Guys, I gotta tell you about this place in New York—10/10 service for sure. Dr. Howard Chi and the staff were super kind, professional, and caring, making my whole experience wonderful and stress-free. The office is easy to find on the 8th floor, and they took my insurance, which was a relief even though I paid a bit extra. The consult visit really made me feel comfortable and sure about getting my dental implant here. Office was clean, staff were always polite, and Dr. Chi has such a friendly bedside manner. My insurance took a while, but it was worth it!

Had a good experience getting both my bottom wisdom teeth out here in New York. Dr. Chi was kind and answered all my questions—my wisdom teeth were impacted, so I got IV sedation. This stuff was good; one second I was looking at the needle, the next everything was done. On my 2nd day now, no issues or pain so far, though I guess that varies by person. Overall, 5 stars for the wisdom teeth extraction and IV sedation.

Just got my wisdom teeth removed today here in New York, and the surgery was quick. Dr. Pan extracted them before I could even feel any pain, which was a huge relief. If your insurance doesn't cover a CT scan in New York, don't come here. They first called and told me the total for the CT scan and anesthesia was $500, but the next day when I called to make an appointment, they said it's $600. I questioned why, but the receptionist just kept cutting me off. So I did the extraction without a CT scan. The staff here need better training—if they're in a bad mood, they should quit. No one forced them to work here, and I have no idea why they always have a bad attitude. You're paid to work; if you're unhappy, quit the job.

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience here due to the surgeon’s poor bedside manner and alarmist communication style.
He entered without greeting, reviewed my X-ray, then immediately began listing worst-case scenarios like lifelong nerve damage and even jaw fracture — before any CT scan had been done. He specifically stated that if nerve damage occurred, he would not be able to fix it, and described nerve repair as a long, complicated surgery, which felt unnecessarily frightening at that stage.
When I shared that I was in my 20’s, he responded with “yeah that’s why we take these out as a teenager, I’m not judging you or anything but someone should have told you”. His tone was very condescending, he totally lacked bedside manners.
The conversation was led through fear rather than calm explanation, followed by immediate discussion of insurance and cost. I left feeling anxious and defeated.
I sought a second opinion elsewhere, where surgeons explained risks in a calm, reassuring way, performed a CT scan, confirmed my teeth were not near the nerve, and safely removed all four wisdom teeth in under an hour with no complications or nerve damage.
If you have health anxiety or value compassionate care, I recommend finding a provider with better bedside manner.
Amazing personable staff here in New York—Dr. Pan performed my surgery with professional and skilled ease. I was able to eat a normal diet without infection within 5 days and heal fully within 2 weeks after the wisdom teeth extraction. Really impressed with how smooth it all went!

Had two wisdom teeth removed yesterday in New York, and it was quick and easy! Everyone was so nice and comforting, and the surgeon was kind and gentle, telling me everything he was doing as he went, which really helped with my anxiety. Minimal bleeding and swelling on post-op day 1 for me—more sore than in pain. I was aware but felt no pain, and if I felt anything, they were quick to fix it! My advice: rest, relax, take the meds they prescribe, and use ice packs :)

Since I only had weekend availability for my wisdom tooth extraction in New York, Marc Pan was my dentist from consult to procedure. He was definitely witty but easy to talk to and informative, telling me to be preventive and get all wisdom teeth out early next time. Waited until I fully healed to write this—took about 3 weeks. Dr. Pan was thorough, the receptionists were friendly, and the clinic had a calm interior with a nice view. They have a standing x-ray panoramic in-office, which was convenient, and care instructions were written out clearly.

I went for a wisdom teeth removal for all 4 wisdom teeth with Dr. Pan and it was surprisingly quick and painless. Literally the most painful part was the injection of the local anesthetic and that wasn’t too bad either it’s like a needle pinch. I have anxiety so I thought I was gonna need to be asleep but it wasn’t too bad I was actually excited for the teeth to be pulled midway through.
This place should be shut down.I have just filed a complaint against them. They are the rudest people- literally hang up on me AND my insurance company numerous times. They refuse to accept the approval authorization from my insurance company for an extraction. My insurance company and I have been calling and arguing with them for weeks. Never in my life have I had an insurance company APPROVE a procedure, but the dentist DENY the insurance company's approval. Seems they are angry and feel every patient is trying to steal from them. They have wasted almost 2 months of my time when I have an infected tooth that needs to be extracted. Horrible waste of time!!! Stay away! Call your insurance company to find a different place to go.
Please verify with medicaid as the information we have said they failed to review your case. As per medicaid dental director, your case requires either approval or denial, however, they did not have proper review despite we have asked them repeatly. You are also more than welcome to discuss with medicaid dental director, as the information we receive from your rep is outdated and does not reflect their current policy.
I got my wisdom teeth taken out from here today and it was one of the most comfortable experiences I’ve ever had in a dental clinic. The space is clean with welcoming nurses. The doctor is incredibly helpful and really chill. It was very refreshing to have a young doctor who could be witty while also tackling your stubborn wisdom tooth while extracting LOL. I definitely will recommend him to my peers as well!
