Got dentures here because of the warranty, but it's been over a year and I still have sores from the plate rubbing. Dr. Wright just guesses where to adjust instead of using the dye markers. I've had 6 sets of teeth in 28 years, so I know a good fit—but he doesn't know how to adjust. First set I was told if you ignore sores, they can turn to cancer. He doesn't seem to care. Says the sores aren't black yet. But it takes time. So now I'm stuck with teeth that give sores.

Overall, the service and staff at Elite Dentistry are really good. But I've noticed my teeth aren't as white as they used to be since I became a patient. Not sure if it's aging or technique, but I want to bring that up at my next visit. I'm thinking about extra cleanings, but without insurance it's all out-of-pocket, and I don't want to waste money if it won't help. I'll start trying some things at home too.

The staff at Elite Dentistry in Johnstown, PA is excellent—kind and thorough. But unfortunately, it's a corporate-owned place, and their hands are tied. They don't take retirement insurances, which is a problem in a retirement town. And cash prices are sky-high—$465 for a simple extraction! I'll go to an oral surgeon who charges half that and takes my insurance. Hope the corporate folks get what's coming when they retire.
