This place is hit or miss. I've been overcharged before—they tell me insurance didn't cover stuff, but it's their job to know. Then they call months later asking for more money. Today I waited over an hour in the room, got x-rays and a brushing, then waited 45 minutes for the doctor. I left because my time wasn't respected. I only go here because they're not Western Dental and close to home. Super frustrating.

Red flag alert! I won't be back. The front desk was nice, but I'm seriously concerned. They said I needed a deep cleaning in my gums, but I've never needed that before—I get regular cleanings and my teeth are fine. Makes me wonder if Dr. Park is just after insurance money or not that skilled. The deep cleaning was super painful, and the hygienist seemed inexperienced. Plus I was there way longer than expected.

I was terrified of dentists after some bad experiences, but DTLA Smile is close to my office in LA and had great reviews, so I gave it a shot. So glad I did! Dr. Park is super friendly and clearly cares about his work. The whole staff seems happy to be there, which says a lot. They're upfront about costs too—told me everything before I even scheduled. Staff was warm and friendly! Natalie helped me figure out all my insurance stuff, which was awesome. Dr. Park saw me quickly but didn't rush—took his time and was really knowledgeable. Eric did my cleaning and was great too. Parking is free, though the area isn't the best. Office is clean and inviting. Definitely recommend this dentist in LA.

Honestly, this place is awesome. Front desk Meagan was super accommodating—my husband and I got seen at the same time, and they even let our 9-month-old run around the lobby while we took turns in the chair. Felt like a really personal, homey vibe, not that fake professional stuff you get elsewhere. So glad I found this dental office in Los Angeles!

Dr. Park is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled, makes his patients feel comfortable, and is so gentle with every procedure I’ve had to get done. No one enjoys going to the dentist but we do out of necessity. Going to someone who makes it as painless as possible with a front office team that is so welcoming and kind makes it bearable and semi-enjoyable lol. ♥️
Been going to the same dentist for a very long time but decided to come here after moving recently. Had my initial appointment about 6 months ago where I got x-rays and a regular cleaning and was told I needed a deep cleaning on one side. I came back in today for my deep cleaning. My appointment was at 1145. I arrived at 1146, checked in, and went to the back with hygienist where I was told to wait for doctor. I ask hygienist how long the deep cleaning would take and she says 45min. Waited for about 25min for dentist to come in. He comes in around 1215. He was going to use anesthesia which I ask him not to use. He tells me to let him know if discomfort was too much. Starts the “deep cleaning” on my left side. About 10 minutes later he leaves saying he will be right back. Comes back in a few minutes later to tell me I need a “light deep cleaning “ on the right side as well and if I would like to come back another day or just get it done now. I said I would prefer to get it done now. He spends another 5 minutes on the right side and tells me I was done and to wait for polish. This was at 1230. I was very confused as he had only used the water pick device (not sure what the name is) and spent a total of 15min on a procedure that typically takes about an hour per quadrant and causes severe discomfort (I didn’t feel anything at all and I didn’t use any numbing). I express my concern and he says he’s just very gentle and leaves. He didn’t check his work after the “cleaning”, didn’t use any of the other devices the hygienist had layed out, didn’t discuss anything about my dental health/aftercare/when to come back etc. I highly doubt he looked at my chart at all. I go to the front desk where I’m asked to pay $70 copay. I express my concerns to the admin who was kind enough to just charge for a regular cleaning but I honestly feel scammed since even a regular cleaning is more thorough than whatever I got. 2 stars for front desk.
I had most of my silver fillings replaced with composite here over two appointments. After the first, my tongue was sore for a few days, possibly from a cut during the procedure. After the second, my throat and the side of my mouth felt sore, likely due to the saliva suction pipe being placed too far down. I’ve never experienced this much discomfort after cavity fillings before, but I’m hopeful for great long-term results. Front desk staff are pleasant!
This was my first visit to DTLA Smile. Dr. Park and his staff were all welcoming, friendly, kind, respectful and professional. They were all patient and caring and as much as I don’t like going to the dentist (who does?), I was immediately made to feel at ease.

Ive been to DTLA Smile twice now. The first time was for a deep gum cleaning and an adjustment for a filing that was sensitive from another dentist. The office staff and assistants are very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Park seems highly competent and did a good job. For example he checked on progress of my gums that were deep cleaned a few months ago. Overall im happy with the professional service provided here. Try them out!
Every visit I've had here has gone smoothly. Dr. Park always puts a big smile on my face :D and makes me feel very comfortable during every visit. He shared some great advice on how I can prevent further damage from my teeth grinding and discussed treatments options with me. Dr. Park saved my life. I feared dentists for most of my life and naturally postponed dental work. Long story short the day finally came when a tooth infection like no other crippled me for about two weeks. I came DTLA Smile, the staff was super friendly and Dr. Park was a master at work. He gave me a root canal and extracted a ruptured wisdom tooth. Dentist visits are uncomfortable by nature and I’ve heard terrible stories. My visit with DTLA Smile went as smooth as possible. The discomfort and pain was minimal and nothing compared to the pain I had with the infection. By day two I was 95% percent recovered with almost no discomfort. I didn’t even use the pain medication. Dr. Park is quite literally UNMATCHED, I have never had a dental experience so pleasant and it wasn’t because I wasn’t getting a lot of work done because I was but he made this the most positive experience. He’s the first dentist that gave me a comprehensive plan that I felt confident about and I was able to have all of my dental work completed within a few weeks. His technique is unlike any dentist I’ve ever been to, he made the experience comforting and I never felt anxious walking into my appts. 10/10 I would recommend him over and over. Stephanie is also amazing!!!
