that 80% thing and estimating I'd owe $52. Since I know my insurance should cover 100%, I thought about canceling right then.
