Honestly, my family and I have been seeing Dr. Zhu in New York for 30 years now. Dr. Zhu, Dr. Su, and their whole team are just so professional and honest, always listening to whatever concerns we have. We've sent so many friends and relatives their way over the years, and almost all of them are regulars now. Even though we moved to Florida, we still fly back for our dental checkups and cleanings here. On my last visit, I met Yuki, who's an amazing technician. Her voice was so gentle and she was really caring—it felt more relaxing than a typical dental procedure. Couldn't be happier with the care.

Been going to Canal Dental Group in New York for a few years now, and the service is always good. They're very responsive and have a solid system to remind you about appointments. The office is clean, and everyone is professional and efficient. They explain any issues clearly. On my last visit, my hygienist Yuki was excellent—it was just a routine teeth cleaning, but she gently explained every step and even gave me Vaseline for my cracked lips. She was thorough but gentle, left me feeling well cared for. A side note: I happen to be someone with a pretty high dental anxiety, and they handle it really well.

You'll never be disappointed with Dr. Zhu’s team in New York. They're very professional and knowledgeable, and most importantly, really respectful to patients. They answered all my concerns about my implant and bridge condition, plus insurance coverage. Never met a team that worked so well together! Dr. Zhu isn't in my dental network, but I don't mind paying more for good service like this. Their cosmetic dentistry and restorative work are top-notch.

I made an appointment with Dr. Su for April 19th, 2024 3pm, when l arrived at the dental office, they sat me down in the dental chair, it turn out to be another dentist Dr. Zhu working on my teeth, he was very knowledgeable and did a great job.
However, l wished l was informed in advance because l rushed back from upstate NY, try to made this appointment, while rushing l didn’t realized l parked in 2 hours parking spot, next morning l saw 2 tickets posted on my car window total at $180.
Had l was informed, l would have rescheduled because l prefer same dentist worked on my teeth.
Dr Zhu he is kind,professional and knowledgeable,I feel that I am very lucky that I have him as my dentist. I would highly recommend him. Nice stuff too .
After my old hygienist retired, I decided to give Canal Dental Group in New York a try. Wish I'd gone sooner, honestly. The team is super professional and thorough. My hygienist Maggie was incredibly detail-oriented and explained every step of the cleaning so clearly. Dr. Su was prompt and really knew her stuff. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience for my general dentistry needs. Definitely sticking with them.

Dr.Zhu is amazing! He is very patient in explaining everything. He is also very experienced & skilled in his work. I had a filling replaced which another dentist put in who left many jagged edges causing it to chip. Dr. Zhu will not suggest you spend money on procedures which aren't necessary. His office staff is also very accommodating & courteous. They follow appointment times, so there isn't much waiting. My entire family uses Dr. Zhu, from my mom to my siblings, as well as my kids! I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a good dentist!
Dr zhu is one of the best dentist in nyc. I've been to many dentists and I'm the type of patient who dentists dread because of over complicated / too much dental work/ past / lack of preventative care and attention so many dentists sigh when they see my teeth. In fact most dentist tell me to have a low expectation of life expectancy for my teeth. It's part genetics and part environmental/ habit / diet history . Dr zhu is super positive, very attentative and he never once acted the way or spoke the way many general dds' spoke to me . I can't blame the other dentists but this is why Dr zhu is genuinely top notch. From his care and concern and attention to detail, his administration of analgesics and his communication /explanations and rapport building makes him the best dentist I've ever seen in nyc. And I've had about 6 to 7 dentists here. Probably 10 in my lifetime and I know a decent amount of dental knowledge compared to an average dental aware patient . Dr zhu is worth every dollar.
Oh and the staff is nice. They do text reminders/ text confirmations which makes it better than most offices that don't. I have been late some times but they always try to accommodate me or reschedule me with no attitude / absolute professionals.
The office is clean and comfortable. Office staff is always friendly and diligent. Appointments are spaced very well and never had to wait too long. Dr. Zhu and the dental hygienists are gentle and professional. Highly recommend Dr. Zhu and his team.
Been here twice now on my husband's recommendation—he's been visiting for years in New York. I absolutely hate going to the dentist like everyone else, but I actually look forward to seeing my dental hygienist now. Reception and check-in are super efficient and friendly. The hygienists are extremely knowledgeable and gentle, giving advice based on my dental condition. The dentists are fast and efficient too, honest about pricing and options. Have my next cleaning and teeth whitening scheduled and am no longer anxious to visit!

I was recommended by my daughter to see Dr. Zhu, and I was so happy that I had made the right choice. All the staff and the Dentist were super nice and helpful. I was also impressed that I don’t need to wait for a long time like other doctor offices do. I get to see the dentist right on my appointment time. I’ve been going to Dr Zhu for my dental needs for years. His facility is clean and he is very professional and knowledgeable. Most importantly, he’s gentle and will inform me what to expect as he’s working so that I wouldn’t jerk in my chair. Dr Zhu is the best. I’ve recommended him to all my family members and friends. Definitely a five star experience! I’ll give him ten stars if I can.
