I just had my first dental visit in a long while, and I found him through a friend. I saw great reviews and was somewhat calmed but I was very anxious going in to see Dr. Kim. He immediately put me at ease by answering all my questions and concerns. He also has amazingly gentle hands and didn't experience any pain. Never thought I'd enjoy a dental visit, but here we are! Dr. Joseph Kim did the implant surgeries for both mom and Dad. He also shaved down a protruding bone area that was congenital in dad for a better and more comfortable bite. Dr. Kim was very courteous, patient and kind in the many visits we had here. Thank you so much to him and his staff! Experience at the office was fantastic. First of all easy and ample parking is available. Office is modern and very clean. Front desk was welcoming. The hygienist was the best I ever experience, she was gentle but thorough. Dr. Kim is very friendly, explained the process and steps for getting a crown. He is very skilled and efficient and got the procedure done faster than I expected. Overall the best dental experience!

Amazing customer service, out of my 26 years of living in the Bay Area this is the best dentistry I have gone to. The dentist is kind and compassionate and does excellent quality work.
The best dental office I've been to. I've been coming to Smile Plant for over 2 years and Dr. Kim always makes me comfortable and work together to address my dental concerns. My teeth always feel so clean after routine cleanings, they have never felt healthier! The staff is very friendly with greeting you and scheduling, and I've never had an issue with my insurance. Also, price is very reasonable compared to other dentists.

Professional and friendly for all the staffs in the office. Dr. Kim has excellent skill, my implant procedure only takes 20 min. I finished the procedure by 10:00 AM and I came back to the office to have a meeting at 11:00AM. That's how efficient they are here in Cupertino. Highly recommend for anyone needing dental implants.

Dr. Joseph cares and provides the best advice and path forward. He is honest, knowledgeable and dependable. His fillings and crowns had been intact with no further complications for over 10 years and counting. Hygienist Nora is amazing. I told her about sensitive teeth and front teeth fillings. She lowered the frequency of the US cleaner even though it takes longer. She did polishing first on the front teeth to see if polishing cleans most of the stains. She came up with these solutions at the expense of her own time at the end of the day. She went above and beyond.

I have had six implants with Dr. Kim and I am very happy with the outcome. Also, the staff are very efficient and courteous.

First, this review is about 2.5 years overdue. I had Dr. Joseph S. Kim provide me with an implant about 2.5 years ago. Dr. Kim is very professional, patient, and knowledgeable. His office had the most current equipment from X-rays to digital imaging. The implant has been incredible. I've never lacked confidence to eat anything since I've had the implant. Cosmetically, it looks great. And, functionally, it feels like a real tooth is there. My insurance from work didn't cover the implant because it's considered a cosmetic application. It's worth every penny I paid for the dental work!
About two months after I received the implant, I had a bridge done by my regular dental office that my insurance pays for. I've got to honestly say that Im not half as pleased with their work compared to the implant I received from Dr. Kim.
Recently, I spoke with my dentist about some issues I've been having with the bridge. He told me what approach he could take to remedy it. In short, I didn't trust things to go as smoothly as he tried to make it seem. I decided to go back to Dr. Kim for a second opinion. Dr. Kim was friendly as ever and performed an exam before giving me his recommendation. He actually talked me into keeping the bridge while also building my confidence in the durability of the bride going forward. When I asked him about some possible contact issues between the bridge and my bottom teeth, he told me there really wasn't any contact being made -- which my actual dentist didn't tell me was happening. In other words, rather than taking the opportunity to just make money off of me, Dr. Kim unselfishly gave me an honest diagnosis that benefitted me, not him!
I STRONGLY recommend Dr. Joseph S. Kim for all of your dental needs. A dentist you can trust with your mouth -- and your wallet.
This office is very clean with modern setup and equipment. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The work quality done is good as they guarantee their work. Both my wife and I had our implants/crowns done by Dr. Joseph Kim. He is an excellent dentist and very well mannered with a great disposition. We referred our daughter-in-law for her implant here as well, which she received. All staff members are equally lovely. They are always quite busy with a lot of clients. Dr. Kim has another dental clinic in Santa Cruz as well and he splits his time between the two.
Dr. Kim's skincare line, R828, with his dermatologist partner is another product we recommend, all made in Korea. Very hydrating and creamy with no fragrance. We purchased in the clinic but you can also buy it on Amazon.

Dr. Kim spent time to inspect my father's tooth situation (not good) and explained thoroughly to my father (80+). Then he provide plenty options for treatment plan. My father ended up with having one empty slug implanted on the first visit. Dr. Kim did a quick and smooth jobs. Dr. Kim communicate with me in English with no problems. Then for Chinese patients, there is a nice lady there who is Chinese Karen. She can give you smooth interpretation between Chinese and Dr. Kim. She is also knowledgeable and can provide you with good suggestions based on options provided by Dr. Kim.
The cost? Best by far in Bay Area. How does less than 1/2 of the norm sound? We were not even referred by any one. We just saw the ad from Chinese newspapers. But we are glad that we found Dr. Kim. He is not only nice and warm to people, he seems to be very skillful too because he's done ton's of implant works. I recommend Dr. Kim to my relatives and friends without reserve.
I had my wisdom removed today and wow doctor Kim did excellent job he numb it very well and he told me there going be pressure so I was prepared 6 min later I didn’t even know it was removed and done . He even let me relax til I got better . Dr.Kim is the best dentist I have ever been too
