It might be pricey if you're out of network, but for me with my Medicare Advantage plan, it's worked out fine. They've handled everything from routine exams to more complex stuff like crowns.

Switched to this place for a new dentist. First visit, Dr. Kim strongly pushed me to get my wisdom teeth out even though I had no pain. I went ahead. A few months later, my second molar started hurting, and they said it was 'bad' and needed replacing—quoted $8,200. They wanted me to do it right away without even waiting for insurance pre-auth. Felt really pressured and not listened to. Not a good experience overall.

Dr. Kim is an outstanding dentist. I've been going to his practice since around 2018. I had previously had two fillings done by another dentist when I first moved to Stamford and both cracked within 2-3 weeks. I went to Dr. Kim who replaced the fillings and I have had zero issues for ~6 years. He uses advanced technology (lasers to remove and sterilize cavities instead of drills when they can be avoided). Staff is professional, hygienists do a great job. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for years. Dr kim is amazing, efficient, funny, and comfortable. He has taken care of my teeth from regular check ups to major teeth surgery. Have my whole family going to him now. As for Eric, the dental hygienist, nothing but amazing, detailed and efficient can be said. Both men are excellent at their respected jobs and let me not for get the front staff. They are patient funny and caring. I knew he was very capable just by speaking. He never rushed,but I could tell that he had excellent experience and was good with his hands and tools working on me. Just moved to Stamford and needed a new dentist. The whole staff was super friendly. Came in for a cleaning and X-rays—standard first visit stuff. They found I needed some additional work and got me scheduled just two days later, which was really convenient. The office seems to be upgrading equipment; most of it looked new. Parking is easy too. Been twice now and I'm happy with my visits—as happy as you can be going to the dentist! Would recommend High Ridge Family Dental to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.
