This practice is only interested in money, not care. They try to upsell you for all sorts of things. Yet after a cleaning, the actual dentist is never available for an exam. No insurance accepted, fees are exorbitant and front desk disorganized. Avoid!

From the moment you walk into JBL in New York City, you're greeted so warmly and professionally. Adrianna at the front desk and Gina who assists Dr. Mac both go above and beyond. But what changed my life was Dr. Mac's treatment - with his vast knowledge, he eliminated jaw pain I'd lived with for years through what I understand was myofunctional therapy. JBL is the place that got me over my fear of the dentist. They were able to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment because of a chipped tooth that happened over the weekend. The practice is very calming and all of the staff is amazing. It feels like a luxury experience. I’ve been coming here for years and now one year out until my wedding I’m excited to enhance my smile!

Marcella and Merlixse were just two of the receptionists that stood out. Dr. Levine is super charismatic and very professional. Dr. Amanda Abrams, went the extra mile to not only do a great job, but make me feel comfortable the whole time while getting work done. As someone who has had nothing but bad experiences at a dentist office, It was a whole new world coming into contact with JBL. Even if I live on Long Island, I will be making the commute to come visit this office every time.

First let me say that I am beyond terrified of dentists as my experience has never been amazing BUT my experience at JBL was out of this world!
The space is small but very organized almost like we were in Japan with all space being used in the most efficient of ways functionally but also visually. It’s a beautiful office!
The staff was beyond welcoming, friendly & overall so comforting even before they knew how nervous I was.
Add to that the #JBLafterhours program which is a much needed void in dentistry in NYC!
My cleaning appointment was at 6pm on a Thursday so allowed me to finish up work & then head over. I wish more dentists thought of this!
My hygienist was Jessica, I HIGHLY recommend her but also I’m sure all of the other hygienists are fantastic as well. That’s definitely the vibe I got as they came in & out by the reception area. All of the staff said hello & engaged even though I wasn’t the person they were scheduled to work with.
I was offered something to drink which included a lovely white wine. I felt so pampered!
As for my cleaning, no words can explain how easy & delightful this experience was. Jessica was very informative on what we were going to do before starting, during & after she explained what she saw that needed attention & gave me props for doing a good job taking care of my teeth & gums but also gave me advice on how to continue making sure they stay healthy. I’ve never been to a dentist that was so forward thinking on giving me advice & tools for keeping my teeth happy & healthy! I have always felt like I was just a number & “Bye, see you at your next cleaning!”
