I've been a patient of Dr. Ridella for years. A few months ago, an old crown from another dentist came loose over a holiday weekend. I tried dental glue from a local pharmacy but it didn't help—I couldn't eat or sleep. First thing Monday, I called the Johnstown office and they saw me immediately. They gave me three options, one being a root canal. Dr. Ridella explained everything clearly and made the whole restorative dentistry process smooth. Really grateful for their quick care.

Honestly, I was a bit nervous going in, but Dr. Ridella is super laid back and made me feel at ease. Didn't feel any pain at all during my dental cleaning in Johnstown, PA. When I moved to Johnstown, I wanted a dentist I could trust and a hygienist as good as my old one. Found both in Dr. Ridella and Jamy! I've had long-standing issues with my teeth and gums, but for the first time, my dental cleaning wasn't painful. Jamy is thorough and taught me effective cleaning techniques. I had pain from receding gums and needed a cleaning. Had to wait on a waiting list, but it was worth it. Had my appointment today in Johnstown and it was great. But here, my hygienist April is so kind and gentle. She explains everything thoroughly without belittling me—other dentists used to just scold me. Dr. Ridella is great too. Worst experience of my life with a dentist. I have severe generalized anxiety disorder and have been sick since this procedure. Been seeing Dr. Ridella for a couple years. Had a tooth filled between my gum line and tooth. Had severe pain after novacine wore off. Went back three days later and he looked at my tooth and said nothing was wrong. He told me several times I will have to be sedated anytimeI have any dental work done because I yelled when he hit a nerve while injecting the Novacaine. Other people in the office that worked there were very rude to me saying that because of the way I yelled that I couldn’t come back there and I need to be sedated by an endodontist. That is complete BS. tried calling the office several days later to say I was still having pain, but they would not see me. Told me I needed to go to an endodontist. Another week went by so I just stopped in the office. Dr. Ridella did some test on my tooth and said that I have a fractured tooth. While I was there, he said several times that I would need to be sedated due to my reaction to the Novacaine. The only reason I yelled a bit because of the pain was because he had a nerve and it really hurt. He treated me like I was some kind of nuisance and I was crazy for yelling in pain. Ended up in the emergency room three times and iCare a couple times. Went to Aspen dental. They took x-rays since Dr. Ridella’s office never did one after I was complaining of pain and they found it strange that all the sudden my tooth is fractured after he worked on it when it was fine before. They said they have people yell when they had a nerve all the time and that’s a normal reaction. Dr. Ridella said my reaction was like I was being severely traumatized . He blew it way out of proportion and made me sound like I was crazy for making a noise while he hit a nerve. He said he hit a nerve while doing the procedure, but yet when I went back, he said he never hit a nerve. Now I have to go to and endodontist because Dr. Ridella said I probably need a root canal from my tooth all of a sudden being fractured. My tooth was completely fine before he filled in my gum line. Now I will have to pay money out of my pocket because I only have so much money to be used towards the dentist and my anxiety has been non stop making me sick. Beware if you go to him because you will be humiliated and told you overreacted to having a nerve being hit or if you make any kind of noise that is somewhat loud. You will be looked down on and made to feel like you’re an idiot and they will send you elsewhere so they don’t have to deal with you. He fractured my tooth and doesn’t want to have anything to do with it.
Staff very friendly and Dr is very efficient. I was having severe pain from a bottom molar. I called and the staff was able to schedule a same day appointment. Dr diagnosed the problem and performed a root canal the same day. No more pain! Thank you to all.

Very organized team! I have been going to dentists for Years, and don't like visiting any medical/dental appointments. Uneasy for me. But, Dr Ridella is especially calming and shows respect for his patients needs. The staff is supportive and friendly. They also feature many dental procedures.
Remarkable, organized and friendly staff. The establishment is welcoming and easy to find; wheelchair accessibility and personal accommodations can be made. The experience was different from other Dentists that I have been to. I felt more at ease and comfortable here than other places. I am more than pleased with the appointments I have had here.
Greeted in a warm and friendly manner, as always by the staff upon arrival. Was escorted back for my appointment right on schedule. Once again greeted in a cordial and friendly manner. Received a through and pain free cleaning and examination. Once this process was completed; Dr. Ridella performed his evaluation in a professional and courteous manner. Checked-out and was on my way to work in 45 minutes. Great experience!!!
