Honestly, if I could give zero stars I would. The dentist covering for Dr. Mathur at Park Hill Dental Center in Deer Park was terrible. He ruined my mouth and gets angry when things don't go his way. The lab got the fit and color wrong on the crown I needed, and he made my mouth hurt for three days after. He told me to let him know if I had pain and he'd give me more numbing, but when I said something he said it was too late and drilled for another 20 minutes. Can't say enough good things about this dental office in Deer Park – and from me that's a big deal lol. I hate the dentist but not Park Hill Dental Center. Doctor Mathur is a nice guy but not a very good dentist. My hygienist was nice but her shirt was covered in animal hair and the cleaning was weak. He 'fixed' a tooth we didn't discuss, molded a crown from a broken tooth twice. Each time he did work, I had sores from the drill on my tongue that took forever to heal. My root canals are still throbbing months later. He's really root canal happy and having dental students observe is disconcerting.

Had a root canal done. After he closed the opening, I told him I could still feel some pain – mind you, I had no pain or sensitivity to hot or cold before, now it's intense. Friday I told him about the throbbing, he said give it 3-4 days and take Motrin. It's been a week and 3 days and the pain is worse. Office closed for Thanksgiving. I'm truly disgusted.

DR. Mathur is awesome – love his personality. Yeah, I had a painful cleaning but that's because I hadn't had one in years. My fault. The hygienist made me promise to keep up with it for my own sake. Great experience at Park Hill Dental Center in Deer Park for cleanings and exams.

Rude and unprofessional receptionist! She's an older lady with an attitude once she learns you don't have private insurance. Snobbish, judgmental, and seems racist. Everyone else is great though.

THE WORST!! Made me wait 2 hours just to tell me I have to pay $30 for an X-ray. Went to my other dentist and insurance had no problem. Then they said they couldn't remove the tooth that was keeping me from eating or sleeping. Just found out I have an abscess too. Horrible service – seems like they only want your money. I recommend no one come to this place.

Park Hill Dental Center has THE BEST dental hygienist ever – her name is Eva! I have super sensitive teeth and Eva is a magician. Minimal pain during my teeth cleaning. She's incredibly knowledgeable and always knows the latest info. Dr. Parag Mathur and Eva have wonderful bedside manner, they truly care and don't push unnecessary treatments. The whole staff is friendly. Highly recommend this practice for cleanings and exams in Deer Park!

Called for info on the 30th and called for an appointment on the 12th. Was told 6 months for a new patient appointment. Why are you taking new patients if no one is waiting 6 months to see a dentist? Make it make sense. You're blocking Medicaid patients.
