Great experience every time. Dr. Shaygan takes good care of my teeth with restorative dentistry and cleanings. His team makes sure I am doing all I need to keep my teeth in good shape. I love these guys, I've been going to them for 27 years. I moved an hour away but I still make the drive cause they're that good.

The front desk here in Irvine is amazing—super friendly, warm, and really knowledgeable. I had a teeth cleaning done today with Salome, and I’m honestly so pleased; it was great. Last time I saw her, it was just as good. Dr. Shaygan himself is also really warm, friendly, and does excellent restorative dentistry work. The whole medical team is fantastic, and I’d totally recommend them. The only downside? Prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for.

This dentist is not good at all. Farzad Shayan did a terrible job cleaning and filling my mom's teeth and was insulting and disrespectful. He behaves very unethically and rudely with patients. My mom was traumatized for a long time because of his bad behavior. I do not recommend him. We have changed my mom's dentist.
I've been going to Dr.Shaygan's office since I was a kid and I'd first like to say that the front desk staff is always amazing, attentive, and caring. To start, I was complaining of tooth pain a couple months back, had x rays done and re-done many times and was never told anything was amiss. I went to another dentist/orthodontist because the pain and swelling got much worse, who told me I had a cavity so bad I would need a root canal (which is uncommon for someone my age considering i'm in my 20s). This is something Dr. Shaygan should've noticed when my x-rays were taken showing the initial cavity. I got the root canal done by another doctor (who did a wonderful job) and came back to Dr.Shaygan's office for my temporary and permanent crown placement.
I was having discomfort with my permanent crown (placed at the beginning of the month) so I went to another dentist who took x-rays and noted that I would need an entirely new crown (which would cost me another $680 on top of the ~$700 I already paid for this one) because there is gapping at the bottom of the tooth, which can cause my root canal to be infected. The two molars next to the crowned tooth have been chipped at due to the crown placement and the tooth directly next to it needs a filling, which was never told to me at Dr. Shaygan's office. This is exactly why I ended up needing a root canal, because my other cavity got so bad without being noted.
My new dentist was shocked I had this crown placed less than a month ago. I now need to pay for an entirely new crown and fixing the chipped molars next to it, which I cannot even afford at the moment because I saved my money to spend on the crown this office placed. It sucks to have to write this review because the office staff and dental assistants have been so sweet to me but I feel like my concerns just weren't handled and the crown placement was done so poorly that my teeth and wallet are suffering for it. I should've never gone back to this office in the first place.
Dr. Shaygan and his team are some of the best in Irvine. I was referred by my insurance and that is always a little nerve wracking because you never know who you will get. Lucky for me, I got Dr. Shaygan and I’d come here even if they were out of network for me. They are so kind and accommodating. My entire family is treated here and there’s no where we would rather go. I’ve had A LOT of dental work through various dentists and specialists and I’ll tell you that Dr. Shaygan is the best by a mile!!!!

My family of 5 started seeing Dr. Farzad early summer of 2022. So far, they have my admiration on many fronts: excellent customer service at front desk, utmost professionalism by Dr. Farzad and his staff, extremely accommodating of our unusually tight scheduling needs (both in terms of last-minute appointments and flexibility in adding/postponing services or rescheduling). I had a case of horrible tooth ache and because I was coming from another state, they were able to squeeze my appointment for the exact date I needed. The diagnosis process was fast and easy, we discussed all my options and possible treatments and soon I was on my way to healing. They referred me to two other specialist who were also swift and efficient, and before the end of the week, I had all the work finished and a long-term care plan in place. Dr. Farzad also has a great sense of humor (I saw somebody's comment about him "mocking," which I think might have been misconstrued). My husband had a bad experience with another local dentist and asked me to find a new one to switch to, and we could not be happier. Our three adult kids also had regular visits for cleaning and overall evaluation and every one of them went perfectly fine. I would highly recommend Dr. Farzad and his office, as well as his associated specialists Dr. Samuel Ahdout (perio and implants) and Dr. Mary J Um (endodontics). Fantastic team! Bravissimi!!!!

He is one of the worst. After spending 2 hours in his office, I came out without any treatment regarding tooth filing. He spent 2 minutes and didn’t do anything except mocking. All doctors welcoming patients but he did not hello me back. He mocked me about the time I got brace and then left without informing me he wants to schedule for another time. I am happy he didn’t as he doesn’t have any expertise.
Amazing customer service! They care about their customers. I came in fora teeth cleaning and it went great. A month ago i also got a porcelain crown and it looks phenomenal. They got the color perfect.

I started seeing Dr. Shaygan after beginning some new insurance. I have admittedly failed to pursue regular dental care for a while so I required a deep cleaning and two fillings. After my initial consultation and x-rays, I felt comfort with Dr. Shaygan and his entire staff. I have been seeing Dr. Shaygan for over 26 years! He has always been knowledgeable and honest in all the care my teeth have required over the years, from dental exams to fillings, and I trust him immensely. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with office personnel during past 2-3 visits. The lady in charge had attitude and not friendly at all. They messed up my husband appointment and argued with him instead of analogizing. Also, I had my daughter checked but the dentist didn't even bother to come out side and give me a report so, I had to request to give me a brief report. Not professional at all.
