Took my daughter for a teeth cleaning here. The wait was long, and they didn't take X-rays because I asked for a manual exam. The cleaning felt quick and superficial compared to what I get as an adult. Then my insurance paid them $340 and they still sent me a bill for $220. First time a doctor's office has billed me extra after insurance paid so much. Not happy with the billing practices at this Edgewater pediatric dentist.

Giving two stars because of the nasty attitude from the insurance rep when I arrived. The dentist herself was great—very knowledgeable and she was stupendous, no complaints there. But the insurance lady was condescending and impatient, talking about 'her' prices like she owns the place. At first I thought she was a dentist when she said 'I'm not sure if I have time to see you' because she had other patients. Ruined the experience at this dental clinic in Edgewater.

My daughter actually loves going to the dentist now, which is wild. Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry turns what could be a scary thing into something fun. She gets to pick the TV show, choose flavors for pastes and even the laughing gas when she needs it. The staff is super kind and welcoming. They're amazing. Super professional and actually talked to me like a person and a mom with lots of questions. I came in a nervous wreck and left calm and hopeful. Dr. Nguyen and her staff took time to explain the X-rays and the whole procedure for my son's tooth extraction after an injury. She walked me through all options, pros and cons, and helped me make a decision I was comfortable with. They even removed his lip tie. Just had my daughter's first dental appointment and I can't stop raving about this office! Excellent service from start to finish—admin stuff was smooth for me, and for my kid it was even better. The ambiance was welcoming, staff was warm, and they made her feel comfortable every step. It was the day before Halloween so everyone was dressed up, TV was on to keep her happy, and they even had a personalized welcome sign with her name. As a mom, that touched my heart. BEWARE – Overcharging & Insurance Issues! While the front desk staff is kind and professional, this office has serious billing and insurance transparency problems. They claim to be in-network with my Delta Dental Premier, but every time I get treatment, I'm charged way more than my out-of-pocket should be. My EOB showed inflated charges. Completely unacceptable for a dental clinic in Edgewater, NJ.

Everyone was SO warm and welcoming and it was a breath of fresh air after having a negative experience at another place. My son is scheduled for sedation and they were so clear and upfront about the process and prices; Dr Sybil was an absolute doll and my son loved her!

I am extremely disappointed in my recent interactions at this practice. Both my kids had been long standing patients here and we were happy with the service. At first, we did not have dental insurance and would pay everything out of pocket. We recently got dental insurance and the office staff was not forthcoming with the fact that they are out of network with our insurance and wanted to charge me 300 for a check up and cleaning. I had already taken my older son to a different practice because I felt what I was being charged was too much and his checkup and cleaning were completely covered.
I've seen on other reviews that they rely on the financial policy that I guess they have us sign when first joining the practice stating that they are only in network with Delta. However, I had been a patient for years at the point of acquiring insurance. I find it quite misleading on their part not to state that right away when I presented them my insurance card.
My interactions with the doctor's were always great and my kids felt comfortable. It's a shame that the experience was soured due to lack of transparency in billing.

Our financial policy, which is signed every year, states that we are in network with Delta Dental Premiere and out of network with all other insurances. Please contact our office if you would like a copy.
In addition, we request that patients that have new insurance submit the information 48 hrs prior to their appointment. This allows us to verify your insurance in advance.

Dr. Yasmine is outstanding. Both my daughters got all the dental work done by her. She is exceptional and passionate about her job. My second daughter was terrified of the dentist, and she took her time to calm her down, talk to her and approach her with a lot of care and love. I am delighted. My first daughter had a root canal without anesthesia but with laughing gas, and it went smoothly. My second one had deep cavities but no need for a root canal, and she had laughing gas. The front staff is excellent and helpful. They may be a bit pricey, but they are worth the experience. Highly recommend.
