Been coming to HDR Dental Offices in Staten Island since 1997, honestly couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Omi makes me feel super comfortable every time, and Elizabeth at the front desk is amazing with scheduling my dental cleanings and exams. They really know how to make you feel at home, which is why I've stuck with them for so long.
Thank you for your loyalty over the years! We're so glad Dr. Omi and Elizabeth have made your dental cleanings comfortable here at HDR Dental Offices in Staten Island, NY. Looking forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
Wish I could give zero stars. Dr. Rosslyn at this Staten Island office was so rude during my procedure - she broke my tooth, held me down, and even burst my lip with the drill. Absolutely terrible experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
We're deeply concerned about your experience with dental procedures at our Staten Island office. This is completely unacceptable at HDR Dental Offices. Please contact our office manager immediately so we can address this serious matter properly.
Honestly, this was the worst dental experience I've ever had in Staten Island. Went in for a cleaning with my insurance, but the dentist claimed he did three fillings that never happened. The place smelled awful, and everyone from the rude receptionist to the dentist was completely unprofessional. Save yourself the trouble and don't come here for any dental services.
We're very sorry to hear about your experience with dental cleanings at our Staten Island office. This doesn't reflect our standards, and we take these concerns seriously. Please contact our manager directly so we can address this properly.
My family's been going to this Staten Island dental office for years, and Dr. Om and Dr. Chainani are both great. But Dr. Rosslyn was another story during my daughter's cleaning - she made rude comments about her brushing and didn't listen when she said the machine was burning. Very unprofessional way to handle pediatric dental care.
Thank you for your feedback about your daughter's pediatric dental care in Staten Island. We're glad Dr. Om and Dr. Chainani provided good care, but we're concerned about Dr. Rosslyn's comments. We'll review this with our team to ensure better patient communication at HDR Dental Offices.
Took my 5-year-old son to HDR Dental Offices in Staten Island last week for a cleaning, and he had a good experience with Dr. Rosin. But when I went for my own cleaning, it was completely different - the tool burned my lips, water was choking me, and she hit sensitive spots twice. She blamed it on my mouth not being open enough, but it was open as far as it could go.
We appreciate you sharing your experiences at our Staten Island office. We're glad your son had a positive dental cleaning, but we're concerned about your visit. Patient comfort during cleanings is important to us at HDR Dental Offices, and we'll address this with our team.
My experience at this Staten Island dentist really depends on the doctor. First time with Dr. Sadina Roselin for a cavity filling was terrible - she was rude, laughed when I said I was in pain, and water spilled down my neck. But I went back and switched to another dentist, and that made all the difference. The dental fillings were handled much better with someone else.
Thank you for giving us another chance at HDR Dental Offices in Staten Island, NY. We're sorry about your initial experience with dental fillings, but we're glad switching dentists helped. We value your continued care and will work to ensure consistent quality.
Been going to this Staten Island dentist for years thanks to my mom, and the dentist is great. But the receptionist never answers calls and messes up appointments constantly. As a busy person, it's frustrating calling 30 times with no answer. They rescheduled me but couldn't confirm. After this, I'll probably find another dentist in the area.
Thank you for your years of trust at HDR Dental Offices in Staten Island, NY. We're sorry about the scheduling issues with dental appointments - we're working to improve our phone system and front desk coordination. We hope you'll consider staying with us.
Hands down the worst dental office I've found in Staten Island. Even with appointments, you'll wait over 40 minutes and might see a different dentist than promised. The staff gossips and swears right in front of patients, and the dentist lacks patience and empathy. Wouldn't recommend anyone get even a basic cleaning here.
We're sorry to hear about your experience at our Staten Island office. Long waits and unprofessional behavior don't meet our standards for dental cleanings or any services. We're addressing these issues to improve patient care at HDR Dental Offices.
I SWEAR TO TELL THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, so help me god.
If you are checking their reviews to decide whether or not you should book an appointment with them let me save you!
DON’T DO IT! I live in the neighborhood and decided to give them a shot even though I read recent negative reviews . I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
like any Dr. visit you would imagine upon walking in you would be greeted or at least instructed by the receptionists. Not here. I walked to the desk and stood there and waited for some sort of communication. Neither of the two receptionist even looked at me. NOTHING. So I said “good morning, I have an appointment” I received the COLDEST STARE I’ve ever seen. She pointed at the sign in sheet and said “sign and sit down” I figured I’d have to at least fill out a form of my medical history or other information considering that it’s my first time there. While sitting there for at least 10 minutes another young man walked in and was greeted and then handed a clip board to fill out. After realizing, I approached the receptionist and asked if I was supposed to fill that out as well. She said yes and I asked her why she didn’t she tell me this when I first walked in. She literally looked me in my eyes and said that she told me she will “help me in a minute when I first walked in”. I immediately called her out on her lie and told them both that they are extremely unprofessional. One told me that I didn’t have to be seen if I didn’t want to. I told her “now, I want to be seen”.
The reason I continued to follow through there entire process was so that I can tell others about my experience. I am confident you would receive the same experience if you decide to go and see for yourselves.
Let’s not forget to mention a young child was there while the two receptionists were cursing up a storm talking about someone they spoke on the phone with.
After waiting for about 30 minutes I was called in by a nice young man who walked me to the first X-ray machine and asked how was I. I did tell him not to well and began explaining my experience. He was very professional. During that brief conversation. The daughter of one of the disrespectful receptionists jumped in the conversation and said “it doesn’t matter what you say or do, she won’t get fired bc she is that manager”. I asked her if she was her lawyer and she walked away. I didn’t find out that she was the daughter until after my visit.
I must say that the Young man and the X-ray technician was a breath of fresh air and did not belong working in that horrible place.
The dental hygienist, BLESS HER HEART. But, in her words alone. She is too old. She made sure to tell me that she is getting old. She is a beautiful soul. But in my opinion, she no longer has the cognitive ability to facilitate the tools necessary in completing the task of cleaning and inspecting someone’s mouth. Her hands were shaking in my mouth and it was not comfortable compared to other visits throughout my life.
When I was finally able to meet the dr.
The dr. Is only there for the money and literally does not care much. I am not sure if he is the nephew or younger brother of the original owner, Dr Chainani , I know Dr. Chainani bc I’ve done business with him quite some years ago. Once I had the opportunity I let the dr. know about the front staff. He cut me off and told me that he will talk to me after the visit is done. It was a brief checking. After the visit I asked if we can discuss the experience. He cut me off and said “no, I will give you the main #” and you can call and discuss with them.
I called, several times, NO ANSWER.
The front desk receptionists and the dental hygienist should be eradicated from the establishment .
One ⭐️ is wayyy too much for them. Trust me when I tell you. This experience felt like a horrible movie scene.
Had a horrible experience at this Staten Island dental office. The receptionist kept having personal conversations while people waited, and those with later appointments got called before me. The dentist never introduced herself, tried to stretch my mouth painfully wide, and brushed off when I said it hurt. When she claimed I needed more work and I refused, she seemed mad. Don't waste your time here.
We apologize for your negative experience with dental services at our Staten Island location. Patient comfort and proper scheduling are priorities at HDR Dental Offices, and we'll review these concerns with our team to prevent similar issues.
The front desk lady at this Staten Island dental office is the rudest and most unprofessional I've ever encountered. We waited 40 minutes for our appointment before she remembered to tell us the doctor wasn't coming. Instead of apologizing for not calling to cancel yesterday, she acted like it wasn't her fault. They sent a confirmation instead of a cancellation and didn't seem to care at all.
We apologize for the scheduling mix-up and wait time at our Staten Island office. This isn't how we want patients to experience dental care at HDR Dental Offices. We're reviewing our cancellation procedures to ensure better communication with patients.
If I could give a -10000 star I would !!!!! . Even 1 star is tooo much !!!. Starting with the front desk/manager horrible greet , very very rude!!! To the wait of over 2 hours , un except-able!!! I myself work with appointments and understand that sometimes you can not always run on time , but never has anyone waited over 2 hours for my service . What is the point of an appionment then ???? Then to have the hygienist/ dentist not even introduce who she is , no professionalism what so ever !!!! The hygienist did a supposed cleaning with a water pick!!! She was done in 6 min maybe less . My god I cant wrap my head around this entire experience.!!! Will definitely not be returning!!!! To my understanding the owner Dentist was not in for the day so I believe that when the cat is out the mice have fun . They should be more aware of who they hire for their business . Also a shout out to a young dental assistant Santos, which was trying the best to keep up with everything nicely , but definitely not able to in that toxic environment !!!
It was my first and last time here. It started off as a good experience but once I got to the female doctor she was very rude. She never introduced herself to me she just stared at me from outside the room. After a few minutes she came to the room and mumbled something. When I said excuse me ? She laughed and asked for my name.
I felt like I was being racially discriminated by her. I am Hispanic and when I told her I do speak English ma’am she laughed and said yeah of course you do.
She treated me very rude, kept making remarks, and even at the end she treated me like I was illiterate.
I don’t make reviews on google but no one should be treated the way that I was with this female doctor at this place. It’s sad to see that one person ruins the image of this dentist office because the dental assistants were very nice.
Will never go back and I definitely do not recommend anyone to come here.
Place was very clean but a little unprofessional. How? Well I arrived a half hour early for my appointment. They literally had me sitting there another hour just for another patients daughter to go first because she had “work” so I was skipped and then they gave me forms to fill out instead of giving it to me right when I first arrived and I also didn’t like the room was placed in. They had the door open and someone was literally sitting in front of the door looking at the assistant taking pictures of my teeth and then when the Dr came to talk me and they possibly heard our conversation and he didn’t even shut the door. Disappointing.
I recommend this dentist to anyone. The staff consists of wonderful ladies who are always willing to help. In the last year, I’ve needed referrals, emergency work on a broken tooth etc. and was provided prompt service. The dentist Chainani is professional, gentle and patient. He provides you with clear explanation of what is getting done or recommended.
My spouse and family come see Dr. Chainani and we have all been pleased with the office staff and services.
(I saw a review regarding reminders to appointments, they text reminders so as long as you’re giving correct telephone numbers or updating them, you’ll get a text message when it’s made and to remind you. ☺️)
Genesis, it’s always a pleasure. Thank you.
Dr. Chainani DDS and DMD are very nice and have great dental skills. They are friendly, listen to your needs, and take their time with you if your afraid. However, I had mixed feelings about meeting the new doctor, Dr. Raj on her first day. She has not a lot of people skills. She did not introduce herself and is rough however her knowledge is good. She did explain to me things other doctors haven’t.
Doctor Chainani is the BEST. He does both of my son's teeth so well. He takes his time & does a thorough cleaning. He has done several cavities & cleanings on me as well & I never had any pain or lose a filling. I give this doctor a 10. We have been a patient of him fpr 5 years!!
Thanks for your continued support Jennifer !
I ended up at this office due to an error BUT it was no mistake! Exemplary treatment by a cohesive, professional yet family - friendly staff. My children were allowed to watch my treatment in preparation for their future treatment. I look coarse forward to going back for all of my dental needs.
Job well done!
Thanks Syretta, It was great meeting you and the family
I just moved back to the island and was a bit apprehensive about finding a new dentist. I'm so thankful that I did my research and came across Dr. Chainani. The office is cozy, yet spotless, and well maintained. His staff is super professional, personable, efficient and caring. They completely had me at ease before I even sat in the dentist's chair. I really appreciated that. The sweet lady who took my x-rays (which is usually the first part I dread, lol) was so gentle, and understanding of my jitters. The dentist was also very professional, gentle, and efficient. He answered all my questions, and kept me informed while he worked. Plus, he's easy on the eyes, which never hurts.:) I would recommend them to anyone. Especially to those who fear the dentist, yet, know you have to go.
Thanks Kristen we look forward to continuing your care!
I have been going to this dental clinic for years. I was previously treated by Dr. Ashok Chainani who so knowledgeable.
The main guy now is Dr. Om Chainani, he is a young energetic caring dentist! He always greets patients with a smile on his face and is always willing to see people and accommodating last minute emergency appointments.
Throughout any procedure, Dr. Om is attentive and continuously checks in on the patient to make sure they are well and also explains the different steps he is doing. He gives clear after care recommendations.
The clinic accepts most insurance and has late hours and Saturday appointments
Thank you Arti for your continued support !
