Every visit felt rushed, and the lobby was always packed—I'd end up waiting way past my appointment time. My tooth movement with their orthodontic braces was super slow too; it's been noticeably faster since I switched offices. Scheduling was a constant headache—trying to call to book or change appointments often meant nobody would answer, then they'd call back later. With my job, it turned into phone tag and I still couldn't get things sorted in time. Also had a dental hygienist who wasn't very professional.

My daughter went to Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics in Atlantic Beach, FL, for years. I made an appointment last week for July 15th, and they verified her insurance when booking. But they called this morning to say their location no longer takes her insurance, so now I'm scrambling to get her an appointment before July 31st. It would've been nice to have some warning on insurance issues, not the day before. The woman who called was kind and helpful though.

No matter what time of day you call, a.m., p.m., or afternoon, they don't answer the phone. I got a voicemail at 11 AM and spent from 11 AM until 5 PM calling, placing at least 15 calls, and never got through. Yet the front desk has receptionists just sitting there. In seven hours, no one can answer a phone?

This is the most unhelpful doctor's office I've ever been to in Atlantic Beach, FL. We talked insurance—they're in my network, and exams and cleanings are covered, but I got a bill for $141.00. I get that deep cleanings have out-of-pocket costs, but when I asked about scheduling and the cost, they couldn't bring up the code. Unacceptable. Literally saw Dr. Carter for less than 5 minutes. If they're doing x-rays that insurance doesn't cover, that should be discussed upfront. Do not recommend this place!

So, I'm a total nervous wreck with dentists—Dr. Carter and team at Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics in Atlantic Beach, FL, were my fifth office in two years because I kept getting canceled as a patient. My anxiety was over the top from past experiences. Went in for an exam, x-rays, and cleaning, and they were all super kind, thoughtful, and just wonderful. Hannah worked up a quote, and we made a game plan to get started. I was super apprehensive, but they never made me feel bad about poor prior dental health. No judgment, just encouragement! Dr. Carter is phenomenal.

I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Ben Carter, Chris, Estefy, and the staff at the Atlantic Beach location of Greenberg Dental. I started my dental restoration process with them a year ago after undergoing several years of chemotherapy that wreaked absolute havoc on my teeth. Because of the toll that the chemo had taken on my dental health, dentist after dentist that I visited refused to even touch my mouth, much less fix a cavity or help with the pain or decay. From the very moment I walked in at Greenberg, Dr. Carter has been incredible. He met me with the most gentle, compassionate, and caring bedside manner I have ever seen. He listened to my story and never once berated me or made me feel guilty for how bad my dental health had gotten like most dentists do. Together with Estefy and Chris, we came up with a treatment plan that would work for my budget, my health, and my work schedule and within a few weeks I had my top teeth restored! It took longer for me to be able to get my bottom teeth finished but Greenberg stayed in contact with me the entire way, checking on me and my well being, ensuring that when I was ready and able, we could get the restoration work completed. I have never been happier with my smile in my entire life! My confidence and self esteem has risen and I would refer any and everyone humanly possible to Dr. Carter and Greenberg! They are all incredible, absolutely incredible human beings and I can’t say enough how thankful for them I am for giving me back something that cancer tried to take away! 10/10 stars!!

Front desk staff is ok - they hardly smile or seem happy to be there. No greeting when you walk in, just blank stares until eventually one of the multiple receptionists acknowledges you. There are plenty of them standing around chatting with each other yet I have to be the one to say “hey, we’re here for our 8am appt”.
Main reason for my 4 star review is due to the dentists and hygienists. They are always super nice! We are usually in and out in record time, which I love as my schedule is super hectic.
The most fabulous dental visit I've ever had! The staff at Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics in Atlantic Beach, FL, is marvelous. Dr. Carter is witty and very thorough, and Dr. Bon, who cleaned my teeth, was so gentle and personable. So grateful to have a new dental team less than a mile from home! Best part: I got excellent care with no unnecessary treatment plan. Went for a cleaning and left with squeaky clean teeth 🥰. To anyone searching for a dentist at the beaches, go! This is the most disorganized and unsanitary dental office I've ever been to in Atlantic Beach, FL. One receptionist canceled my appointment when I specifically told her not to. I went on the day just for them to say it was canceled, and no one would give me her name to protect her. Took off work, wasted time and gas, and they said they couldn't get me in. If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not go to this dental office.

I had a 7:30a apt. I was on time although the light were not on in the office. I completed my paperwork as requested. I was called into a room for X-rays. The tech left the room stating she was getting the doctor. Thirty mins later he appears. He asked how I was doing and I explained I had been sitting in that room for 30 mins. He says he has to wait that long or longer when he goes to the doctor and he is a doctor. I explained our time as patients is important and no excuses. I told him I needed to be at work @ 9:00am. He checked my teeth sent to another room for my cleaning. The X-ray tech advised the cleaning tech to be sure to use "the new code per the doctor". The cleaning tech asked me if the doctor had discussed any new products with me I said "no". It was after my cleaning as I was rescheduling my next appointment I was advised they used a new cleaning product for my cleaning that is not covered by insurance. I owed $. This is inexcusable to not advise a patient of the change knowing it isn't covered by insurance. This should have been discussed by the doctor at the consultation. Poor management in this office.

I've been going to Greenberg for years, and a year ago transferred to this location. The location is in a nice area, and apts seem to be made pretty quick when ever I've needed it. Reception and assistants are nice. I highly recommend Dr. Carter. He was my dentist at the university location, and even after I moved to middleburg and he came to the Atlantic location, I make the drive to here. I have had dental issues my whole life, which gave me some phobias and mistrust of dentist. Many don't listen and I felt like they just expected you to just dish out money and not give you any input on your own needs. Dr. Carter is very kind and personable, he'll talk to you about your needs and his recommendations, but he isn't pushy about things. He doesn't shame people about conditions (like some dentist) and he's helped me figure out a care plan that worked for me. I went from a wrecked mouth, to having my whole mouth overhauled, and i feel and look better than i ever have. The only thing is he and the office can be very busy, but as long as your patient you should have a good experience. Which I mean it should be expected, all doctor and dentist places get busy and have wait times, so I dont get why people get so upset having to wait around. And honestly Greenberg is better at wait times then pretty much anywhere else I've gone for anything. So all and all, highly recommend.
I have been going to Greenberg Dental for a number of years as they are close to me and take my dental insurance, but I have only gone to get my teeth cleaned and for the annual exam. I have never had a dental problem until last week when about 1/3 of one of my front teeth got knocked out. I looked up all of the possible fixes and it seemed that composite bonding would be the most appropriate as the rest of the tooth was fine (no cracks, not loose, etc). They gave me a quote of $890 to fix my tooth. This didn't seem right so I looked up the details of my coverage and there wasn't even a single procedure that costs $890 under the plan. Even the more extensive remedies were around $410 according to my dental plan. I asked them about this and they could not give me a clear explanation. I asked them what the procedure was called that they wanted to do and I looked it up when I got home and my plan document said it should cost $290. Rather than fight with them on the cost and potentially have them do a poor job on the repair, I called around and found a dentist that repaired my tooth for less half the cost that Greenberg was quoting and this was completely out-of-pocket as the new dentist did not take my insurance. The new dentist included the code of the dental procedure that they did to fix my tooth so I looked this up on my plan document and it turns out that Greenberg should have charged me $95 to fix my tooth. Greenberg was fine for exams and regular cleanings. However, when I truly needed dental care they were not there for me. In fact I felt like they were trying to scam me. Beware!
I recently visited this dental office, and I'm impressed by their exceptional service. The staff addressed all my concerns with kindness and validation, creating a friendly and welcoming environment. Highly recommended for a positive dental experience!
I made an appointment last week for an annual cleaning/exam for today. The ladies at the front desk were nice, no wait time. The dentist who did the exam was very helpful & fast, i love that he asked if i wanted an ortho exam while i was there. I then went to the hygienist, got my teeth cleaned. He did a great job. When i was done with the cleaning i immediately was able to be seen by the orthodontist who was able to examine my teeth & give me a time frame about how long i would need braces & different braces options. I then sat with one of the ladies from up front about my insurance & payment options. I was able to get my braces right then & there however i had go. This whole process took ONLY a little over an hour. Now i am booked for braces at the end of the month. 10/10 EXPERIENCE
I've been here several times in the past 2 months and it's been a great experience each time. The only downside has been trying to schedule my wisdom teeth extraction but all of the professionals working here have been a pleasure and the things they can do, they get done in a timely manner. I can't imagine going anywhere else
Dr. Carter and his assistant Karlie were absolutely wonderful during my procedure. I felt very comfortable and relaxed the entire process of my treatment even though I was a bit anxious. Would recommend their services to any & everyone!

The front desk staff if very friendly and helpful, My Assistant Ashley S was great! She was so compassionate, she was very knowledgeable about my work that I was treatment planned to have done and made me feel so comfortable. She is also great with her coworker who she was training while doing my exam and xrays. The Dr. Has such a wonderful personality. I love this location and will only come here for my dental needs.
