I call the office and was scheduled an appointment by Ms. Shannon on 5-12-24 for 10:00 cleaning. Ms. Janet call me back for X-rays and consultation. I left with nothing done just wasted a hour and half of my time . I didn't need know consultation I have no cavities or bleeding gums. Do Not Come Here and waste your time keep looking Not a good staff Mr. Parker needs to replace some people.
Really disappointed with my recent visit to Family Dentistry of Columbus. I had appointments for a crown replacement, and Dr. Polk kept coming in and out of the room—once for 5 minutes, over 10 minutes another time, and almost 15 minutes once. I get that dentists need to check after cleanings, but this felt excessive. My hygienist was polite, and I've gone there for years without issues until today. She defended his actions, but let's be clear: I did not have an appointment just for a crown replacement, and I'm done with this practice. Have a nice day.

Absolutely love this office in Columbus, GA! I've been coming here since I was a kid and always had a fear of needles. Dr. Parker and Dr. Polk have continued Dr. Murrell's great work. They always talk you through what they're doing, which really puts me at ease. The staff is super friendly, and as a military family, they've always been accommodating when we moved and came back to Columbus. For dental implants or other needs, they're 10/10 and I highly recommend them.

Horrible staff at Family Dentistry of Columbus! Very rude! The office seems to discriminate against the elderly. My mom went there needing two crowns placed. Dr. Polk saw her for the initial appointment, and they charged her for X-rays and a consultation. She asked for estimates, but they said they'd call her. Ten days later, still no call. Her phone was acting up, so she went back to ask for the estimates, and the office manager was so rude to her. She's an 80-year-old woman—how can you be mean or rude to an elderly person in Columbus, GA? Unacceptable.

The two dentists and all the staff are awesome at Family Dentistry of Columbus. They truly care about their patients. If you're in the waiting area, you'll hear a bubbly sweet voice greeting people. Even with masks on, you can sense the assistants' and hygienists' smiles. The office is very personable—sometimes the doctor himself comes to get patients. They're always happy to see you, which is icing on the cake because the patient care for things like teeth whitening in Columbus, GA is great too! Then when you check out, it's just as smooth.

I had a horrible hygienist by the name of Stephanie, After cleaning my teeth she didn’t rinse my mouth... She got upset when I requested a fluoride treatment.. She looked at me and said your insurance doesn’t cover fluoride treatments.. Being a military wife for over 20 years I knew she was incorrect. So she went to front desk and the secretary told her Tricare allows fluoride treatments every 6 months... Well Miss Stephanie was pissed.. She put fluoride only on my front teeth.. I was so frustrated because my children had a awesome hygienist a few weeks ago, so I referred so many military families to Dr. Parker, based off my children’s visit!! Unfortunately I spent my whole afternoon contacting them all and warning them about the rude hygienist Stephanie. Most decided to cancel their appointments instead of having to deal with unprofessionalim. I also called Dr.Parker’s office and spoke with a office manager hopefully this will never happen to another patient!! It’s sad because the dentist is awesome and will lose plenty of patients with this kind of employee!
this guy (Polk) is very slick. When I told him I definitely wanted him to simply fill a cavity rather than doing an unnecessary root canal and crown (which he makes big money on, he gave me some lip-service, then simply bored my tooth down to the root and told me that my tooth would be hurting even though he did a temporary filling, and that I would eventually want him to do the crown etc,.. I went to Atlanta and saw an old friend dentist who is honest --Dr. Bruce Preston-- and he fixed me up with no complications and 2 years later, I haven't looked back (except to share this experience with you here).
I am not a fan of the dentist by any means but Dr Polk is amazing!!! No pain, no stress, best dentist ever!!! And the staff is always friendly and calming in demeanor and voice.
