We had a very great first experience here in Grove City! And I'm excited for our future visits! The pediatric dental team was fantastic.
Welcome to Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates! We're thrilled your first visit went so well. Our team looks forward to providing excellent pediatric dental care for your family. See you next time!
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place even if it was the only pediatric dentist in Grove City. From the first call to today's visit was a nightmare. When I first called to set up an appointment, they kept insisting I provide a group number from my child's insurance card, but our provider only has a member ID. I called again weeks later thinking it was a different office, but the person saw my previous call and said I probably spoke to a new staff member who was trained heavily on insurance. Still, the whole experience left a bad taste.
We're sorry to hear about your experience with our insurance verification process at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. We understand how frustrating that can be, and we're working on better training for our team to handle all insurance types, including those without group numbers. We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll give us another chance to provide the pediatric dental care your child deserves.
Employees were kind and very helpful when I was looking a night guard! Would go back!
I was told my son needed a tooth removed and they recommended general anesthesia due to his age. But coordinating the procedure and getting insurance prior authorizations was a complete disaster. They told me to contact Nationwide Children's for the anesthesia authorization, but NCH kept saying it was the referring office's responsibility. A NCH rep even contacted the surgery coordinator herself and got the same pushback and shortness. She said she'd never seen an office refuse to submit prior authorizations like that. Very frustrating experience with sedation dentistry arrangements.
We apologize for the confusion and frustration regarding the prior authorization process for your son's sedation dentistry at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. We take this seriously and are reviewing our procedures to ensure smoother coordination with insurance and hospitals. Please contact us directly so we can make things right.
Dr. June is absolutely amazing!! She has the patience of a saint! My daughter was super scared going in, but Dr. June took her time to calm her down. She walked through everything she was going to do, showed her every single tool and explained what each was for. She really does such an awesome job! I can't praise Dr. June enough! Everyone is super friendly, and I've had no issues scheduling—they work around all types of schedules. They also do a fantastic job keeping the kids entertained with TVs and play areas. Couldn't be happier with our pediatric dental visits in Grove City!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're thrilled that Dr. June and our team at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates made your daughter feel comfortable during her pediatric dental exam. We love creating a positive environment for kids. See you next time!
My son has always had anxiety about going to the dentist, but this office in Grove City truly goes above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. He had a cavity filled today, and the entire staff was excellent—gentle, patient, and kind. They genuinely care about his comfort and do everything to make it a positive experience. It's such a relief to see him leave with a smile instead of fear. So grateful for their professionalism and compassion during restorative pediatric dentistry!
We're so glad your son had a great experience with restorative pediatric dentistry at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates! Our team works hard to make every visit comfortable. Thanks for trusting us with his care—we look forward to seeing you both again!
After almost two years of taking my children for dental check-ups at this clinic, I have decided not to take my children. At first they had several bilingual assistants, which was the reason I went to this clinic. The reception staff is too rude and arrogant, today my son needed to use the bathroom, the person at the reception knocked on the door several times to get him to come out, accused him of playing with water, he yelled at me saying that The appointment was at 2:00 pm, when not even 5 minutes had passed... it was not the first time that I felt this attitude from the clinic staff, on the phone they had the same attitude... it is not a place in the I felt comfortable and neither did my son. If you are looking for a place where you are received and treated kindly and with a smile on your face, it is definitely not this clinic lately.
Both of my daughters LOVE going to their dentists in Grove City! All the dentists and receptionists are so incredible and helpful—they go out of their way to make the kids feel happy and comfortable. After their appointment they get a gold coin for the toy machine, and I think they look forward to appointments just for that and the way the staff treats them. They also have a cute playroom for kids while siblings are being seen. My family will continue coming here. If you're looking for a new pediatric dentist, this is the place!
Thank you for the kind words! We're delighted your daughters enjoy their visits to Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. Our team loves making pediatric dental cleanings fun with the toy machine and playroom. See you at the next appointment!
This is NOT an autism-friendly dentistry, despite what we were told. The waiting room had the TV super loud, and the exam room is one giant room painted bright orange and yellow with multiple kids being treated at the same time. As an autistic mom to a neurodivergent preteen, I felt incredibly sick by the end of my daughter's visit even with noise-cancelling headphones. On top of that, there was a bedbug on the first chair they sat her in, so I quickly asked her to be moved. When staff cleaned the seat, it was super dirty in the crevice where the bedbug had been. Staff was unhelpful overall.
We sincerely apologize for your experience at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. We take your concerns about sensory accommodations and cleanliness very seriously. We are immediately reviewing our waiting room environment and implementing stricter cleaning protocols. Please contact us so we can discuss how to better support your daughter's needs in the future.
I've never had any issues here. They're very patient and kind, and the kids love the atmosphere. There's a beautiful mural in the waiting room along with cute teeth stools and lots of books and puzzles. The exam chairs are colorful and fun. There's also a small playroom that both my kids really like. Great pediatric dentist in Grove City!
Thanks for your review! We're happy your kids enjoy the fun atmosphere at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. Our team strives to make every pediatric dental visit a positive one. See you soon!
My daughter is level 3 autistic and nonverbal. We've been coming here since she was 2, she's now 6, and before today you guys were amazing—patient, kind, and understanding. You walked in knowing exactly what to do. But today I never felt lower. Three people came in the room and not one helped me. Instead they stood there staring at me like I was crazy. When we got her to lay down, the dentist (Courtney) just kept telling Hazel to open her mouth and stop spitting instead of using the finger trick they usually do. We didn't feel supported at all.
We are deeply sorry for your experience today at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. Your daughter's comfort and your support are our top priorities. We will retrain our team on the specific techniques that worked well for her in the past. Please reach out so we can make this right and ensure future visits are positive.
The amount of times the dental assistants have been rude and made snide comments is horrible. Your job is to take care of the teeth of these children, not to shame the mother (who by the way is there alone because dad is at work). The dentist is wonderful though.
I took my three children here for the first time in January of 2024. Every staff member including Jane and Dr. O'Day were very polite, kind and caring. They were extremely professional and all of them were smiling and making small talk with us. They just made us feel welcomed. Thank you for a wonderful visit! We'll see you all in July!
If I could give 0 stars, I most definitely would.
My son’s appointment was for 8am, I got a call a couple days before telling me that someone else had cancelled, my son’s appointment would be for 11am instead. How does that make any sense?
How was his appointment affected just because someone else’s cancelled their appointment, that was HOURS later than my sons…
Ok well I made it clear that my daughter would be in school, and just for a simple check up, it took them almost 2 hours the last time, so I’d told whoever I spoke to, I cannot be there all day as my daughter cannot just be left at school, obviously.
I was told it would only be a couple hours, but that they couldn’t say for sure.
When we arrived there was nobody in the office, just us.
We waited 45min, another mother with her child then came into the office, they went back a couple minutes later.
A woman then came into the office, she went back almost immediately!
(Which I thought odd as I thought this was a children dental office, I could be mistaken, maybe she just looked to be in her 30s, but wasn’t? No idea)
At this point it had been a little over an hour of waiting.
I had my 18mo old son with me as well. He was fussy, my son whose appointment is was, was hungry, they said no food from 11pm the night before, until hours after surgery, yet expect people to make their kids wait hours in the waiting room on top of not have been able to eat since the night before. Had they kept his appt at the time it was originally scheduled for, he would have went all day with no food.
Anyways, I was super annoyed.
When we first got there, I wanted to double check just to be sure, but I asked again would I have to go back with my son, because they said I only needed to go back at first to be sure he got settled then I could go back to the waiting room. So, I doubled checked to be sure that was correct, I was told that was indeed correct, I could go back to the waiting room.
After waiting an hour I started to worry about my daughter getting out of school before my son would even be done, i have nobody to just go pick her up!
I asked how much longer it would be, I was told “We don’t know,” basically.
I called my ride to ask to come get us, it was cutting too close to my daughter needing picked up considering they couldn’t say how much longer in the waiting room, and also it would be hours for the procedure itself.
I told them I would need to reschedule.
The receptionist then went to get the older lady with dark hair, she was sent to come talk me.
I told her about my situation with my daughter and I was told “oh well,” pretty much. That I could not reschedule my son’s appointment since I was already there. I explained that I couldn’t just not pick my daughter up? That is wasn’t okay to leave people in the waiting room that long regardless.
I tried to compromise, as my son really needed that procedure done, he’s been in a lot of pain.
I then AGAIN for the 3rd time, once on the phone, once when I arrived, and now this time, spoke about not going back with my son, but being in the waiting room.
My toddler was hungry, I would have to figure out how to get my daughter from school, I had an appointment of my own over zoom. I couldn’t go back with him the whole time, I’d asked several times to be sure that was okay. Every time, I was told I would not have to go back the whole time.
The older woman with dark hair told me no, I could not come back to the waiting room, I had to stay with him the whole time, and if I left without doing his procedure, I was not allowed to reschedule the appointment.
Now my son has to find a new dentist because of this, because I had to leave due to this bs.
If you like having your time wasted, this is the place for you! If you like being talked down to, give this place a shot. First appointment in March they did a cleaning. Then scheduled my child for dental surgery. That was a nightmare to schedule in and of itself. Finally had it done in July. Then 2 weeks after had a check up appointment. Now end of September had 6 month cleaning scheduled. Office confirmed appointment 4 times and updated new insuance that had changed. Arrived at appointment on time and checked in. Waited 45 minutes (15 min before closing) to be told that they couldnt do appointment because they cleaned her teeth in july during surgery. (They didnt). And even if they did would this not had been known the 4 times we confirmed this appointment or when i checked in? No they forgot us sitting in the waiting room and made excuses. Only noticed us as dentist was leaving! Wasted time and gas. Will not be back. Will be finding new pediatric dentist.
Never even got to make the appointment.. I was trying to make appointment for my 4 year old autistic son and the receptionist Kristi offered a appointment for today at 1:30. I said I couldn't do that because I lived in chillicothe and then explained I'd need a fee days notice so I could have assistance with him and that the only reason I was making such a long drive is because our local pediatric dentist office was shut down. She said " I don't know why any of that is relevant to scheduling a appointment today. What part of I live over a hour a way and have a disabled child that I need to have assistance with do you not understand. I will be going elsewhere.
Took my 3 children to an appointment today. First time our family had been to this dentist. Staff was absolutely Perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
First visit today with all three of our kids (6, 2 & 1 years old) and it went great. The staff were all very nice and friendly and did great with the kids. The dentist we seen (Dr. Emily) seemed very knowledgeable and also super nice! I like the way they have their space set up for the kids and there is a little play room for your other kids to hang out while each child gets their cleaning.
10/10 would recommend!! The Clinical staff and Front desk are super amazing! They explained step by step during the cleaning appointment on what they were doing, what the next steps were on my children's care & it was a super inviting environment. I recommend everyone to come here! They got us in for an appointment so fast compared to other offices.
Great staff all around at this Grove City pediatric dentist. They all make us feel welcome and cared for. The hygienists are great with the kids and helping them feel safe. Dr. Sean was also amazing with my daughter—he made her feel like a star during her dental work. When she first found out she had to go back, she was a little nervous, but the staff made her feel comfortable the whole time. They give you a few treatment options, which is nice. The office is clean and has plenty of kid-friendly things. Highly recommend!
Thank you for your kind words! We're thrilled Dr. Sean and our hygienists made your daughter feel like a star during her pediatric dental care at Grove City Pediatric Dental Associates. We look forward to your next visit!
