Worst dental experience ever. I came in with a severe toothache after international travel, in pain. They confirmed infection on X-ray but said the general dentist couldn't do a root canal and sent me to a specialist. The specialist said if it's a second infection, the root might be fractured. Felt like I was just passed off. Not the emergency dental service I needed in LA.

Horrible experience. They changed my appointment after I scheduled, then tried to bill my insurance for unnecessary stuff during my semi-annual cleaning. Later they said I owed money from a cleaning six months ago, but they had my email wrong. None of this was mentioned when I booked. I walked out and will find a different dentist in LA.

Very traumatic experiences here. After two procedures with lidocaine, one landed me in the hospital. Had a tooth extraction and implant same day with no pain meds—just told to take Advil. Later, a filling caused pain, and they said it was my wisdom teeth. A second opinion revealed the filling was misaligned, causing food packing. Now I'm pregnant and can't get it fixed. Avoid for oral surgery or implants in LA.

I was seen promptly at my appointment time. The staff was very kind, friendly and attentive as always. Dr. Caligiuri explained every step during the procedure and is very thoughtful about the comfort of his patients. After completing the procedure he explained in detail what to expect and stated that he would be available if there were any problems or for answering any questions. I highly recommend Dr. Caligiuri!

A year ago I became a new patient due to the proximity to my work and not yet having a dentist in LA, despite a few people who told me that they're heard of others having a bad experience here. I initially visited as my crown that I had for 10 years broke and needed replacement. While the doctor was professional and kind, I immediately had hot/cold sensitivity to the tooth that the crown was put on, which was odd since I had a root canal on that tooth 10+ years ago. I went in and it was adjusted and told the cause could be the current placement, but it continued to be uncomfortable and feel very foreign. Food was constantly getting stuck in it, it made my bite uncomfortable, and eventually my jaw on this side of my mouth began popping when eating which I never experienced before. Due to these issues and the additional problems listed below, I went to another dentist as I no longer trusted this dentist. I was told that I may be experiencing pain due to the heavy modifications made to the crown that were obvious, and that it's placement being too high. The crown became uncemented and popped off after not even being on a year.
In addition, the doctor filled some cavities and I began to experience pain in every area he worked on. When I told him about pain that I was experience in my upper left side, he said that nothing was found there. The next dentist I went to quickly identified a large cavity, which now requires a root canal/crown. Had this been addressed sooner, I believe this may not have been the case.
Overall, I have had the worst mouth pain of my life this past year. I wasted money and time which I am now having to pay more money to fix. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I have never had such a negative experience that has impacted my physical comfort and wellbeing more and felt this needed to be shared.

This is a good place. The hygienisists are top-notch, the office is well-run by nice, bright people, and the dentist is ethical, pleasant, and professional. Appointments are on time.

Hygienists were great too. Only small thing: the receptionist could be friendlier. Otherwise, almost perfect for teeth whitening and routine care in LA.

I have been a patient at Environdental for 2+ years and I love this team. Dr. Caligiuri is so kind and an extremely intuitive dentist. Luz at the front desk is also amazing and so helpful. The hygienists are so detail oriented and create such a pleasant environment. There are several parking lots near their office located across the street from the Whole Foods.
I LOVE environdental. I have been going here since 2018 I think and even after moving to Orange County and trying other dentists, I come back because Dr. Caligiuri is the only dentist I trust (With his minimally invasive approach, I swear he's the only one who isn't trying to scam you into unnecessary treatments)! The atmosphere in the office is very light and puts you at ease. I've never been so comfortable in a dentist office! Dr. Caligiuri and his team are truly compassionate. I appreciate how they listen, educate, and provide treatment. Luz, the office manager, keeps everything running smoothly and is easy to communicate with. I recently had the hygienist do my cleaning (previously it was always Dr. Caligiuri himself) and I absolutely LOVED her! She was personable, funny, and educational - I learn so much from her and felt very comforted. I know many people who go to Environdental and everyone loves it.
It was so nice to "walk in" downtown to a nice, clean and friendly space where I was welcomed! Haven't had a dental visit in 4 years and was nervous to say the least! DDS Caligiuri took great care, didn't pressure me or guilt me and has a very sensitive hand when cleaning. The dental assistants were very nice and thoughtful and I will now be a consistent patient! There is also a great sense of pride to attending an environmentally conscious dentistry that is doing their part in responsible relationships in part with water use and waste 👌🌱👍
