The only downside to New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown is how busy they are. There's just one dentist, but he's really good. The first time I had a tooth pulled, the numbing started wearing off before he finished. But the second time, he used less needles and more numbing, so it was easy. Also, one older assistant kinda puts you upside down—I just sat up since I can't lay flat. Overall, worth it for the quality.
Thanks for your honest feedback. At New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown, we always aim to make extractions as comfortable as possible. We'll keep working on timing and numbing to improve your experience. Hope to see you again!
Was put on hold for 20 minutes. When the lady came back, she hung up before I could respond. You'll also wait hours past your appointment time, so don't make plans that day.
We apologize for the poor phone experience at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We're training our staff to handle calls better and reduce hold times. Your feedback helps us improve.
Wonderful place! They put my daughter at ease, and everyone was so nice and caring. Turns out her previous dentist did a terrible job, but I know they'll fix her up here. So personable and informative. Thanks a million from the bottom of my heart—I truly appreciate you all!
Thank you for trusting us with your daughter's care at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We're glad we could help after her previous experience. We'll take great care of her and her orthodontic treatment!
He is the best dentist I have had. In the Johnstown area, he helps restore your teeth, I have been to many dentist before and they lie, not Dr here he really does try to help in anyway he can....thank yu.
Every crown I got here fell out. He did root canal after root canal. My jaw is shot from the drill force. Staff never pays attention and always talks. I don't recommend this place unless you want lifelong pain that can't be fixed. Takes all day just to get in.
We're sorry to hear about your negative experience at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We take quality of care seriously and will review our procedures for crowns and root canals. Please contact us so we can address your concerns directly.
I've had several visits with Dr. Pollina and his staff over the past year. This is an excellent established practice with professionalism and care for patient sensitivities. Highly recommend.
Thanks for the kind words! We're glad you've had great experiences at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We look forward to taking care of your dental needs, from cleanings to crowns.
I had a great experience. The staff was nice and the dentist took care of my issue right away. Thanks New Dimensions!
Do NOT go here. They're always accepting new patients for a reason. I went a while back and saw a sign about being short-staffed. The tiny waiting room was packed, people kept coming in, but no one came out. A guy asked the receptionist how long his brother would be—they'd been there 2 hours already. Huge red flag.
We're sorry for your experience at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We know wait times have been an issue, and we're working on staffing to improve. Your feedback helps us get better.
Went here when I was 14-17. They always insisted I needed fillings with no visible cavities and without x-rays. In the 26 years since, I've maybe had 2 cavities, and those were from leaking fillings they did.
We're sorry to hear about your experience at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We take diagnostic accuracy seriously and will review our procedures. Thank you for sharing your concerns.
Like sam great guy does my teeth well and he is long but does a great job and the nurses are great to. he gets me in and done quick any issues with pain or hurting i call back and he gets me in right away to look.
I was a patient of Dr. Pollina's. Now I have a dental emergency—my tooth broke and I have the piece. I've been calling non-stop for over three hours since they opened. I'm going to lose this tooth because they can't answer the phone. Voicemail box is full. Utterly ridiculous and unprofessional.
We sincerely apologize for your experience at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We understand dental emergencies are urgent and are working to improve our phone system. Please call us back or visit for prompt care.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pollina for years, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional care I’ve received! From the moment you walk into the office, the warm, welcoming atmosphere puts you at ease. Dr. Pollina is incredibly skilled, professional, and genuinely caring, taking the time to explain every procedure clearly and ensuring I’m comfortable throughout. Whether it’s a routine cleaning or more complex dental work, his expertise and attention to detail always leave me confident in my dental care. The staff is equally fantastic—friendly, efficient, and always ready to accommodate my needs. I truly look forward to my visits, which says a lot about a dentist! Dr. Pollina has transformed my perspective on dental care, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a trustworthy, top-notch dentist.
Aloha Dr Polina for taking such awesome care of myself and my wife! You are always so sincere and personal! Yes, the wait is a little long, but it was worth the care we got! Mahalo for caring for our city the way you do!
My family has been seeing Dr Pollina for years and are very happy with his services, professionalism, and knowledge. The office staff is very friendly and wait times are very short. Highly recommend Dr Pollina.
New Dimensions is the best dentist I've been to! I've been going to this same spot for years and years and have always experienced an amazing level of service and care that I haven't experienced at other dentists. Dr Pollina provides a clean, calm environment and he has great taste in music. If you are ever in the Johnstown area, I highly recommend this dentist.
Been seeing Dr. Pollina for almost 10 years—he's amazing. I have a horrible fear of dentists and bad teeth genetically. He always makes me feel relaxed and safe. I live in Pittsburgh and tried other dentists but drive almost 2 hours to Johnstown just for him. Great service and friendly personality. Yes, there's usually a wait, but it's posted everywhere.
Thank you for your loyalty! We're honored you drive from Pittsburgh to New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We'll continue to make your visits comfortable, especially for your dental exams and cleanings. See you next time!
This is the worst dentist ever. Every time I take my children there it is at least an hour wait until they are seen. One time I waited 3 hours. Also my son is 8 years old and was nervous about getting teeth pulled so he was crying. The doctor walked out of the room and refused to work on his teeth since he was crying. Dr. Pollina is awful idk how he remains to be a dentist.
My daughter was scheduled at 12pm taken in at 1pm for a root canal and then given her numbing shot at 2pm 1 time. At 330 pm when asked when the dentist would be in to start i was told that he already started. Which was a lie my daughter was texting me and they said that they was standing in the hallway on their phones so after being numbed 90 minutes he went in 2 mins later said he she started to cry. And refused to do it and referred us out. After 3.5hrs we accomplished nothing. And then the dentist was a smart ass and said he wasn't sitting back there playing poker. All I done was asked when they was going to start after being their for 3.5hrs and nothing being started
Extremely long wait time, arrogant doctor claiming everyone gets the same kind of dentures regardless of high insurance allowance, which was stamped in red and circled on my chart. Why, if it didn't matter?? That's so he knows how much more he can charge, even though all dentures were the same quality!! Exam rooms were tiny areas separated by curtains, and weren't clean, and walls had half inch dust. They ask for an upfront $50 deposit to be refunded after the 3+ months of delivery of new dentures, even if you have insurance. Doctor was so creepy and arrogant and would not listen to what I wanted, just told me I had old gums. Felt very insulted. They told my MedVan driver I argued with doctor when he called to see why the time frame was excessive. Recieved a rude phone call when I got home and was told my next appointment that was scheduled was canceled and that the doctor said for me to find another dentist that would pacify me. How insulting, and again arrogant. Staff all had dirty shoes and sloppy scrubs. What doctor asks for a deposit when they know you have insurance and dismisses like that. I believe it was because I questioned too many things, like why does everyone get the same type of dentures when you have an $8200 dental allowance. Like a dirty overbooked meat market that is scamming your insurance. Must have been over 15 people in waiting room, plus some outside, which consisted of old church pews. Please read all reviews and choose a professional, clean dentist. His qualifications are also published falsely and he is not well liked by other professionals. This place truly needs shut down. Notifying the BBB and the health department immediately. Could go on and on, but just read what others experienced, I wouldn't take a pet rat to him. I'm 70 years old and was appalled to experience this. Anyplace is better than here!!! What an awful waste of my time!!!
Drove over an hour for an 11am appointment. Showed up at 10:50, wasn't spoken to until 11:15 to fill out paperwork. Finished quickly, then waited until 12:15. Asked when I'd be seen—said I had to leave by 2 for my kids. They said there were two patients ahead and wait could be short or long. Left at 12:45 and rescheduled. Asked if it's always like this, she said yes.
We apologize for the long wait at New Dimensions Dentistry in Johnstown. We know your time is valuable and are working to improve scheduling. We'll do better to respect your appointment time.
