My husband and I chose Midlands Pediatric Dentistry in Lexington, SC, because of their great reviews. But our experience on March 23, 2026, was completely different. For almost a decade, my non-verbal autistic son with sensory issues had been a patient there. When he was little, we made it work, but as he became a teenager, visits got more stressful. That day, my family and I were treated disrespectfully at a professional medical facility. I never thought I'd write a negative review, but this was unacceptable. We needed special needs dentistry and sedation options, but instead got poor treatment.

Couldn't have been more satisfied with this practice and my son's first dental visit! The front staff were nice and welcoming. The waiting room was super kid-friendly. The hygienist was sweet and gave my son toys to play with to make him comfortable. She even had Bluey playing in the room. The dentist was friendly, didn't rush, and made sure we were both comfortable. We'll absolutely continue coming here! Highly recommend!

If you seeing this, I highly recommend!! When I was growing up I loved my experiences with Midlands Pedestrians Dentistry, they brought awareness to eyes of why I should take care of my teeth, now I love taking care of my teeth lol. Even though I was nervous, I was always excellent come back.
Now that I’m a little older with my own children, i came back so my little can experience the same kind of joy for their teeth . I wanted them to learn and love to take care of them.
After their first visit, my oldest son been keeping up with his teeth every day, my youngest in a learn process we getting there😅.
But Thank you all for my experience and my children’s first experience. They loved it! Everyone is so polite, patient, very respectful and helpful while we were there!
This was the first and only pediatric dentistry i have took my son to and it was the best experience!! The setting, the staff were so welcoming and nice! They have an arcade for kids and even had an activity for kids to find an item that is hidden and if found they get their name in for a drawing! I was so stun away by the service that I, myself, at 36 wanted to become a patient there! If you want great service and staff please go here!
My son had the best experience at Midland in Lexington! My son is level 2 autistic and he was able to get his teeth looked at, cleaned & brushed for the first time at a dental office ! He usually needs to be sedated because he struggles with unfamiliar objects & tooth brushing. I’m so happy with the customer service & patient/understanding. My son having a non traumatic experience is detrimental for his development and so grateful I found this location. 5 star ⭐️
This is hands down the best dentist office around. Everyone is wonderful from the kind helpful ladies at the desk, the wonderful smiling ladies in the back to the kind knowledge dentist. My son loves going to the arcade room before and after his appointment. The only thing I would change if I could change anything at this office would be that they would see adults too because I would definitely be a patient myself. Wonderful wonderful dentist office, I highly recommend this office to anyone seeking a dentist for their child. I wish I could give more stars because they deserve more than 5.
Update: I still highly recommend this pediatric dentist and his staff! My daughter had something wrong with her gums/jaw. I thought maybe it was her molars and I was being overly anxious, or potentially a tumor (due to family history). I decided to have her seen, even though I was embarrassed I was over reacting. The front office staff got her in the office within 2 days of my call. The hygienist and dentist took my concern so seriously. They even added on an X-ray to be thorough. They didn’t make me seem overly anxious at all and took all my concerns to heart. My daughter will be fine and I left with a prescription. I am so impressed!
We are always in and out quickly, the entire staff is friendly, and I’m pleased with the care my kids receive. They also always get a little baggie of goodies with each visit. My kids actually enjoy going to the dentist! I highly recommend Midlands Pediatric Dentistry.

I highly recommend this dentistry! The atmosphere is centered around children. Every room has artwork, colorful walls, and interesting items. TVs play kids' movies in the lobby, rooms, and dental chair area. They even have an arcade game room! But better than that, Mr. Shoun and his team are fantastic with kids. They make the sometimes uncomfortable visit exciting and inviting. My children have enjoyed coming here for years. Highly recommend!

My baby had her first dentist appointment here and we loved the experience from start to finish. The facility was clean, with TVs playing kid-friendly movies, arcade games, and games for toddlers. Staff from front desk to dentist were helpful and friendly. The hygienist was the BOMB!! She made my baby comfortable, explained everything, and when we said we're fluoride-free, she switched gears with the cleaning. My baby left happy!

This office in Lexington, SC was amazing. They truly cater to young kids and made mine feel at home. My kid wouldn't let his last dentist do anything, but here they were patient. We're switching permanently. They gave him sunglasses and toys to make him comfortable—added to the whole experience. It was awesome, especially since dental visits can be hard on kids. I'd recommend this pediatric dentist to anyone!

My son isn't great at the dentist but they were very kind and very understanding. They made the visit quick but efficient. This is the reason we moved to this office because not everyone can handle a child with a disability but this staff has always been great since day one. Highly recommend them!

5 star service!! 5 star facility!! 5 star dentist and staff!! Everything runs smoothly at this office and it's kept so clean. Staff is welcoming and kid-friendly. From setting up an appointment to the actual day, it's a pleasant experience. They even communicate via text or email—a nice extra most offices don't offer. Update! Went back for a cleaning and some concerns—from front to back, everyone was great! Everything's always super cutely decorated for the holidays. Christina especially was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING with my daughter ❤️ Couldn't be happier with this dentist office!!!! Thank you guys for being so great! Everyone was super nice. My daughter can be tough, especially at the dentist, but they were wonderful. Glad we got referred here—best pediatric dentist I've been to (she's 5). They're very understanding and keep kids busy with awesome movies and pick out sunglasses.
