Dr. Ost at Dr. Dental in Edison was really nice, fast, and polite during my visit. The whole office had a comfortable, friendly vibe which made me feel at ease. The receptionist was especially patient with me when I messed up some of the forms a little bit. It's great to find a cosmetic dentist in Edison who makes the experience so pleasant from start to finish.
Thanks for sharing your experience at Dr. Dental in Edison! We're glad Dr. Ost and our team made your cosmetic dentistry visit comfortable. We appreciate you noticing our receptionist's patience too. Hope to see you again soon!
I have been a patient at the Edison office for many years and the service is excellent. Thank you.
Unfortunately, I came to Dr. Dental in Edison with a hole in my tooth and left with the same hole. Nothing got done except a routine cleaning, which I wasn't even there for. They said it was because my insurance hadn't faxed over the information they requested. No other recommendations were made - just to reschedule another day and hope they get my insurance info then. Pretty frustrating experience with dental crowns or any dental work here in Edison.
We're sorry for the frustrating experience at Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. We understand how disappointing it is when insurance delays dental crowns or other needed work. We're working to streamline our insurance verification process. Please contact us to reschedule when convenient.
As someone who'd never been to the dentist before, Dr. Dental in Edison has completely scarred me and made dental work seem like a nightmare. At my first visit for what I thought was just a dental check-up, a doctor who never introduced himself asked "what are you here for?" I said a cleaning, and he immediately told me I had a massive cavity that needed removal. He didn't give any post-care advice or tell me about the rest of my teeth - just focused on that cavity. When I came back for my second appointment in Edison and mentioned the lack of introduction, the whole experience just confirmed my fears about emergency dental services here.
We're sorry to hear about your experience at Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. We understand how important clear communication is, especially for emergency dental services and first-time patients. We're reviewing our patient intake process to ensure proper introductions and thorough explanations. Please contact us so we can address your concerns.
I love the doctor at Dr. Dental in Edison! She was wearing a scarf during my treatment and kept asking me if I was okay throughout the whole procedure. It made me feel really comfortable and cared for. I'd definitely recommend her for dental implants or any dental work in Edison - she's wonderful!
Thanks for the recommendation! We're glad our doctor in Edison made you feel comfortable during your dental implants procedure. We appreciate you sharing your positive experience at Dr. Dental!
Very nice and clean and very soft staff, really very happy with work done by Dr. Tyseer Ahmed
My son had a 2pm new patient appointment at Dr. Dental in Edison. He'd already filled out all his paperwork ahead of time. About three hours before, they called asking if he could come earlier or later. I said he'd try to come earlier and they said okay. He got there at 1:32pm, they asked about the paperwork, he said yes he submitted it, but they couldn't find it so he had to fill it all out again. By 2:15pm, his appointment time had come and gone. We asked the receptionist when he'd be seen, she said she'd check, then just disappeared. Not a great start for pediatric dental care in Edison.
We apologize for the scheduling issues you experienced with your son's new patient appointment at Dr. Dental in Edison. We're reviewing our pediatric dental care intake process to prevent paperwork mix-ups and ensure timely appointments. Please reach out to us so we can make this right.
Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ is a complete scam in my experience. Maybe not the actual dentists working there, but the whole organization is a huge red flag. We paid our invoice in full, but they keep sending us more bills saying we still owe money. They've even sent invoices from other Dr. Dental locations we've never even visited! On top of that, every time we go to the Edison office, there's always new front desk staff who are rude and obnoxious. The whole billing situation with this dental clinic feels completely unethical. I'd recommend finding somewhere else for family dentistry in the Edison area.
We're concerned to hear about your billing experience at Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. We take these matters seriously and will investigate the invoice issues you mentioned. For family dentistry services, we aim to provide clear communication. Please contact our billing department directly so we can resolve this.
Dr. Dental in Edison makes it super quick to get appointments and be seen. The whole staff was really nice and thorough during my visit! I'd definitely recommend them to friends and family looking for a dentist in the Edison area. They made the whole process easy and efficient.

Way too long of a wait, they do not give accurate wait time I was told 5 more min and it has been way over 20min and I haven’t get attend yet, about an hour of waiting time already, please improve your time management!
The staff at Dr. Dental in Edison is absolutely amazing! The front desk woman was always so kind with a smile on her face, and the dental assistant was wonderful too. The dentist himself was extremely kind and patient with all my questions - and I had a lot of them, lol! I'd 100% recommend this place for family dentistry in Edison. I'll definitely be back and plan to bring my three children as well. Thank you all so much - it was a real pleasure!
Thanks for the kind words about our team at Dr. Dental in Edison! We're thrilled you had such a positive experience with our family dentistry services. We look forward to welcoming you and your children back soon!
Honestly, I'm really disappointed with Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. We came in just to get a price for re-cementing a dental bridge that had fallen out. The front office confirmed it would be $25 for the evaluation and then they'd give us the price. But the dentist came in, checked it, and went ahead and did the cementing without even telling us the cost or getting our okay. Then they tried to charge us $225! When we said it was only supposed to be an office visit, the staff got rude. It feels like a really unethical practice here in Edison - they'll do emergency dental services without authorization and then charge whatever they want.
We're sorry to hear about your experience at Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. We take billing transparency seriously and will review what happened with our emergency dental services procedures. Please contact our office manager directly so we can address this properly.
I'll never go back to Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. Scheduled a prophylaxis appointment back in April. The wait was pretty long since the front desk said there was only one dentist available, and I was running a bit late myself. When it was finally time for my teeth cleaning session, the dental area looked completely unsanitary and unkempt. I asked the dental assistant to clean it since everything looked dirty - even the x-ray tools and equipment were dusty. She was cool about it and cleaned up, but honestly, the whole sight was beyond what I'd expect from a dental clinic in Edison. Just felt really uncomfortable with the cleanliness standards.
We apologize for your experience at Dr. Dental in Edison, NJ. Maintaining clean facilities for teeth cleaning and all our services is a top priority. We're addressing this immediately with our team. Please contact us so we can discuss how we can improve your experience.
Thank you, I had lost a piece of filling and called for an appointment. Thankfully there was availability half an hour after my call. The Doctor was very professional and had me up and running in no time. From the time I lost part of my filling to the time I was walking out of the office, maybe just over 2 hours. I know I was lucky but, appreciate the very quick response from the office staff and team at Dr. Dental. Regards, Jim
This is dental clinic took over from preview Dr.Dental Edison which I found out from my last visited. Every time I went there, they always added extra service which is necessary. It ended up with I have to pay extra money for every single visit. The good thing is Dr.Dental Edison would tell you in upfront, so I don't feel surprised. I have been told my X-ray is cover by my insurance and so far I don't get any bill from my insurance because of X-ray exam. With this new name (Dentistry and Braces), they sent me a bill which is my first time to get X-Ray bill. I remember that last time I visited. I told them I only needed check out and the old man with gray hair dentist got so disappointed.I guess this is how the way they want to get more money from patients. They can make a bill from you for any reasons. I dont want to go there anymore and please stop to text me again,
I had been visiting this dental clinic regularly for the past few years, yet my teeth continued to look terrible, as you can see in the picture on the left. They overcharged me for every cleaning visit and didn't do their job properly, plus the doctors kept changing frequently.
Today, I decided to go to a different clinic, and look at the amazing results they've achieved, as shown in the picture. To top it off, I was charged zero dollars for the visit.
Meanwhile, the previous clinic, Dr. Dental, keeps sending me emails about a bill of over $400, even though I don't owe them anything. I always paid at each visit using my insurance and cash.
I would definitely recommend finding a different dental clinic.
This dental practice is excellent! Dr Fiskin is absolutely amazing. He has old school bedside mannerisms. It was quite refreshing. I have had some painful dental experiences in the past, but this one was painless and thorough. I’ve found my dental home.
Lack of Consistency, Poor Communication, and Unprofessional Experience
I’ve been coming to this dental office for about five years now, and unfortunately, my experience has significantly declined over time. This office has gone through at least five different doctors and an entirely new staff within that period, which has made it difficult to build any sort of consistency or trust with my dental care.
I recently scheduled an appointment for 11:00 AM and confirmed it online through their portal. Despite confirming, I received multiple follow-up calls, text messages, emails, and voicemails asking me to confirm again — which felt excessive since I had already done so.
On the day of my appointment, I arrived 10 minutes early. Despite my scheduled time being 11:00 AM, I did not see the doctor until 11:46 AM. Around 11:20 AM, I politely asked the dental assistant what the delay was, and I was told they had an “emergency” and that the doctor would see me soon. I understand emergencies happen, but the lack of communication during my wait time was frustrating.
When I finally saw the doctor, I casually expressed my concern about the constant staff and doctor turnover, mentioning that this was the third doctor I had seen within the last year alone. The doctor laughed it off, which I found dismissive and unprofessional, especially given the legitimate concern about the lack of consistency in care.
Another ongoing issue I’ve encountered every visit is their insistence on taking new X-rays despite having recent ones on file. I’ve consistently declined because I do not feel it’s necessary to expose myself to more radiation every six months unless medically necessary. The dental hygienist then made an odd comment asking if my insurance didn’t cover it — which it does — and I found that highly unprofessional.
During my cleaning, I also noticed the doctor was unusually rough, which made me feel as though my earlier comment about the doctor turnover may have frustrated them. I could feel the tension, which made the experience even more uncomfortable.
Overall, I would not recommend this dental office unless you’re comfortable with having a new doctor and staff almost every visit, long wait times, excessive communication for confirmations, and a push for unnecessary X-rays. It’s clear that this practice has been bought and sold multiple times, and unfortunately, the quality of care and professionalism has suffered because of it.
I’ll be seeking a new dental office moving forward.
I booked an appointment with Courtney Cox for an appointment at 1:30pm today. I even did a text message confirmation with them on Saturday and earlier today. Guess what? I showed up a few minutes early and the entire office was closed! I tried calling them but no one picked up. I could only get their automated text messages. The only response I could get from that was “I'm sorry about that, I will forward your message to the office. Someone will help you in shortly.”
I waited 15 minutes past the appointment time and still no one showed up to open the door. I had to wait in the rain as well!! Unprofessional!! If you were going to cancel on me then why didn’t you call?
For future patients, I recommend you going somewhere else instead, if it means driving a little further away.
I strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Dental in Edison to stay away. I have never had issues with my dental insurance—it has always covered 100% of my services. However, this office has been overcharging me, billing incorrectly, and failing to verify coverage with my provider.
I’ve had multiple billing problems and mysterious extra charges that were never explained properly. When I tried to get clarification, I was met with incompetence and zero accountability. Something is seriously wrong with how they handle insurance claims, and it feels like a scam.
If you value transparency and honest business practices, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This place is either completely disorganized or deliberately misleading patients to overcharge them. Either way, I will never be returning, and I urge others to be cautious.
