had an incredibly easy experience having two fillings done for my 7yo yesterday and just wanted to say thank you! i was anxious myself coming in and you guys made everything so comfy and simple and i was so shocked at how quickly the appointment went! thank you again for your services and patience you are absolutely in the right field!!
This office doesn’t accept Delta Dental in-network—or any insurance in-network—just to make their lives easier. Meanwhile, it makes life much harder for families, forcing us to drive 1-2 hours for basic dental care for our kids. This is unacceptable. Do better!

I'm sorry you are frustrated. I would be too. From our experience as care providers, Delta Dental pays in-network rates that many times would force us to compromise on the quality of materials, personnel, time, and overall care we offer patients. We are happy to work with Delta as an out-of-network provider, and depending on the package your employer selects, you may still have good dental benefits regardless of in or out of network care.
However, to save money, some employers will select Delta plans that are more limiting in available providers. From what you expressed in your review, it sounds like that was the case. I would recommend you talk with your employer's HR department to let them know that your current plan isn't acceptable for what your family's needs are. When employees state their frustration and ask their employers for something better, we have seen several employers move away from Delta for this reason. If you never express what you wrote in your review to your employer, they will likely have no idea and will continue to offer you the same dental insurance.
Thanks for encouraging us to do better. We always try to do better. To be better than large corporate dental insurance companies, we created an in-office discount plan that is many times less expensive and better than insurance. It's not the best in every situation and every family has to do their own number crunching to determine this, but it's been great for families who don't want to be limited by their insurance.

Please consider adding some toys in the lobby so my son(2.5 yr old) doesn't play on your furniture. 😁 Other than that we had a wonderful second visit to have dentist. I love that my son can't escape the room because there are doors. The staff was wonderful with my son.
Thanks for the feedback. All of the toys and magazines in the lobby disappeared with Covid. Our entire team has been great at looking for the next new idea to make the office a great experience for families. I will be sure to share your feedback with the group.
Dr. Ludwig & his staff are AMAZING w/ little ones and I’m blown away by how flawlessly my 6-yr-old daughter’s filling went today! They are patient, kind, and use all the right verbiage which made this procedure such a positive experience for her. My kids LOVE the dentist now! So glad we made the switch.
What an amazing staff! Jill was beyond exceptional with my 5 year old daughter and my 2 year old son. My daughter brought her own dentist kit and Jill was so excited to see everything and truly made my daughter feel special. The attention and care she gave to my kids was awesome and in this world is often unseen. All my daughter is talking about is when does she get to see Jill again.
I'm so impressed with this experience I felt I should leave my first Google review. Highly highly highly recommend! Dr. Ludwig and his team have been phenomenal to work with. They have demonstrated so much patience, kindness, and a keen ability to work with young children.
I love taking my kids to Doctor Ludwig’s office, they’re all so friendly, helpful, and they make the kids feel so safe. My daughter was terrified of the dentist after her first experience before Dr. Ludwig, but he’s definitely turned that around! It’s so rare to find a good dentist that accepts Medicaid, 10/10 recommend this office to anyone!
I highly recommend Dr. Ludwig. He was wonderful with my 3 year old daughter for her first visit. He made her feel very comfortable, even though she was apprehensive about her check-up. My older three see him as well, and he is equally as great with them. He is very friendly, kind and interactive with the children. He also is very knowledgeable and provided a lot of great information to us at our visits. The office is beautiful and clean and the staff are very friendly and professional!
I highly recommend Dr. Ludwig and his staff. They are very clean, professional and amazing with kids. My daughter had 3 extractions done by Dr Ludwig. My son at only 5 yrs old had a cavity pulled, molar extracted and a spacer put in. Dr Ludwig and his team were able to accomplish this in one visit. They are fun and know exactly how to make kiddos feel comfortable. We highly recommend this dental practice. Thank you for taking such good care of our kiddos!!
We had our first visit with Dr Ludwig and staff today to assess our 7 year daughter. The hygienist was very kind and had a lot of information for me and gave me useful tips. She did an excellent job cleaning her teeth with no complaints from my daughter. Dr Ludwig was professional, kind and gave me the info we need to make decisions regarding her care. Highly recommend their office.
We have been taking our son here since he was 14 months old, he is now almost 4. We now take our daughter who is 18 months as well. The staff and Dr. Kevin are always so kind and patient with the kids. Our son who use to cry now happily sits in the chair by himself. I love how they don't pressure or force anything. They take their time with the kids knowing it can be a bit scary seeing the dentist. So grateful I was recommended here years ago and will continue to recommend them to others as well.
Oh my goodness I had the absolute best experience for my little 5 year old girl here. They are so kind and very thorough at explaining everything. My daughter was scared and they eased her right in and she left so happy! Our oral hygienist was very sweet and Dr. Kevin Lugwid is super duper nice and good with children.
We absolutely love the staff and Dr. Ludwig! They work well with our kiddos and make the dentist a fun place to go. They explain procedures to kids in a way kids can understand, and they help reinforce good oral hygiene. It's also a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Super kind and informing staff! They made myself and my son feel extremely welcome and not at all judged. Dr. Kevin Ludwig is honest and offers so many alternatives for parents with limited dental insurance. I was very pleased with our first visit and hope to make this office our permanent dentistry. Dr. Ludwig and staff are AMAZING!!!! We took our kids to this office after a horrible experience at another practice and could not be happier! Everyone in the office is kind and patient. They made us feel really important and took wonderful care of our kiddos! Both of my kids ask when they get to go back!
My son had the best experience ever in his dental visit. The staff is really nice and considerate! The hygienist was so good with kids, professional, kind and patient. Dr. Ludwig provided personalized care to my son as my son was scared of teeth cleaning from past experience. You will not have this kind of awesome customized care anywhere else! They are unique! This is a wonderful and fantastic team with great spirits. They care for kids, love kids and serve kids in a way that kids love. I highly recommend it for your little ones!
They staff at Fort Wayne Pediatric Dentistry were wonderful! We had Laura as our dental hygienist and she was very patient with my 4 year old. She also took time to thoroughly explain everything to me then to my 4 year. Dr. Ludwig was very enthusiastic and gave great advice about caring for my daughters teeth that have not fallen out yet. My daughter was very nervous and I was happy that nobody forced anything on her and they made her feel very comfortable! I would recommended them to any parent looking for a great pediatric dentist!
My son had a hard time at a different clinic. So he was very scared to go back to the dentist. Dr. Ludwig was very patient. He did a fantastic job talking him through everything and making my son feel very comfortable and able to do the cleaning and filling in the same day! Highly recommend him!
My 4 yo recently went to the dentist for the first time and Dr. Ludwig and his amazing team were awesome! His hygienist was fantastic and very patient with my son. My son isn't always open to new people and is sensitive with textures and tastes. I chose this practice as the reviews stated the entire team are very understanding, patient, kind and know how to work with kids in a positive way. This is exactly what I experienced. My son was so happy that the next day he asked if he could go to the dentist again. We will definitely be coming here as long as we can and I will definitely recommend to any friends with kids.
