My 1yr old grandson went for his checkup and they barely opened his mouth wide enough to see the front of his teeth. No brushing no nothing and said $170!! NEVER AGAIN!! What sucks for them is I have 3 family members that go there that will be going elsewhere 😕

I'm saddened that you and I weren't able to communicate thoroughly to resolve this as these situations are benign and can easily be remedied and avoided through communication. I wasn't aware of the situation due to everything seeming okay before, during, and after the visit. We see toooooonnnnnns of kiddos (and adults who are scarred during childhood with painful and avoidable experiences), and their early years are pivotal to establishing a healthy lifelong relationship with dentistry. I can't tell you how many times I have heard "I haven't been back to the dentist in ____ years due to a bad experience when I was child."
Child exams are largely for educating caregivers, building habits, and developing a good relationship with the office (a child with autism came to our office probably 20 separate times, all included in that $170 fee, so he could become comfortable with the dental space). This is all usually covered by insurance anyway.
I hope that you and the 3 family members find an office that is interested in the person behind the mouth and not the dollar signs attached to it. Far too many dental offices push treatment and scar children because of it. We do our best to set up kiddos for a lifetime of dental health. I assure you that I’m not interested in the $170. In fact, we didn't even charge you the $170 (waiting on insurance) and you know that so please be fair in your feedback/review and not misleading (we did look in the mouth. As you can imagine, we aren't going to treat a 1yr old the same as we would treat an adult. It's an art. We want them to learn and develop trust at the dentist and that is not earned by force). We want people treated right and satisfied with their care.

Honestly, I was so surprised to find the best dental place in a small town like Joshua, TX! Any gave me the most gentle and easy cleaning I’ve ever had. I always thought cleanings had to hurt, but nope, not here. Old Betsy is the only place I want for dental work from now on. If you need a regular dental checkup, definitely check them out.

If you're nervous about going to the dentist, go here!! Any (Annie) is absolutely amazing, and the front office ladies are too. There are a lot of mean people out there, but not a single one works at this office. 10/10 recommend—payment and insurance options available too. Great for pediatric dentistry if you have kids!

My husband had an appt for a cleaning in August, they cancelled at the last minute and actually told him they couldn't get him in until November. I mean typically if the office cancels your appt at the last minute, most try to find a way to fit you in asap. Not this place! They told him they couldn't get him in until mid November, so that's what he did, booked his cleaning for mid November. Low and behold they call two days before his appt and cancel AGAIN. This time do you think they tried to fit him in asap???? Nope! The girl got an attitude when I questioned them now putting off his appt for a total of 5 months. That's crazy to me and beyond unprofessional. It definitely doesn't make my family want to make any further appts with them, well except my husband who has signed up for another 3 month wait.🤦♀️I mean this office will charge you if YOU cancel last minute but for them, just deal with it. We love the one hygienist there but the skills at the front desk are seriously lacking. I definitely will not be recommending them anymore in the future.
Extremely pleasant experience. Ally greeted me and showed real empathy for my tooth pain. She was phenomenal and kind, offering me coffee and explaining my options for emergency dental care. The office has a cozy home feel—I really enjoyed my visit. Great place for root canal treatment if you ever need it.

Michelle did a great job cleaning my teeth and explaining things. The Dr. was also very helpful in helping me understand some things as well. Every one that works there is super friendly and helpful.
Ive had nothing but bad experiences with previous dentist but Dr. Dakota and Dr. Brock literally changed my life. They talked me through the process of pulling 5 teeth and helped it go by with complete ease - they were patient and kind and funny - made me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend them to anybody and everybody and will be switching to them primarily for me and my 4 year old son 🤍

OUTSTANDING!! I absolutely love Betsy Dental office! From the moment you walk in the front door, Look around and the entryway and seating area. Welcome you without any words. When you approach the front counter you are greeted by staff that obviously love their job. The dental hygienist Any knows more than just how you clean your teeth and gums, but other areas to help between the jaw and the neck. She hears me and always supports my routine. She also loves her job and it shows! Dr.Argyle is Amazing! I am very particular about my teeth. I had just moved here 3 years ago when my I had a dental issue.i had been flying back to California for my dentist, and it was time to switch. From the moment that Dr. Argyle became my dentist his care and concern to keep up with my dental expectations, he has not only met but exceeded them!!

I've had complicated denture work and they have worked on it for me several times making sure that it was going to be correct and I would be happy with them.
Dr Argyle and Ashley worked with me today and we're both really dedicated to making sure that I was satisfied and comfortable.
