Honestly, the best service I've ever had at a dental clinic! The team at Northwest Dentistry in Federal Way was super professional and gentle, really paying close attention to my specific needs. If I could give zero stars I would. I've been coming here for 12 years, but my last two visits were horrible. On March 3rd, 2025, I went in for my annual exam and cleaning. After the service was done, the receptionist came into the room while I was still on the table and told me they have new ownership and my insurance isn't in network anymore. So I had to pay out of pocket. That's super unprofessional—they could've told me beforehand. Really disappointed.

I recently broke a tooth and needed a crown. The office got me in pretty quick, and Dr. Yi did the work painlessly. She fully restored the tooth and now it's like it never happened! I'm so happy with my dentist in Federal Way and all the staff are great too. :-)

I was a patient here from 2013 to 2020 but left because of poor scheduling and insurance issues. The backup receptionist didn't understand my policy, and I got the runaround trying to book appointments. Gave two stars because the dentist was kind, but the admin problems gave me a headache. I switched to a dentist closer to my house.

If I could rate a zero star I would. Do NOT under any circumstances take your child or teen to this dental office. They are very UNPROFESSIONAL and UNWILLING to work with any sort of anxiety/fear. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. They say my daughter tried to bite and kick them, yet my daughter and her step mother both states that did not happen. If you are searching for a new dental office this is most definitely NOT the place to go!
Small place but has a warm feel, and the staff are wonderful. My first visit for some tooth extractions went well today. Even though it took forever to get numb, the doctor was really patient and her assistant helped keep me calm. I'm insecure about my oral hygiene, but they made me feel like I have a million dollar smile. I'm getting upper dentures and a bottom partial soon, and after talking about my future plans, I'm building my confidence back. Will definitely recommend this dentist in Federal Way.

Dr. Yi is excellent. She explained everything clearly, and I felt comfortable and pain-free during my procedure. She's super personable and friendly, and there were no long waits. The staff were thoughtful and explained my insurance benefits, helping me plan my treatment and billing. The location in Federal Way is really convenient, and they even send text reminders. Honestly, this was the best dental experience of my life. If you need a dentist, definitely check them out.

Decided to try this office after my mom recommended it. I expected to wait at least 2 hours like other dental offices, but they took me right after check-in and paperwork. The treatment went smooth and I was out in an hour! Dr. Yi thoroughly examined and cleaned my teeth, explaining problem areas and how she'd treat them next time. Staff were super friendly and the doctor explained everything in a way I could understand. Great experience in Federal Way.

My whole family has received care here for at least 10 years. I have a child with special needs and has oral aversion and they have been amazing! I also have special medical needs and they really work hard to work with me and help me with my oral health needs. I would highly recommend them to anyone
I’ve been going to this office for 20 years, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a dental office. All of the employees throughout the years have been wonderful. The lovely office manager is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Dr. Yi seems quite knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly. I’ve never had a poor experience there.
I've been scared of dentists my entire life, to the point of having anxiety attacks about going. To add, every dentist I've ever been to were NEVER caring or gentle with the work they did. I never received options of restoration, only just to pull them out. I thought my only option was dentures. Dr. Yi and her staff did exactly the opposite. They were compassionate and caring. They took am interest in what I wanted to achieve with my teeth. They were honest and up from with several options. I now have hope of full restoration. I could never thank Dr. Yi enough.
Have not been to this dentist in a while because I dnt like pain and the only gentle one is the asian lady. Plus when my daughter went after rescheduling her appointment. The lady at the front desk was rude and one of the dentist helpers was trying to compete with my daughters teeth and hers. We're just going to find another dentist.

I, for whatever reason, get extremely nervous when going to the dentist. However, my experiences have all been AMAZING. From the front desk clerk, to the dental assistant and doctor, they made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this office.

Great experience! The staff always greets me with a smile and genuinely ask how I am. Came in for a checkup and the assistant was gentle with X-rays. I mentioned sensitivity on a few teeth that other dentists had been watching, and Dr. Yi recommended fillings. When I came back for the fillings, I was nervous about getting numb, but the doctor was super gentle—one of the best numbing experiences I've had. Highly recommend this Federal Way dentist!
