I called to schedule but was told they couldn't take my insurance and wouldn't give any prices. The person on the phone was really unhelpful and basically rejected me. Never even got to see anyone. Very frustrating experience.

I agree with other 1-star reviews. I was told over the phone that exam plus X-rays are $375, but other reviews say they were told $300. That's false advertising. As a dental assistant for 15 years, I've never heard such an absurd price for that. Run away!

Nice dentist and assistant. Unfortunately doesn't take insurance. The cost for exam and x-ray $300 . Crazy. Est. For resolving tooth issue way over the top. Could have gone to ER to get antibiotics and saved that $300.
I am very surprised by this review, I don't think you are being very fair - you were given excellent service and care, seen on time, and treated appropriately and gently... that's 5 star service!
complaining about the cost... you were told the fee and paid it knowing exactly what we were going to do. We opened the office early today to see you, saw you immediately and on-time, which few offices ever do , and did a thorough exam and diagnosed your infection. We wanted to provide treatment but you declined, so a prescription was given to hopefully help your infection from becoming even worse... I don't know what else we could have done for you to make you happy, aside from free care...
As you told us, you have already seen 3 dentists before us and no one even offered to treat you, we did and you give us 2 stars? c'mon Julie, that's not very nice! good luck and I hope you eventually get the care you need.
I’m in pain and everyone in this damn town only does appointments only! Ridiculous to anyone that’s a first timer here! They advertise that they can help, but that’s a lie! Y’all need to be closed and shut down! Looking for a real emergency dentist, come to the city!

Best dentist I've ever seen. Called on a Sunday with a severely broken tooth and terrible pain. Two hours later, they called me in. 30 minutes later, it was fixed. Zero pain 12 hours later with no pain meds. Dr. and assistant were kind, caring, and funny. I'll never call anyone else.

I've had a tooth problem since October my insurance wouldn't pay for an extraction or a root canal.... I went to an emergency dentist found out he drilled too far and exposed my nerve.the dentist herw here were awesome I was terrified they made me calm it was a little more expensive than I thought it was gonna be but at this point so worth it ......if I ever have any problems with my teeth again I will definitely be going back the .receptionist and the doctor were both amazing and they made me feel incredibly calm, no problem giving me a work note ,and even call to check up on me the next day thank you guys so much

Let me start off by saying I’ve never had a better experience at a dentist office. They catered to my anxiety like no other, compared to my old dentist who told me “i thought only girls complained about that stuff” they did a wisdom tooth extraction same day and actually talked to me like they cared, unlike most dentists. Before the process even started we talked about my hobbies and interests.. I can’t stress enough how good they were. Procedure was quick and easy. Go here if you need dental work!!

Thank you Dr. Baum who was awake at 1:30am and pulled out my infected tooth that 2 other dentist left me in pain with! especially at 8 months pregnant I was in so much pain from this i couldn’t even sleep and Dr. Baum was the only dentist that pulled it out for me thank you!

Been calling for an hour bc I have a dental emergency. No one has picked up the phone. I've left several voicemails and no one has returned my calls. Now it is 5pm and message says they are closed. I have a painful toothache and I suppose I will have to go through the ER at the hospital. I don't believe there are any other emergency dental clinics.
You were never a patient here. We respond to all our messages, as long as they are clear and we can actually hear your phone number. We treat patients day and night, 7 days a week. To give us 1 star, when we never saw you, is the absurdity of the internet.
Very professional! 5 stars isn't enough—I'd give much more. Dr. removed my wisdom tooth and I felt nothing, nothing at all. No pain after, didn't need painkillers. Oh, and I was pregnant! If you're pregnant, don't be scared—they'll take care of you. Definitely coming back (hopefully not, but if I need to).

Dr. Baum is an easy-going, genuine, and honest dentist. I needed a wisdom tooth pulled and was extremely nervous, but he was gentle. Lisa the assistant was nice and gentle too; they kept checking on me. The procedure was fast and painless. Melissa the receptionist was super kind. Needed an emergency wisdom tooth extraction on a Sunday. No one was available because of the holiday weekend. Lucky my brother gave me Dr. Baum's number. Had a cracked tooth and was in extreme pain. Called not thinking I would get an appointment but was surprised was I was asked if I can come right away. Without hesitation I ran out the door, pajamas and all. I was taken in fairly quickly and before i knew it the tooth and an old tooth next to it was taken out. Barely any pain! The staff was super friendly and eased my nervous! Dr. was amazing!

So my husband was in excruciating pain from one day to the next. We just moved to Long Island therefore we had not even found a dentist as of yet. I googled dentist in Long Island and called each and every one that came up in order. Absolutely no one would take him at 6pm on a weekday except Emergency Dental Care in Stony Brook. They were efficient and friendly and patient as GPS told us we lived 40 minutes away. The dentist waited and immediately took him in when we arrived. This dentist had to be about my 25th phone call throughout Suffolk County . To say we didnt feel like another medical record number is an understatement. They waited for us and treated us like family. Dr. C was amazing and tender and even though she couldn't fix the problem at the very moment, she made sure he was comfortable, called in antibiotics and pain medication. Lisa and Melissa were also super helpful throughout the process making sure the oral surgeon squeezed him for tomorrow. Never been to a dentist and felt like it was owned by my own family. Found my new dentist and although quite the drive from home, itll be worth the drive. To say I recommend dorsmt quite sum it up. Super grateful.

In severe pain Saturday morning and got no sleep. Left a message at about 8 am and got a call back at 9 and he said I could come in at 10. Had the infected tooth removed quickly and easily with no pain.
