Honestly, this was the worst dental experience I've ever had in New York. Went in for a root canal and the dentist was super rough, didn't numb me enough, and kept drilling even when I said it hurt. She didn't even finish the procedure - left me with a half-done root canal and a huge filling pressing right into my nerve. The pain was unbelievable. Had to rush to another dentist in NYC who was shocked at what they saw. They had to take out the filling and do the whole root canal properly. Just awful emergency dental care.

Hands down the best dentist I've ever been to in New York. My son goes to him now too. He's the reason I have all my teeth - seriously. On top of that, he's affordable and his office is clean and up-to-date. For dental implants and other work, you really can't do better in NYC.

They let me do a walk-in appointment in New York, charged way less than other dentists I called, and were incredibly thorough making sure I was comfortable before leaving. Don't want to give away the secret because then there'll be huge lines, but seriously - these are the best dentists in NYC! Got four fillings done and barely felt a thing on three of them. Everything went so smoothly. The office is right near Chinatown, so you can grab some great food after your appointment. They got me in exactly on time, gave clear instructions before, during, and after treatment, and really took good care of me. Even had great music playing! They accept insurance, but even without it, prices are reasonable - like $150 to $250 depending on what you need. Super professional and thoughtful team.

I was in soooo much pain last few days because my old root canal got infected. I was seen by Dr.Jessica Lam just 10-15m after waiting as a walk-in. She quickly assessed my tooth and took the x-ray. Then she gave me a referral to an endodontist with pain med+antibiotics with antibiotics prescriptions. Everything was just $60 only!
Booked an appointment for my partner after he maxed out his dental coverage for the year. Had some bad experiences with other places, but read on Reddit that Dr. Lam's practice is super affordable when paying out-of-pocket. Took a couple calls to get through, but no big deal - just needed some follow-up. From the old Google photos, I expected a basic office but was pleasantly surprised by a nicely remodeled practice in New York! Front desk staff spoke Cantonese too, which is great for the local community. Really solid choice for routine check-ups when you're paying yourself.

Danny Lam was in Columbia Dental School one year below me - and that's one of the top dental schools in the country. His office in New York is clean and efficient. What I really appreciate is that Dr. Lam doesn't push any upsells, unlike so many dentists these days. Prices are very reasonable too. Been a LASEK surgeon and business owner for nearly 30 years, so I recognize a high-quality medical establishment. Definitely recommending Dr. Lam and his daughter Jessica who's taking over.

Dr. Jessica Lam is extremely gentle, accommodating, and patient - she made sure I was totally happy with how my teeth looked. Didn't try to oversell me on procedures I didn't need, which was refreshing. Prices are very reasonable too - would've spent 5-10 times more elsewhere for unnecessary work. I cannot recommend Dr Jessica Lam enough! I just finished getting my crown after a root canal. I did have a pretty bad one so it took 2 trips for the procedure itself, and the 3rd was the crown. She and everyone in the office were awesome. My insurance sucks and this was a great affordable option. I highly recommend going if you're in the same spot.
I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Jessica during a routine dental cleaning. She was rushed and unprofessional, failing to stop the machine properly when switching sides, which caused my mouth to bleed. Her demeanor was rude, and the overall service felt careless.
Additionally, the clinic lacks a panoramic machine for properly assessing wisdom teeth. The digital X-ray machine is outdated, and the plastic pads used were uncomfortable and poorly sized. Despite expressing my discomfort and refusal to proceed with the X-ray, both the nurse and doctor insisted, forcefully pushing the hard plastic into my mouth. This left both sides of my mouth swollen.
If you’re looking for a professional and patient-centered dental experience, I would not recommend this place.
It has been almost a year now since I had my root canal and crown here. I was in extreme pain and I honestly didn't think the molar was even salvageable. I could not afford the $2500-$5000 that was quoted to me by my dentist, and that seemed to be the going rate for out of pocket care. I had medicaid which at the time did not cover root canals and crowns and the only option provided to me was to have the tooth pulled entirely. I am pretty young so the thought of having the tooth pulled and the resulting jaw bone loss from a tooth extraction was horrifying to me, and the only way to stop the bone loss would be to have an implant which would cost even more than a root canal and crown. Dr. Jessica Lam quoted me an extremely reasonable price, 500 for the root canal and 400-500 for the crown, depending on which crown option I went with. It took 4 long sessions to complete the procedure, and it did not cost anything extra even though I believe I had to have more appointments than a typical root canal + crown due to the severity of it. Dr. Lam was nothing but kind, compassionate, and understanding during the whole ordeal, and had no issues with answering the many questions about the current state of my tooth and the procedure. My tooth was so bad that the typical numbing agents had no effect on me, and they took my concern seriously and were able to provide a solution that worked for me, resulting in a pain free experience. It has been 11-12 months since I have had the crown and root canal and it has been perfect with no complications. I am forever in Dr. Lam's debt for being the only dentist in NYC that got me out of the hell I was in, without completely removing my tooth. I seriously cannot thank her and her team enough.

The best dentist experience in my life. Amazing pricing, great bedside care, great professional work. I got my root canal done for cheap ($500 for the RTC, $400 for the crown. $900 total). My case was very complicated, but they managed to clean my infection and get the fillings within a single day.
I was in great hands and will come back to them for more!

I arrived to my appointment and Dr. Lam quickly assessed my tooth pain along with an X-ray and was able to start my root canal procedure.
