Had a really negative experience at this dental office, mostly because of the receptionist Diane. Found her rude, dismissive, and unprofessional during multiple interactions. It created an uncomfortable environment that made me feel unwelcome as a patient. Sadly, I couldn't help but wonder if race played a role—it certainly felt that way. Probably if you're white you'll be treated better. Based on my experience in Staten Island, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for emergency dental services or other care. Just avoiding dealing with this person is enough reason to choose another office.

Honestly, Richmond Hill Dental Design and Dr. Cisternas are just the best! The staff's super nice and we never wait long at all. Their Staten Island office is clean and new with a really nice atmosphere. I wouldn't trust my family's dental care with anyone else—we travel quite a bit to get there for our cleanings and checkups, and it's always worth it. Highly recommended!

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Stay away! Let's start with the front desk receptionist Diane, who seems to run the whole office. She talks down to you and overcharges you and your insurance! Charged me for co-pays and fees that are unheard of. My insurance covers 100%, but she said I had to wait for the claim to process for a "refund." Meanwhile it's been since December, and the claim settled three months ago. For Staten Island dental implants or any services, stay away from that office—I wouldn't give them a penny. Shame on Dr. Cisternas for having such a terrible receptionist.

Got colored 3D scans, multi-angle X-rays, gum testing—the whole works! Incredibly friendly staff that made me feel at home. Clean office, and Dr. Cisternas is friendly and fun—really cool dude. Actually excited to go back. Genuine staff that care about your oral health. First checkup in 8 years at this Staten Island office, and they took great care of me. Honestly nothing but good things to say. Had no clue dentistry was so up-to-date with scans and multidimensional views. 10/10 don't bother with any other dentist for cosmetic dentistry or anything else.

Called them and they scheduled an appointment for the next day. My husband said the doctor was a really cool guy who explained everything thoroughly. He referred my husband to an oral surgeon for the procedure he needed. My husband really liked Dr. Cisternas and wants him as his regular dentist—so all the reviews were true! He even scheduled a checkup and cleaning appointment.

I overcame my fear of the dentist at this office and my fear of getting dental implants. I was recommended to go here by a friend who had work done. After a failed root canal that could not be repaired and was in danger of damaging my jawbone and a missing lower tooth I met with Dr. Cisternas and Dr. Terranova. I was assured that this would be a painless procedure and I am glad to report that it was. The procedure took around an hour, two implants placed and no pain. They are exceptional dentists and take their time. More to their credit was the follow up care with a call from Dr. Cisternas to make sure I was sticking to my instructions and that I was not experiencing pain. Highly recommended.
