Honestly, from the moment I walked into Ideal Dental Mooresville to when I left, the whole team was just so kind. The front desk was pretty busy when I got there, but they never made me feel like I was bothering them - super welcoming! I was pretty nervous about my dental needs, but they didn't judge me at all. We made a plan together, and they did a fantastic job explaining everything clearly about my general dentistry care. Couldn't be happier with this Mooresville dentist!

The staff and Dr. Salem at Ideal Dental Mooresville were all very nice, but things felt pretty unorganized and rushed at times, even though I was there nearly 2 hours for an exam and cleaning. They don't have a hygienist, so the dentist does the cleaning. The method and order of the cleaning and exam was different than any other dentist I've been to in Mooresville. I was there almost an hour just for x-rays and pictures, then the exam, then polishing, then the cleaning, then flossing... it just dragged on.

I recently visited Ideal Dental in Mooresville and was told I had an infection in one tooth and that one of my front teeth was “pushing out.” I was informed that both teeth would need to be pulled and that there was no way to save them. I was also quoted a treatment plan totaling $11,000 and told I needed antibiotics. They strongly pushed me to begin treatment that same day.
I declined because I wanted time to think—and despite being told I had an infection, I was never given antibiotics.
I later went to another dentist for a second opinion. He was shocked that I hadn’t been prescribed antibiotics and strongly disagreed with the recommendation to pull the teeth. He explained that a root canal could save them and that there was no reason to remove teeth that can be treated. He literally shook his head when I told him what Ideal Dental had said.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Ideal Dental in Mooresville. It felt like they were more focused on expensive treatments than on preserving my teeth or providing appropriate care.

She made me feel so comfortable. She’d taken the fear away. I mean, I am so scared of needles!!!! She talked me through it and now. I have no fear coming to their dental office!!!! Today we had our first dental visit with Ideal Dental on 370 Talbert Road in Mooresville, and I just had to take the time to write this review—because reviews truly help me when I’m choosing a place!
This visit was actually spur of the moment. My grandson was having tooth pain, and since we’re new to the community and hadn’t yet established a dentist, we decided to stop by after seeing Ideal Dental while driving past. Even without checking reviews first, we called and were able to get an appointment right away.
To our pleasant surprise, the entire experience was phenomenal from the friendly front desk team to the caring clinicians. We saw Kacee and Dr. Umum (apologies if I misspelled the doctor’s name), and they were both extremely professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely sincere—not the kind of “fake friendly” you sometimes encounter. The issue was quickly diagnosed and treated, and my grandson left feeling much better.
We will definitely be keeping Ideal Dental as our primary dentist. Kudos 👏🏾 to the entire Ideal Dental team keep up the great work! So if your on the fence go ahead and schedule your appointment I promise you will not be disappointed.

I went in as an emergency visit. Dr. Salem’s staff is wonderful. I had lost a filling and was in extreme pain. At first it seemed to be an easy solution but ended in an immediate tooth extraction. I couldn’t have asked for a better dental assistant to walk me thru the process and make me feel I was in good hands. Madelyn & Maddie are pleasant and welcoming at the front of the office. Madelyn knows her stuff when it comes to finances. She helped me a great deal. Although, they may still be working out some “ kinks”, I was extremely pleased with my experience at Ideal Dental and intend to keep them as my Primary Dentist. 🦷 Thank you Dr. Salem and staff!! 👍🏼 May you prosper in the New Year at your New Location!!! 🎉🎊
